Media and News organizations are having debates over whether to capitalize the words Black and White when referring to people, agreeing that Black should always be capitalized, and disagreeing on whether White should be or not.
The AP, Associated Press has been the arbitrator of what passes for “correct” English grammar style and they have a usage guide that is extremely detailed on how proper news should refer to everything under the sun, in journalism and documents, however, they are not really without bias themselves.
The reasons for not capitalizing White expose a deep-seated hatred and racism against people deemed “White”.
Get this, AP says, “We agree that white people’s skin color plays into systemic inequalities and injustices, and we want our journalism to robustly explore those problems. But capitalizing the term white, as is done by white supremacists, risks subtly conveying legitimacy to such beliefs.”
The new rule also shows how illogical racists are.
According to the AP, “After changing its usage rules last month to capitalize the word “Black” when used in the context of race and culture, The Associated Press on Monday said it would not do the same for “white.”
The AP said white people, in general, have much less shared history and culture and don’t have the experience of being discriminated against because of skin color.”
So woke.🙄AP is #FakeNews
AP says it will capitalize Black but not whitehttps://t.co/qVKGPJIzFN

Let’s think about that.
The definition of “discriminate” is:
the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex.
2.recognition and understanding of the difference between one thing and another.
“discrimination between right and wrong”
So the AP is discriminating against Whites because they haven’t been discriminated against.
Yes that is what passes as “woke” journalism in this current age.
Institutional discrimination is ok, as long as it against Whites and elevating Blacks.
Let’s look up “Racist”:
“prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
“the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another.
Interesting:
There was clear desire and reason to capitalize Black. Most notably, people who are Black have strong historical and cultural commonalities, even if they are from different parts of the world and even if they now live in different parts of the world. (3/8)

Someone needs to tell the AP that words have meanings.
