Mayor Lori Lightfoot got very angry when a reporter dared asked her if failing to prosecute any of the 200 rioters who were previously arrested.
I find that to be a great question.
People will commit crimes if there are no consequences for their actions. But the mayor blew up at the reporter over the question.
During the presser, Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown suggested that the looters were not expecting any consequences because the Jussie Smollett non-prosecutor Kim Foxx has already dropped charges against over 200 rioters.
That caused the reporter to ask if the lack of consequences that led to the looting.
“It almost sounds as though you were saying … the reason we have this is the courts and the prosecutors were not doing their job, that they were going too easy on the looters from the last time around. Is that my understanding?”
“Don’t take it from me. Just go about what’s been done. I don’t want to do your job for you but go about what’s been done. There were no consequences for the people arrested.”
That elicited a response by failed Mayor Lori Lightfoot:
“Let’s be clear. Don’t bait us! OK? Do not bait us. Do not bait us. This is a serious situation. People are concerned about their safety. Officers are concerned about their safety. So don’t bait us. What we’re saying is, as a result of what happened last night, there have to be consequences. We’ve got teams of people that are aggressively out there identifying the people responsible, looking at the plates, and working on bringing them to justice.”
“But when we do, and we do make those arrests, our expectation is that is going to be treated with the level of seriousness that it should be, period. Don’t try to bait us, mischaracterize, pit one against the other. We’re not playing that. We’re in a serious situation here, and we need a serious response. That’s what we’re saying, period.”
Embattled Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax compared himself to Jim Crow-era lynching victims in a surprise speech Sunday
Before the Senate Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax said what is happening to him is a modern day lynching. So what was it when it was happening to Kavanaugh??
It is no coincidence that both Jussie Smollett and Fairfax are coming out as victims of a modern-day lynching. Just last week the Senate passed a bill, created by Kamala Harris, that makes lynching a federal crime. The last documented lynching was in 1981. So why a bill for that? What is it’s the purpose? Maybe to support the idea that blacks are still victims?
This is how the Democrats work. A white man is accused of sexual harassment from his high school days by a woman who has zero proof. Hearings and investigations prove his innocence. And yet, he is still guilty because a woman said so. A black man gets allegations against him and he is the victim of a modern day lynching. A victim of injustice.
Due process is to make sure that everyone gets fair treatment through the judicial system. It’s something that all Americans should want to protect.

CHICAGO (AP) — “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett staged a racist and homophobic attack because he was unhappy about his salary and wanted to promote his career, Chicago’s police superintendent said Thursday. Before the attack,…
It is outrageous that an actor would stage a hate crime in order to boost his career. It has been reported that Smollett earned around $20,000 per episode, while co-stars Terrance Howard and Taraji P. Henson were getting paid around $175,000 per episode. And his net worth is $500,000. He should consider that he isn’t the reason people started watching Empire. He is a fairly new actor compared to his co-stars Terrance Howard and Taraji P. Henson. So was greed really the inspiration of this attack or Smollett’s hate for President Trump and his supporters?

An Oregon politician admitted that he wrote himself a racist letter after claiming he received the threats anonymously. Jonathan Lopez, who was a Umatilla County commissioner candidate claimed on social media that he had received a threatening letter from an unknown source.
As it turns out the source was anything but unknown.
It turns out that he sent the letter to himself, a fact that he confirmed to police both verbally and in writing.
If racism is even half as prevalent as Democrats say it is, why are they constantly having to fake these episodes?
A criminal investigation for second-degree intimidation was initiated and then closed in short order after Lopez admitted that he had perpetrated a hoax.
These hoaxes will continue to multiply until police and DAs prosecute these cases vigorously. Right now, there is no downside to getting caught in a hoax.
Chief Jason Edmiston said:
“The time spent on this fictitious claim means time lost on other matters, not to mention it needlessly adds to the incredible tension that exists in our nation today. As a lifelong resident of this diverse community, I’m disgusted someone would try to carelessly advance their personal ambitions at the risk of others.”
From The Daily Caller
“Don’t waste your time trying to become anything in this county we will make sure you never win and your family suffers along with all the other fucking Mexicans in the area!” part of the letter Lopez claimed was sent to him read, according to KEPR-TV. “Sincerely, America!”
The case has since moved to the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office for filing a false report. Hermiston Police are also sending the attorney’s office information regarding possible election fraud, according to KEPR-TV.
“I never meant to file a report, it just kind of spiraled out,” Lopez first said according to the East Oregonian.
