In one week in North Carolina, the state has been hit by an earthquake, hurricane, and tornado, at the same time a pandemic is sweeping the state, making people scratch their heads at what could be next .

The damage from the earthquake was minimal, but enough to cause safety concerns to shut down a street in the small town of Sparta, North Carolina.

Further earthquake damage reports from Sunday morning’s earthquake were coming in slowly on social media from the Sparta region. There are no reported injuries at this time.
Local news reported some damage to streets.

The USGS reported that there were at least 5 foreshocks yesterday and this morning prior to the M 5.1 quake. The last earthquake this size to hit North Carolina was in the Asheville area back in 1916.

The quake measured 5.1 magnitude and struck near the border between North Carolina and Virginia at 8:07 AM today. The epicenter was near Sparta, NC.

Numerous buildings reported foundational damage.
This TV was a casualty from the earthquake in Sparta, NC. The brick wall outside was cracked as well.
