Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) said that his family has received no less than five death threats over his public disagreements with National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, the little man who flip-flopped more often than a high school gymnast on coronavirus related issues.
“This week, I’ve had five death threats just for being outspoken on it,” Paul said during an appearance on Fox News’s “Hannity,” with host Sean Hannity.
Paul, who has on more than one occasion called for Fauci to be fired from his post, told the host that having a civil disagreement isn’t possible any longer because his family suffered “as a repercussion” to public arguments.
“I don’t know what the world’s coming to. You can’t ask honest, difficult questions that have proved out that Dr. Fauci was not being honest with us, but as a repercussion, my family had white powder sent to our house and five death threats phoned in,” the Republican senator said.
Last month, the senator revealed that his family received an envelope that contained white powder and a letter threatening the family and included was a photo of a gun pointed at Paul’s head. “I’ll finish what your neighbor started, you motherf**k*r,” obviously referring to a 2017 incident in which Paul was tackled to the ground on his front lawn by his crazy leftist neighbor and was hospitalized with broken ribs. He could have died and needed surgery.
Notice how Democrat leadership is pretty much silent whenever a Republican is attacked by their supporters. Meanwhile, Democrats are still trying to convince the world that all 74 million Trump voters are white supremacists who tried to take over the government on January 6. Steve Scalise was shot on a baseball diamond by a Bernie Sanders supporter and Democrats are more concerned about white supremacists who have nothing to do with the Republican Party.
Paul told Hannity Fauci’s emails that were recently released after a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request totally justify his past criticisms of the immunologist who it’s looking more and more like he funded the Wuhan lab’s gain-of-function research through a nonprofit called EcoHealth Alliance.
It turns out that Fauci lied about so many things just to keep his powerful position and he was involved in a cover-up of the money given to the Wuhan lab in Wuhan, China that more than likely used to for the gain-of-function research on the coronavirus.
“There’s been no more prominent scientist in favor of gain-of-function research than Dr. Fauci,” Paul said. “He still hasn’t backed off of that position. He still believes that it’s OK to take animal viruses and make them into superviruses to infect humans. Even if a pandemic should occur, he says the research is worth it.”
“But you know what? There’s a host of other scientists in this field, and they say it’s not worth it at all, that we haven’t learned anything,” Paul added. “All we’ve done is put ourselves at risk.”
Paul said the gain-of-function research used at the virology lab in Wuhan, China, must stop.
“This is a bad one,” Paul said of the COVID-19 pandemic. “This has about 1% mortality — 3.5 million people have died. But they’ve been experimenting with some viruses that have 15% mortality. That would be 50 million deaths right now.”
“So, this kind of research needs to not be funded by the U.S. taxpayer,” he added. “It’s very, very dangerous.”
On Friday, the senator from Missouri went on social media to post some of the revelations discovered in Fauci’s released emails.
“Anthony Fauci’s recently released emails and investigative reporting about #COVID19 origins are shocking,” and he called for him to step down as the director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). “The time has come for Fauci to resign and for a full congressional investigation into the origins of #COVID19 – and into any and all efforts to prevent a full accounting.”
Hawley tweeted a follow-up.
“The public deserves to know if persons within the US govt tried to stop a full investigation into #COVID origins, as recently reported,” the Republican Senator of Missouri said. “And Congress must also find out to what extent Fauci’s NIAID was involved in financing research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
