Senator Rand Paul Warns That the Republican Party Will Have a Mass Exodus if They Support Trump Impeachment Trial

On Friday, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) gave a wise warning to the Republican Party that a very large number of Trump supporters will leave the party (me included) if some of the Republicans in the Senate continue to support the second effort to remove President Donald Trump from office, especially if the Democrats try it after he leaves office, which is not Constitutional.

Rand made an appearance on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show “The Ingraham Angle” where he explained to the host that a mass exodus from the party will happen if the Republicans don’t grow a pair and realize the Democrats are doing this for political reasons to make it so that Trump cannot run for office again.

“I don’t often get asked my advice from leadership how they should react. My unsolicited suggestion would be this: they will destroy the Republican Party if leadership is complicit with an impeachment or leadership votes for an impeachment, they will destroy the party,” Paul said.

Paul went on to warn that the GOP would lose one-third of the party’s membership or more if they support the Marxists’ efforts.  And there is no reason for RINOs like Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Pat Toomey (R-PA) and others to say that they support a trial against the president because they think that the Democrats will be more willing to negotiate in the future if they do what they want them to do now.   I got news for them.  Marxism has fully taken over the Democratic Party, the leadership at least.   There is no negotiating with socialists who are pushing Marxist agendas.  They do not care what Republicans think.  Hell, they don’t even care what their own constituents think, and that we have learned from experience.

“Impeachment is purely a partisan thing. It’s for these moral, ‘Oh I’m so much better than you and you’re a bad person because I’m so moral’ — It’s for these kind of people to do this,” Paul said.

The senator added, “I didn’t agree with the fight that happened last week, and I voted against overturning the election.  But at the same time, the impeachment is a wrongheaded, partisan notion. But if Republicans go along with it, it will destroy the party — a third of the Republicans will leave the party.”

“This isn’t anymore about the Electoral College. It’s about the future of the party and whether you’re going to ostracize and ex-communicate President Trump from the party,” Paul added. “Well, guess what? Millions of his fans will leave as well.”

The House officially impeached President Trump for the second time last week, approving an article of impeachment against the president for “incitement of insurrection.”  In all the pages of the article, there is not a single case of evidence presented that the president incited an insurrection.  The House did not call a single witness for the impeachment.  And like the first impeachment, this one was a sham as well.  They once again impeached an innocent president.

Democrats, and some Republicans who are the usual suspects, blamed Trump’s words in his speech at the rally prior to the march to the Capitol building, where he talked about how the Democrats stole the 2020 election, for increasing tensions right before the deadly riot at the Capitol on January 6.  Here is what Trump actually said that they are calling incitement:

“I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”  Where is the incitement?

The House voted to impeach President Trump 232-197.  All House Democrats voted to impeach and ten Republicans who now must be primaried out joined them.

Trump was ultimately impeached by a vote of 232-197. Every Democrat supported the impeachment effort, and they were joined by 10 Republicans.

Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY), who is the third-highest ranking Republican, supported the impeachment and voted to impeach the president.   The Wyoming Republican Party said that Cheney’s decision to join the Marxist Democrats ignited an unprecedented number of complaints.

“Much more will become clear in coming days and weeks, but what we know now is enough. The President of the United States summoned this mob, assembled the mob, and lit the flame of this attack,” Cheney said.

“Everything that followed was his doing. None of this would have happened without the President. The President could have immediately and forcefully intervened to stop the violence. He did not,” she added.

Not a word of that is true, and we have since seen evidence revealed that leftist groups were plotting to pose as Trump supporters to attack the Capitol.  It has been reported that the FBI knew two days prior to the rally and they informed local police departments but they never told the president of the United States.  I wonder why?
