Rioter Fined $12 Million For Helping Set Fire To Minneapolis Police Station During ‘Mostly Peaceful’ Black Lives Matter Riots

23-year-old Dylan Shakespeare Robinson has been ordered to pay $12 million for his part in the burning down of a police station in Minneapolis. He has also been sentenced to four years in prison. I wonder how he will pay the $12 million. maybe he could donate blood about 480,000 times. He could sell all of the furniture in the basement but his momma got real mad when he did that in order to buy the latest X-Box.

The fine must be paid after Robinson serves a four-year prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to the arson. Three others have been convicted but have not been sentenced yet. The station house was burned during the BLM riots in 2020. Robinson’s lawyer said that there is no possible way his client can come up with $12 million dollars which was part of his sentence which also includes two years of supervision.

The Associated Press reported:

“Dylan Shakespeare Robinson, 23, was also ordered to serve two years of supervised release and pay back $12 million for damages that resulted from the May 2020 precinct fire,” reported the Associated Press.

“A federal complaint accused Robinson of lighting a Molotov cocktail that another person threw toward the 3rd Precinct headquarters on East Lake Street. In addition, Robinson and others allegedly tore down a fence that surrounded the building,” the Associated Press added.

“Three other people have pleaded guilty in federal court for their roles in the precinct fire and are awaiting sentencing.”

Acting U.S. Attorney Anders Folk said:

“On the night of May 28, 2020, Mr. Robinson chose to depart from lawful protest and instead engaged in violence and destruction. The arson at the Minneapolis Police Department’s Third Precinct put lives at risk and contributed to widespread lawlessness in Minneapolis. With today’s sentence, Mr. Robinson is held accountable for his actions.”

I am actually in shock the any BLM rioter got convicted. Certainly very few have or will. In Minneapolis Gov Walz claims that arson cost the city $500 million dollars.

Compared to that $12 million isn’t much. Walz tried to get the money from Trump but he got nowhere.

Trump probably thought it was immoral to have your police stand down and then expect the rest of the country to pay for it.

After two years and he does not make substantial monthly payments, lock his butt back up until he can…which is never. Keep him locked up. I’m not a fan of life sentences but keeping him in until full restitution is made would be good example. He will never be a productive person.

Just another white useful idiot for the violent anti America, racist BLM to exploit and then abandon to face his punishment alone. Don’t wait for the BLM to come save you or even thank you erect a statue in honor of your sacrifice, now you will understand what being a useful idiot means. They have already forgotten you.

Work it off in prison camp at the new federal minimum wage. At that rate, it would only take him a little over 3000 years to pay it off. Sounds fair to me.

You claim to be surprised he got convicted? He didn’t. There was no trial because he pleaded guilty and then was sentenced. See the difference?

It’s all very confusing. It appears he pleaded guilty in federal court to arson and conspiracy to commit arson, and the guilty result was justified. It also appears this, since this was done in federal court, he gets to serve the entire sentence, which is a good thing.

It appears he hasn’t been charged with anything in state court, probably because Governor Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey did mush those days to encourage the arsonist and other criminals. The 3 or 4 articles I reviewed said nothing about pending charges in Minnesota.

I also wonder if there are any other convictions around the nation springing from last summer. In so many cases, it appeared elected authority figures did all they could to encourage the rioters. I moved out of Minneapolis last December after living there for about 65 of my 70 years. I could not get away fast enough. There have been many carjackings very close to the house where I lived for the last 41 years. I understand there are a number of square blocks around Floyd Ground Zero (38th and Chicago) that police are prohibited from going, even today

It doesn’t appear that anything will improve in Minneapolis for the foreseeable future.

pity to see big fish get away, ie antifart and BLM leaders who organized the riots, while the “law and justice” beat up on a minnow. sad state of affairs in the USA.
