President Joe Biden stated in no uncertain terms that the United States will intervene militarily on behalf of Taiwan if China invades its territory. Biden was speaking at a conference in Tokyo with Japan‘s Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida.
For any other president, including Jimmy Carter, Biden’s statement, wrong as it was to say publicly, would have been taken somewhat seriously by the Communist Chinese Party, but with the half-wit thief we have running the show, I’m not so sure.
A reporter went for broke and asked Biden based on the fact that the US doesn’t want to “get involved in the Ukraine conflict militarily for obvious reasons, are you willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if it comes to that?”
“Yes,” Biden dolefully said.
I think at this point you could ask Joe Biden “If ANTIFA wanted to redecorate the Oval Office, would you agree to it?” and he would say yes.
“You are,” the reporter confirmed.
“That’s the commitment we made,” Biden said. “That’s the commitment we made. We are not … look. Here’s the situation: we agree with the One China policy, we’ve signed onto it, and all of the attendant agreements made from there,” Biden added.
“But the idea that, that it could be taken by force, just taken by force, is just not appropriate. It will dislocate the entire region and be another action similar to what happened in Ukraine. And so it’s a burden that is even stronger,” Biden said.
Former President Donald Trump was always castigated by the leftist misinformation news media when he would not give specifics on certain things because you just don’t do that. Biden didn’t read that memo. Most Democrats will run their mouths to get credit, like when Bill Clinton said during a presser that the US intelligence community was tracking Osama bin Laden’s satellite phone when he was making calls to his mother who was in a hospital in France. Once bin Laden, like the rest of the world, heard Clinton say that, he got rid of the phone and used a human messenger for the rest of his life. Bill Clinton was the reason it was so difficult to find bin Laden. Then there was Barack Obama who mentioned publicly the STUXnet computer virus that took down Iran’s nuclear program’s computers, knocking them back years. Obama bragged about it and mentioned we were working with Israeli intelligence on the virus.
Former presidents have offered strategic ambiguity when asked about a military response to China invading Taiwan.
Biden’s administration was surprised to hear their boss admit that the US will offer more than just aid of arms and resources to Taiwan. Instead, we’re talking real military assistance. What that means is anybody’s guess. Did the leader of the free world just vow to send troops to Taiwan to fight a hot war or was it a promise of missile strikes or even nukes?
Up until now, US policy makers have walked statements right up to a line they never crossed when talking about supporting Taiwan, never actually saying what US support would mean. The Big Guy blew a hole in that strategy now that he ran his mouth.
And like most times when the pinhead-in-chief makes an asinine statement that embarrasses our country, the White House had to send in the disinformation experts to walk back Biden’s comments. You would think instead of having these embarrassments happen, his staff would explain to him like you would a small child what is a no no to say and what is acceptable.
“As the president said, our policy has not changed. He reiterated our One China Policy and our commitment to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. He also reiterated our commitment under the Taiwan Relations Act to provide Taiwan with the military means to defend itself,” the White House statement read.
It was in August that, after a similar statement by Biden that the US “would respond” if there were an attack against Taiwan, staff claimed that Biden was not changing US policy. He had said then that the US has a “commitment” to defend Taiwan.
This is getting serious, folks. Think about it. Biden got us into supplying weapons to Ukraine to stave off a Russian invasion, and now he’s promising to get us into another scenario where we will be supplying weapons and resources to Taiwan. If that happens, it would mean that the US would be engaged in two conflicts with its greatest rivals, China and Russia, on two different continents and at the same time. I don’t think the Secret Service allows Joe to use the TV remote control during reruns of Matlock every night, so why in the world would he be allowed to put us into this kind of situation? I don’t think there is an area of the job that Biden hasn’t completely FUBARed.
Of course, Taiwan was happily surprised to hear Biden’s words as the island nation’s Foreign Ministry asserted gratitude for the statement for Biden’s “rock-solid commitment to Taiwan,” according to the Times.
China’s state-ruin media published their “three-stage” strategy for invading Taiwan, which includes fighter jet attacks, ballistic missiles, and amphibious landings on Taiwan’s beaches.
