Cruz Humiliated Hirono, ‘Task Force on Violent Anti-Government Extremism’ Explained, Democrat Storms Out
An explosive Senate hearing on Anti-Government extremism on Tuesday exposed the radical left’s own anti-Government beliefs when far-left radical Democrat Senator Maize Senator Hirono from Hawaii, stomped out of the hearing room after making a plea to ignore historic violent uprisings around the country, calling the “Freedom of Speech” and tried to shame the chairman for having the hearing.
“I am leaving,” Hirono said.
I will be giving testimony to Congress today at the Senate hearing on anarchist violence. It will be live-streamed starting at 2:30 p.m. EST.

Jonathan Turley testified about Antifa and said,”It often appears that Antifa is either the new al Qaeda or the new “Big Foot.” President Trump wants Antifa classified as a terrorist organization while various Democratic politicians insist it is just a conservative phantom.”
This actually could be the pilot for Survivor: Capitol Hill where senators vote themselves off the island. The good thing is that it meant I could make it home for the Cubs game.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz humiliated Hirono as she barked at him off-mike after she shut off her mike, scolding him, saying that Republicans use deaths for making political points, defending Black Lives Matter. “We have a pesky thing called Freedom of Speech, and we should all join hands and denounce violent extremism. You are not listening, and I am not listening anymore. I am leaving,” Hirono said.
“She said nothing negative about Antifa,” Cruz said. “You’re welcome to say something negative about Antifa right now.”
Hirono refuses again. Walks out of the room.

COORDINATED EFFORTS OF FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPLAINED
The United States Government established the interagency CVE Task Force to unify the domestic CVE effort. The Task Force brings together experts from DHS, DOJ, FBI, NCTC and policy guidance from non-security agencies to coordinate investments in and dissemination of research and analysis, enhance engagement and technical assistance to diverse stakeholders, support the development of innovative intervention models, and cultivate communications and digital strategies according to the Department of Homeland Security Task Force.
Great article by @JJCarafano that accurately portrays DHS’s role in protecting federal buildings. Our communities are much safer when state and local politicians partner with federal law enforcement.https://t.co/n2Iu15BLTF

Amendments to Block Stimulus Payments Going to Illegal Aliens and Prisoners Rejected By Senate Democrats
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is bragging that the Senate delivered relief for New York.
“We just delivered robust, bold COVID relief for New York The #AmericanRescuePlan delivers $100 billion for NY families, workers, people, small businesses including restaurants and stages, state and local governments, vaccines This bill will help almost every single New Yorker”
What didn’t make it onto his social media account is how on Saturday the Senate Democrats rejected the coming COVID stimulus relief payments to illegal aliens who are living in our country illegally and to criminals currently in prison. I’m trying to find out if the Democrats gave more money to prisoners the way they originally did for illegals. Initially, Pelosi and Schumer offered $600 to American citizens and $1,800 to illegal aliens, fully three times as much as American citizens. That was until then-President Donald Trump stepped in and gave a speech talking about how disgraceful an act that was.
Prior to passing the outrageous $1.9 trillion stimulus bill filled with bailouts for Democrat-run cities and states that screwed up their economies long before COVID-19 came along, along with billions of dollars going to crazy things that have absolutely nothing to do with fighting COVID, things like $300 million going to the Agriculture Department to “conduct monitoring and surveillance of susceptible animals for incidence of SARS–CoV–2,” and $135 million to the National Endowment for the Arts and matching payments of $135 million to the National Endowment of the Humanities, neither of which have been open during the pandemic nor have anything to do with fighting COVID-19, Congressional Republicans offered up numerous amendments to make sure that Americans who need the relief the most would get it first. The Democrats rejected every one of them.
GOP senators were unable to strip any of the pork out of the bill when it was passed without a single Republican senator voting in favor, even the RINOs.
In an effort to do the right thing, to send the right message, and to save the American taxpayers about $2 billion three Republican senators, Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Tom Cotton (R-AR), and Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced an amendment that would have stopped payments going to “any individual who is incarcerated in a Federal or State prison.” The Democrats rejected it by a vote of 49-50.
In a statement, Cassidy said, “Prisoners do not pay taxes. Taxpayers pay for their every need. Inmates cannot stimulate the economy. But, under this bill they receive stimulus checks. This is a perfect example of nontargeted, inappropriate, and total waste of spending. It’s ridiculous that this is in the bill.”
And to think, the Democrats got the majority by pulling the same crap in the two Georgia Senate elections that they did during the 2020 presidential election. They announce they were going to stop counting votes the night of the Senate elections and resume in the morning yet we witnessed the numbers for Democrats shoot up in the middle of the night when no one was supposed to be counting ballots.
Ted Cruz also introduced an amendment to the bill that would have stopped payments going out to illegal aliens. The Democrats also rejected that proposal 49-50. Who is the lone Republican who didn’t vote?
Cruz took to social media to let the American people know what the Democrats had done before the Democrats spin machines, er… I mean the mainstream media filtered the message in favor of the Democrats.
“Joe Biden and the Democrats want to give illegal aliens $1,400 COVID relief checks.
I proposed an amendment to prevent that from happening.”
“This amendment before us today provides that the stimulus checks should not go to illegal aliens in this country,” Cruz said while introducing the amendment in the Senate. “The question for the American people to answer is, should your money, should taxpayer money, be sent, $1,400, to every illegal alien in America?”
The senator from Texas tweeted again about a quarter-hour later.
“Democrats just voted against my amendment that would have prevented American taxpayer dollars from being handed out to illegal aliens in the form of $1,400 stimulus checks.”
Senate Majority Whip Dick Durban (D-Ill.), however, accused Cruz of being dishonest.
“The statement of the senator from Texas is just plain false. False! Let me be clear: Undocumented immigrants do not have Social Security numbers, and they do not qualify for stimulus relief checks,” Durbin said according to The Hill.
Then how come it was previously reported that the Democrats allotted $1,800 to go to illegal aliens and only $600 to US citizens? Cruz was simply wanting to make sure that when the House gets the bill back from the Senate crazy Nany won’t try to put an illegal alien provision in.
Other amendments to the bill that were rejected by the Democrats include one to allow Keystone XL pipeline construction to continue, one to provide more targeted pandemic relief, and another one to require in-person classroom learning for education funding, among other amendments.
The Democrats rejected them all.
Mike Pence is a deceitful character who is being promoted to us by The Heritage Foundation as a concerned Republican; however, he has no fan base or swells of support, and frankly, he never did. And he certainly doesn’t now after the massive betrayal to President Donald J. Trump and his over 80 Million supporters who will never view Pence favorably, even after a recent PR column in the Daily Signal website, for Heritage, where Pence pretends to be concerned about elections.
“Double-Talk Update: VP Pence made unique, substantive & secret rule changes to prevent a debate on rival electors proposed by multiple state legislatures on Jan 6th. So well hidden, it took a congressional expert until 3AM to find & report them. Now Mr. Pence has an all-new tune..”Rasmussen reported on Friday, in response to a post by Kyle Cheney, who had been investigating Mike Pence’s actions on Jan 6th. See Cheney’s post below.
This is a common tactic for the GOP to use to try to shut people out; they use burdensome and heavy “parliamentary” rules to confuse people. The same exact thing the GOP did to try to take the nomination away from Trump at the RNC Convention in 2016, by the way, and how the party attempted to rid itself of the Trump delegates, so they could use Cruz delegates.
I have long said that people need to learn the crazy Roberts Rules of Order to deal with the deceitful political class.
Rasmussen Reports writes,” RIVAL ELECTORS SHUT OUT: VP Mike Pence references unnamed “parliamentarian’s” to prevent bring competing state legislature supported electors into consideration. It took until almost 3AM for @kyledcheneyto to find these. Kudos to him. Pence scope language changes are noted below.:
Here is the proof of the flip-flop by Pence, from Cheney, a Congressional reporter for Politico who posted a string of posts on Jan 7th:
“It’s 2:55 a.m., and I just figured out how Pence massaged the rules of the Electoral College counting session to avoid introducing the “rival” slates of Trump electors. These are the instructions VPs have given out at the start in each of the last 5. Note the difference?
LDR: The law specifies that the VP must introduce all “purported” electoral votes. This year that might’ve included the unserious/mock Trump electors. But Pence worked with the parliamentarian to interpret it so only electors backed by a state “authority” would be introduced.
Note how Pence emphasizes, before introduced each state, that not only is the slate of electors “regular” and “authentic,” but that the parliamentarian has advised him is the only one backed by a state “authority.” That is not a regular acknowledgment at these sessions.
A lot of people are interested in this process. Even had Pence introduced these electors, which it’s not entirely clear he had the authority to do, they would be legally invalid and unable to be counted by Congress. It would have accomplished nothing except making a lot of people angrier,” Cheney wrote.
SO NOTHING WAS GOING TO CHANGE?
So if it was no “biggie,” why is Pence now appearing to cover up those details? Why is he painting his actions in a different light?
Rasmussen brings up a good point that it appears from Pence’s Daily Signal column, he is misdirecting readers to believe he had to stop counting because of the events of Jan. 6th at the US Capitol, which conveniently temporarily paused the counting that many people were attempting to watch unfold?
We were never given an explanation of what happened to those slates of electors or what Pence did exactly.
Now we have a better idea, which we can see from some deceitful double wording.
See the green outline? He made a pledge and didn’t keep it. Why not?
EVERYTHING IS ABOUT PR, AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE NOT BE GIVEN A STRAIGHT ANSWER
Pence’s behavior since Jan 6th has been confusing and self-serving. His column in the Daily Signal on March 3rd is strange and awkward. He seems to be trying to damage control on his failing political career. Here he seems to be attempting to pretend to be a Republican again. But the whole March 3rd column rings hollow.
It is very odd.
Pence’s column didn’t receive much support online.
Pence spoke at an event this past Saturday in Orlando that was not well attended; in fact, the media didn’t address it all.
Recently at CPAC, in a straw poll, Pence received 1% support. No matter how he tries to spin in now, Pence will remain the focus of anger by the American people for his lack of transparency over one of the most defining moments in American history when he appeared to be playing a lot of dramatic games with his drinking buddies on the Hill. At the same time, Americans looked on in horror at the betrayal by our very wealthy and powerful civil servants, who completely refused to represent our concerns about the 2020 Presidential election.
If I had to guess, I would guess that Pence is slightly surprised that his betrayal of Trump has pushed him to the bottom of the garbage heap, while others clamor to get Trump’s support.
In the end, Pence may have betrayed himself the most, thinking he was going to be the King of the GOP. Instead, he finds himself all alone and writing nonsense columns that no one reads because the American people are not going to abandon Trump. No one even has to promise them a VP position in exchange for their support.
Trump’s support comes from a massive Populist movement in the United States driven by economic nationalism, and there is nothing to put that “genie back in the bottle” for the GOP.
Pence should have paid attention the last 4 years.
If Pence thinks he is just going to drop a column in the Daily Signal, the second column since 2011, and get back into the good graces of Americans, he is very wrong.
There is no way back for him.
After a ridiculous morning at the US Senate where senators voted to first extend their impeachment show by adding new charges against Donald J. Trump and demanding witnesses they then quickly reversed their decision showing a total lack of maturity, added a few more hours of drama, then Trump was acquitted for good.
What the Democrats were really going for was to prevent Trump from running for office again and that failed.
As Trump’s longtime senior advisor posted, he is “acquitted forever”.
Trump’s office released the following statement:
|I want to first thank my team of dedicated lawyers and others for their tireless work upholding justice and defending the truth. My deepest thanks as well to all of the United States Senators and Members of Congress who stood proudly for the Constitution we all revere and for the sacred legal principles at the heart of our country. Our cherished Constitutional Republic was founded on the impartial rule of law, the indispensable safeguard for our liberties, our rights, and our freedoms. It is a sad commentary on our times that one political party in America is given a free pass to denigrate the rule of law, defame law enforcement, cheer mobs, excuse rioters, and transform justice into a tool of political vengeance, and persecute, blacklist, cancel and suppress all people and viewpoints with whom or which they disagree. I always have, and always will be a champion for the unwavering rule of law, the heroes of law enforcement, and the right of Americans to peacefully and honorably debate the issues of the day without malice and without hate. This has been yet another phase of the greatest witch hunt in the history of our Country. No president has ever gone through anything like it, and it continues because our opponents cannot forget the almost 75 million people, the highest number ever for a sitting president, who voted for us just a few short months ago.I also want to convey my gratitude to the millions of decent, hardworking, law-abiding, God-and-Country loving citizens who have bravely supported these important principles in these very difficult and challenging times. Our historical, patriotic and beautiful movement to Make America Great Again has only just begun. In the months ahead, I have much to share with you, and I look forward to continuing our incredible journey together to achieve American greatness for all of our people. There has never been anything like it! We have so much work ahead of us, and soon we will emerge with a vision for a bright, radiant, and limitless American future. Together there is nothing we cannot accomplish. We remain, one People, one family, and one glorious nation under God, and it’s our responsibility to preserve this magnificent inheritance for our children and for generations of Americans to come. May God bless all of you, and may God forever bless the United States of America.|
Speculation about why the Democrat dream team changed their minds about bringing in new witnesses was due to God’s fear about potential witnesses for the Trump team.
Starting with a lot of Democrats:
Reaction to the day by Republicans was at times hilarious:
With Senator Ted Cruz filling the time with some funny commentary about questions he would like to ask:
In the end, the Democrats were unable to make the case that Trump did anything they had demanded he had done. The fear of the other witness, who would have humiliated their childish House Impeachment managers, was too much, and they voted to acquit.
There were some moments of unity when sane Senators reached out to the American public with some levity. In the end, the Democrats further degraded their service to the American people.
43 Senators voted to convict Trump and the American people who support Trump.
Buzzfeed, a far-left news organization, covered that part of the story in an interesting temper tantrum:
“Just seven Republican senators voted to convict Donald Trump, acknowledging that the former president incited a deadly mob to attack the Capitol and try to overturn an American election because he could not come to grips with his own loss.
Sens. Richard Burr, Bill Cassidy, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Mitt Romney, Ben Sasse, and Pat Toomey voted with Democrats to hold Trump responsible for the attack. His hours of inaction as his supporters breached the Capitol, coming dangerously close to members of Congress and the vice president as some of them chanted “Hang Mike Pence!”
Introducing Pence at the last moment is quite telling about who in the former administration was helping the left take down our President.
And now, we know who is most leftist in the Republican Party, and we expect to see some new primary challenges coming to America soon.
The Impeachment wasn’t a complete waste of time after all.
Republicans Angry Over Probation Sentence For Ex-FBI Lawyer Who Altered Email That Got Russia Collusion Investigation Started
Representative Devin Nunes (R-CA) and other Republicans are angry about a sentence of probation that carries no prison time for ex-FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith after he pleaded guilty to doctoring a CIA email during the FBI’s attempts at surveillance against former Trump campaign associate Carter Page. Page worked for the CIA, and that information was removed from the document. Had that information not been altered the whole Russia collusion hoax would have died right there. The millions of dollars spent on the collusion delusion hoax and putting the administration and the entire country through a Constitutional crisis would never have happened, but the court gave Clinesmith probation.
When he was Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Nunes brought to light a whole lot of problems with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) system that went on during the Trump-Russia investigation. Nunes said of the sentence, “Once again, we see a two-tiered system of justice where average Americans get investigated and imprisoned based on fake media narratives like ‘Russian collusion’ while government officials who perpetuated these abuses get off scot-free.” Of the reputation of the entire Justice Department in the aftermath of what the Obama DOJ did Nunes said, “The FBI, DOJ, and judicial system need to regain Americans’ trust, and this absurd sentencing won’t help.”
Judge James Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, an Obama appointee of course, also serves on the FISA court, and he shot down the Justice Department’s request for up to six months behind bars. The judge gave Clinesmith probation with 400 hours of community service within a year and there will be no fine. It was a slap on the wrist and now the American taxpayers are going to pay the millions it cost to do the hoax investigation.
Clinesmith not only worked on the nine-month-long FBI investigation into Russian collusion, which we now know was started by Hillary Clinton in an effort to get her illegal private email server off the front pages of the news, the fired and disgraced former FBI lawyer also worked on special counsel Robert Mueller’s team and he acknowledged to special counsel John Durham’s team that he falsified a document when fired and disgraced former FBI director James Comey’s FBI tried to renew a FISA warrant against Page, a volunteer campaign adviser to the Trump campaign.
Clinesmith edited a CIA email by removing information that showed Carter Page was working for the CIA, he was a good guy who was asked by the CIA to gather information on his business trips to Russia and he did every time they asked because he’s a patriot. Clinesmith removed that information to make it appear that Page was doing something nefarious. Page denied doing anything wrong since the beginning and he was never charged with a crime.
“Mr. Clinesmith lost his job, and his government service is what has given his life much of its meaning. He was also earning $150,000 a year — and who knows where the earnings go now. He may be disbarred or suspended from the practice of law … and may never be able to work in the national security field again,” Boasberg said when explaining his decision. “These are substantial penalties… What is more, he went from being an obscure career government lawyer to standing in the eye of a media hurricane. He has been threatened, vilified, and abused on a nationwide scale.”
The judge left out that Clinesmith did all of that to himself. It’s not like he was a victim here. He victimized an awful lot of people.
More Republicans lashed out when they heard of the weak sentence given out to Clinesmith.
“This sentence is absolutely despicable,” said Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).
Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) took to social media and tweeted, “Very rare that dept of “JUST US” wld recommend jail time 4 one of their own But they did 4 Clinesmith former FBI attorney who falsified paperwork 2spy on Trump campaign+prop up phony collusion probe+violate civil liberties of Carter Page Outrageous DC judge gave NO prison time”
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said, “This punishment trivializes what I believe to be a stunning breach of duty to the Court and to the American people”
Assistant US Attorney Anthony Scarpelli who works on the Durham team said to the court on Friday, “The defendant’s criminal conduct tarnished and undermined the integrity of the FISA program” adding “it has lasting effects on DOJ, the FBI, the FISC, the FISA process, and trust and confidence United States citizens have in their government.”
That trust is gone, and this sentence was like the final nail in the coffin. Democrats never cared what the American people think and feel about government so long as they are in charge.
Clinesmith had the audacity to label what he did as a shortcut that had no malicious intent.
”I am fully aware of the significance of my actions and the crucial error in judgment I made,” Clinesmith declared to the Obama judge just before his sentence was announced. “I let the FBI, the Department of Justice, my colleagues, the public, and my family down. I also let myself down. I will live with the consequences and deeply-held feeling of regret, shame, and loss caused by it for the rest of my life.” All things his lawyers prepped him to say. I allege he would have done it again if he wasn’t caught. I think there should be an investigation into all of the cases he worked on to see if he did “shortcuts” like this elsewhere during his career.
On Sunday, by a very slim vote, Nancy Pelosi was re-elected Speaker of the US House of Representatives as a new Congress took office during a time of uncertainty politically, with control of the US Senate as yet undecided and a Republican fight coming over presidential election results after evidence of massive voter fraud in the key battleground states where Democrats stole the election from President Donald Trump.
By only seven votes the House voted 216-209 to reinstate Pelosi as Speaker, this after Democrats lost eleven seats in the November elections, giving the Democrats an even smaller majority of 222-212. Only five Democrats voted against Pelosi for Speaker, two Democrats voted for members who weren’t even running, and three others voted “present.”
The Senate is still under Republican control while we head into two runoff elections in Georgia that will be held on Tuesday.
Multiple state legislatures held election fraud hearings where they heard multiple witnesses testify as to massive election fraud that they witnessed on Election Day and afterward as they worked in vote counting centers. The Trump legal team has obtained over 1,000 signed affidavits, under penalty of perjury, where the whistleblowers described the different types of fraud they witnessed. Some tried to stop it, and others who served as Republican observers said they were forced out of vote counting centers so that they couldn’t observe. Some of the whistleblowers reported that they saw Democrat operatives running the same batches of ballots through the counting machines multiple times, all for Joe Biden. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
And yet we still have liars in Fake News outlets like CNN, MSNBC, Reuters, the New York Times, the Washington Post and others who continue to report that there has been no evidence found of election fraud to match the claims that President Trump has made. They are either deaf and blind, or just plain stupid, because the rest of the world knows they’re reporting lies.
On Wednesday this week the Congress is set to certify the election, but there are Republican members of Congress who are going to object to certification for the battleground states where all the evidence was collected showing massive election fraud. I wonder if the liars will continue to report there’s no evidence after the Republicans present it all? They probably will.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has pushed for an emergency 10-day audit of election results in the battleground states. His efforts drew criticism from Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) who may be going back to his old ways now that he thinks Trump will not be president for long.
“It appears to be more of a political dodge than an effective remedy,” Graham said in a statement. “I will listen closely. But they have a high bar to clear.”
Does the senator from South Carolina think evidence of massive amounts of voter fraud is high enough? Graham has had to have been paying attention over the last two months as the Trump legal team has gathered and displayed their evidence.
If the Democrats win both Georgia Senate runoff elections it could be the end of our republic as we know it. With the things the Democrats have promised they will do if they take control of the House, Senate and the White House would really end the great American experiment. We would become a full blown socialist country within the first year. We would go bankrupt and our economy would collapse. What happened to Venezuela would happen here. That’s how high the stakes are.
Even if the Republicans keep control of the Senate, the narrow majorities in both houses of Congress would be a delight for the so-called moderates of both parties. Cowards that moderates usually are would take advantage of the situation by commanding that they get their way or they don’t vote with their party. I could see Mitt Romney pulling a stunt like that as he is one of the biggest rhinos who cares more about his own self image then the United States while giving us platitudes about our constitution and our country.
“From political division to a deadly pandemic to adversaries around the world, the hurdles before us are many and they are serious,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said from the well of the Senate floor.
“But there is also plenty of reason for hope,” McConnell added, noting the ongoing rollout of the COVID vaccine. “I’d say 2021 looks bright already.” Not if we lose the Senate.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, the chamber’s # 2 Democrat, also said in a statement that he hoped the new Congress would “turn the page” on partisan division “and begin a new chapter of cooperation among Democrats and Republicans.”
Who does Hoyer think he’s kidding? The Democrats are the ones created the partisan division. They accused President Trump of being a Russian spy from the day he took office. They knew it was a lie, but they continued to push it for over two years. The House Democrats then impeached an innocent president for something that Joe Biden actually did. No, Congressman Hoyer, there will not be a turning of the page. Democrats behaved in the most disgusting ways we have ever seen in modern times.
Even if a single one of the two Republicans running in the Georgia runoff election wins, the GOP can stave off the slaughter of our republic that Democrats have been promising. They can stop a lot of the House’s agenda and the nutty policies Joe Biden has been talking about.
But I’m getting ahead of myself, as the president has not yet given up his fight to overturn the election results, because he won the election by a landslide and the Democrats stole it from him.
Senator Ted Cruz (TX), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has re-introduced a bill to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, which would make it a crime to provide material support to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) & other Brotherhood fronts.
“I am proud to reintroduce this bill and to advance America’s fight against radical Islamic terrorism,” said Cruz in a statement released by his office. “I commend the current administration’s work calling terrorism by its name and combating the spread of this potent threat, and I look forward to receiving the additional information this new bill requests from the Department of State.”
The bill is co-sponsored by Sens. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and Pat Roberts (R-Kan.).
“Many of our closest allies in the Arab world have long ago concluded that the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist group that seeks to sow chaos across the Middle East, and I will continue working with my colleagues to take action against groups that finance terrorism.
In the same statement, Inhofe said, “since the founding of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Brotherhood-affiliated groups have consistently preached and incited hatred against Christians, Jews, and other Muslims while supporting designated radical terrorists,” the statement read.
Sen. Inhofe added:
“Since the founding of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Brotherhood-affiliated groups have consistently preached and incited hatred against Christians, Jews, and other Muslims while supporting designated radical terrorists. I am proud that under the Trump administration we continue to call out and combat radical terrorism, and I am glad to join my colleagues today in reintroducing this legislation. We must continue to condemn Foreign Terrorist Organizations and hold them accountable for the evil they perpetrate.”
The full text of Sen. Cruz’s bill may be viewed here. Sen. Cruz has long called to designate the Muslim Brotherhood, among other organizations promoting terrorism, as FTOs. Sen. Cruz first introduced the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act in 2015 and previously reintroduced the bill in 2017.
The Trump administration has reportedly considered designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group but has received pushback from Pentagon and other officials.
Robert Spencer wrote for PJ Media about the Bill:
“Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has reintroduced the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act, explaining that he believes it will “advance America’s fight against radical Islamic terrorism.” Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Oklahoma), one of the bill’s cosponsors, notes that “since the founding of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Brotherhood-affiliated groups have consistently preached and incited hatred against Christians, Jews, and other Muslims while supporting designated radical terrorists.” That is true, and they have done it while having the ear of some of the top officials in the U.S. intelligence and law enforcement apparatus, and that’s why this bill is so needed.
The passage of S. 2230, the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act, is not just an option. It’s a necessity – to bring sanity back to U.S. foreign and domestic policy.”
In 2018, Cruz blasted the Obama administration for running interference for radical Islam, pointing out that the “Muslim Brotherhood does not hide that they are a terrorist organization.”
According to some researchers, the Muslim Brotherhood umbrella includes 73 legal and taxpayer-supported organizations who fight against American civil liberties.
YES! Fight for this BILL!— Amy Mek (@AmyMek) December 10, 2020

During her Senate confirmation hearings this week, Supreme Court Justice nominee Amy Coney Barrett was given a chance to respond to accusations against her that her adoption of two Haitian children was in any way unethical.
Senator John Kennedy (R – LA) used some of his time on Tuesday to give Barrett a chance to respond to allegations within leftist popular culture that she may be a “white colonizer” for adopting black children.
“Some butthead professor at Boston University,” began Kennedy, “says that because you and your husband have two children of color that you’re a white colonist. The implication is that you’re a racist, and that you use your two children as props. Do you use your children as props?”
Kennedy was referring to comments made by Ibram X. Kendi, famed author of the controversial New York Times bestseller How to Be an Antiracist. Kendi posted to Twitter on September 26th – the same day that President Trump announced his nomination of Justice Barrett – that the adoption of black children by “white colonizers” is often a tactic to deny any accusations of racism.
“Senator Kennedy,” Barrett responded, “it was the risk of people saying things like that which would be so hurtful to my family that when I told Senator Graham this morning that my husband and I had to really weigh the cost of this, it was saying deeply offensive and hurtful things – things that are not only hurtful to me but hurtful to my children, who are my children, who we love, and who we brought home and made part of our family – and accusations like that are cruel.”
Kendi hasn’t been alone in raising such personal (and arguably offensive) objections to Justice Barrett’s family life. John Lee Brougher of Next Gen America and Democratic activist Dana Houle both cried foul in tweets that have since been deleted.
Amy Coney Barrett and her husband, Jesse, have seven children – five biological, and two adopted from Haiti.
Senator Ted Cruz (R – TX) gave Barrett a chance to speak more about her family’s decision to adopt, calling it a “remarkable” decision that he admires.
Barrett told Cruz that she and her husband encountered couples while they were engaged that had decided to adopt, and made the decision during their engagement that they would one day do the same. “…after we had our first daughter, Emma, we thought well, why wait? So I was expecting Tess when we went and got Vivian.”
They affectionately call Tess and Vivian, so close in age, fraternal twins.
Several years later, they adopted John Peter.
“It really has enriched our family immeasurably,” Barrett said.
