The Polish government has been fickle as of late.
On CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said, what was later touted as a lie, that the Polish government was going to send fighter jets to Ukraine. Only hours prior to Blinken’s appearance on Face the Nation, the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland came out and said that rumor about Poland providing fighter jets were fake news.
“Poland won’t send its fighter jets to Ukraine as well as allow to use its airports. We significantly help in many other areas.”
Then, on Tuesday, a little more than 48 hours later, the Polish government confirmed that it has made its entire fleet of MIG-29 fighter jets available “immediately and free of charge” to the forces of Ukraine.
It’s so weird because last week the Polish government said that sending major weapons like fighter jets to Ukraine would be the same thing as joining the conflict and that NATO was not at war with Russia. You gotta wonder what kinds of threats the Biden administration must have thrown at the Polish government.
Poland is sending their fleet of MIG-29 fighter jets to Rammstein, the US airbase in Germany. Tuesday evening, the Polish government said the aircraft were ready to be transferred over “immediately and free of charge.” For once, maybe Antony Blinken wasn’t lying when he said he was looking “very actively” at a plan to get Poland to donate the jets.
Only days ago, the Polish president stood next to the Secretary General of NATO and said, “NATO is not party” to the Russia-Ukraine conflict and that Poland sending jets to Ukraine “would open a military interference,” followed up by Poland is “not joining that conflict.”
Unfortunately you are spreading misinformation with quotation from 27/02/22.

Paweł Soloch, head of Poland’s National Security Bureau, said, “We are primarily thinking about the security of Ukraine and stopping this terrible war, but we must also see the potential escalation of the conflict towards a world conflict, and hence the NATO declarations that were made after discussions among the allies.”
Poland President Andrzej Duda said unambiguously, “we are not going to send any jets to the Ukrainian airspace.”
And that was that. Until it wasn’t.
Though Poland said they were pleased to give the old MIGs away for free, he expected to be reimbursed for his kindness by the US, writing in a statement, “Poland requests the United States to provide us with used aircraft with corresponding operational capabilities. Poland is ready to immediately establish the conditions of purchase of the planes.” So that explains the change of heart.
Even though the MIG-29s aren’t the most advanced fighter jets that can be given to Ukraine, the advantage of the old birds is that they are an airframe that Ukraine pilots are already familiar with, which means that Ukraine’s pilots and ground crews would be ready to put those babies in the air almost immediately.
The US government has made known it supports Poland, giving the fighter jets away to Ukraine. The UK said that Britain “would support the Poles and whatever choice they make.” That’s about as vague as it gets.
British Defence Minister Ben Wallace said, “We would protect Poland, we’ll help them with anything that they need,” according to the Daily Telegraph.
“Poland will understand that the choices they make will not only directly help Ukraine, which is a good thing but also may bring them into direct line of fire from countries such as Russia or Belarus,” Wallace said.
AND THEN, in yet another twist, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby, cames out against Poland’s gifting of the MIG-29 fighter jets.
“The prospect of fighter jets ‘at the disposal of the Government of the United States of America’ departing from a US/NATO base in Germany to fly into airspace that is contested with Russia over Ukraine raises serious concerns for the entire NATO alliance,” John Kirby wrote responding to Poland’s announcement.
So Antony Blinken lies on TV about Poland saying they will provide the aircraft as a way of virtue-signaling the Eastern European country into doing it, and then the Pentagon comes out against it after Poland changes its mind.
Why the hell would the Biden administration come out against arming Ukraine with fighter jets after sending Blinken out on a mission to procure them?
What a worse time for the Biden administration to look this confusing and screwed up (as usual) because there are now reports that the Chinese have sent CCP media outlets to be embedded with Russian troops.
