President Trump produced results. Despite how Americans may feel about his methods, he got things done. He did more positive things for the nation than any previous president in modern memory. His popularity with patriotic conservatives is not surprising.
However, what is surprising is the few Republicans who refuse to acknowledge the feelings of their own voters. Despite their own constituents roundly supporting the policies of President Trump, these Republican turncoats voted to impeach him.
If this seems insane, it’s because it is. Ten U.S. House Republicans voted for the articles of impeachment. It was a sham. But these traitors to party and country chose to vote “aye” for a bogus impeachment. The impeachment failed.
But it looks like the political careers of these ten so-called “Republicans” are failing as well. So, where do these 10 Republican representatives stand today? The biggest loudmouth against President Trump has been Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney.
Cheney’s bitterness towards the former president is obvious. She hates him. Her hatred is going to cost her another term as Wyoming’s U.S. Representative. Currently, Trump-endorsed Republican Harriet Hageman leads Cheney by as much as 30 percentage points.
Rather than face their voters, four of these traitors chose the easy way out. They decided to quit rather than be exposed as conservative frauds. One of Ohio’s 16 U.S. House Representatives elected to quit. Former NFL player Anthony Gonzalez decided not to run for reelection.
The winds seemed clearly against the former Ohio State Buckeye. The Ohio Republican Party censored Gonzalez and subsequently requested his resignation. The most notable of the “convenient retirements” is that of crying Adam Kinzinger.
The Illinois congressman has been one of the biggest Republican turncoats. Since announcing his retirement, Kinzinger has felt it wise to openly bash the popular former president. Adam Kinzinger wouldn’t stand a chance in his own party primary, therefore he quit.
Likewise, Representatives John Katko and Fred Upton (both from New York) have decided to avoid exposing themselves to the truth. Republican voters are sick and tired of “Republicans in Name Only” (RINOs). They want them out of office. Therefore, these cowards chose to retire.
However, and most notably, their constituents have already sent other anti-Trump U.S. Representatives packing. Jaime Herrera Beutler (Washington) conceded defeat to challenger Joe Kent. President Trump backed Kent, yet another victory for the former president.
Michigan Representative Peter Meijer fell to Trump-endorsed John Gibbs. Meijer’s massive wealth didn’t help him manipulate Michigan voters. Congressman Tom Rice (South Carolina) was actually the first pro-impeachment Republican to go down in defeat.
Rice lost his reelection bid earlier this year. Not only did Rice lose, he was clobbered at the ballot box. He fell by 25 percentage points to former State Representative Russell Fry. Fry was another of many Trump-endorsed Republicans to win their primaries.
Dan Newhouse (Washington) and David Valadao (California) are the only two out of these 10 turncoat Republicans to have either decided not to run again or been defeated in their primary. Sadly, both face tough midterm election challenges in predominately liberal-leaning states.
So, what does the defection or defeat of 80 percent of the “Trump Hating House Representatives” signal? It signals that President Trump is as popular as ever with patriotic Americans. The radical left is threatened by his “America First” bravado.
Other people just don’t like his tweets. Some simply hate America. It’s ridiculous. But voters are telling the country what they really think. Millions still support the former president. This will become glaringly obvious in less than 100 days. On November 8, Americans will speak.
