RINOS Vote To Save Fauci

In Republican politics, there has been a great frustration for over two decades at the amount of progress the party can make at times, defending liberty and winning background we lost to the left, only see  “squishy Republicans” come in and snatch a GOP victory away- and protect the left and their Marxist push on our Republic.  Those kinds of Republicans are well-funded “RINOS”- or Republicans In Name Only.

We can see those same RINOS working to protect the Democrat’s disastrous fall from grace, at this very moment.

Six Republican RINOS Senators voted against an amendment Tuesday that would eliminate the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) position, which is held by Dr. Anthony Fauci, protecting him from facing the consequences of a massive public outcry for justice by the American people.

Rand Paul (R-KY), a US Senator and Physician himself, has been boldy outspoken about Fauci’s performance while at the agecy- led an amendment to replace the NIAID with three separate national research institutes.

RINOS showed up in force and voted to protect Fauci, and the established order in Washington DC, where the elite never has to be influenced by what the public needs or wants.

Each of them have a long string of votes which betray their Republican base.

Republican Senators Richard Burr of North Carolina, Susan Collins of Maine, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, and Jerry Moran of Kansas each voted against the amendment.

“We’ve learned a lot over the past two years, but one lesson, in particular, is that no one person should be deemed ‘dictator-in-chief,’” said Paul when he introduced the amendment Monday, adding, “No one person should have unilateral authority to make decisions for millions of Americans.”

“This will create accountability and oversight into a taxpayer-funded position that has largely abused its power, and has been responsible for many failures and misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic,” Paul said about his amendment.

Videos of Paul and Fauci have gone viral, from intense public interest over Senate hearings on Fauci’s insistence about restricting the American public throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Paul has called many times for Fauci to be ousted from his position.

The RINOS voted to protect Fauci’s power.  Fauci has been clear to the American media and to the American people that he believes that he is entitled to that power, and that is he is comfortably dispelling the idea of individual rights of American citizens. The RINOS agree with him.

Consider the following appearance with Fauci.  Tim Haines of Real Clear Politics called it, “Fauci Decries “Misplaced Perception” About Individual Rights Superseding “Societal Safety”

Fauci appeared on “CBS This Morning” and said there,  that Republicans — and former President Donald Trump — have a “misplaced perception about people’s individual right to make a decision that supersedes the societal safety,” Paul said that his comments showed a “casual disregard for what this country was founded upon.”

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: One of the things that to me was most difficult to accept is that we put together a good plan for how we were going to try and dampen down the spread of infection early on, thinking that that was accepted by everybody. And then, the next day you have the president saying, ‘Free Michigan. Free Virginia.’ I didn’t quite understand what the purpose of that was, except to put this misplaced perception about people’s individual right to make a decision that supersedes the societal safety. That, to me, is one of the things that, I think, went awry in all of this.

TED KOPPEL, CBS NEWS: Did you ever raise that with President Trump?

FAUCI: You know, I didn’t have the opportunity to raise it. I was sort of, like, shocked, and then I didn’t speak to him for some time after that. But it was at that point that I realized that I would have to just get out there myself and say things that clearly were going to be contradictory – that it was much worse than we are saying it was, that it’s not going to go away tomorrow, it’s not going to disappear like magic.

According to a press release from Paul’s office:

As recently as 2012, Congress passed a law that eliminated the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) and reassigned some of its programs to a new National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), and assigned other NCRR functions to other institutes within NIH.

Dr. Paul’s amendment would keep with this precedent of reorganization, and would immediately eliminate Dr. Fauci’s position and replace it with three new directors of the following new institutes:

This amendment also aligns with NIAID’s existing mission statement, which begins by saying:  “NIAID conducts and supports basic and applied research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases.”
