Newly Promoted Adjutant General of the Oklahoma National Guard Does an About Face On Biden Administration’s COVID Vaccine Mandate

Adjutant General Thomas Mancino, the new leader of the Oklahoma National Guard, is standing up to the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for military personnel.

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt (R) last week suddenly announced Mancino’s promotion from assistant adjunct general to the top National Guard post.

Though Michael Thompson, the now former adjunct general Oklahoma National Guard, said he learned he was relieved of duty through Twitter, the governor’s office said that Stitt informed Thompson personally.

Mancino’s promotion came after the governor wrote to the woke Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin asking him to exempt Oklahoma National Guardsmen from the DOD vaccine mandate, according to KOKH-TV.

Thompson openly supported the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, according to the Oklahoman. Stitt’s office denies that Thompson was replaced because he was pro vaccine mandate [I’d get rid of him over that] and noted that the move had been planned since October.

Mancino, in one of his first acted as the leader of the Oklahoma National Guard, said his Guardsmen would not be mandated to get the COVID-19 jab. Well, good for him. A man who understands humanity and people’s right to control the sovereignty of their own body.

“This policy is not anti-vaccine. I and the Governor are both vaccinated. I encourage all our Oklahoma Guard Members to get vaccinated if they choose to do so,” Mancino said. “We want to educate and inform our soldiers and airmen so that they can make an informed decision regarding the DOD Vaccine Mandate.”

And that’s how government should have done it from the start. They should try to convince people to get the vaccine rather than extort them into it. When you tell employees that they either have to get vaccinated or they lose their job, that’s a form of extortion.

The new Adjutant General pointed to Title 32 of the US Legal code to back up his position. Under federal law, even though National Guard units are federal funded, they are state controlled. That means so long as the Guard units are not activated by the president under Title 10, they follow the orders from the state’s chain of command, the top of that chain Governor Stitt.

“If you [Oklahoma Guard Members] are not mobilized on Title 10 orders, the only entity that can give you a ‘lawful’ order — that is an order backed by the authority of law — is the Governor and his designated State chain of command. That law is Title 32 US code,” Mancino said. “This is easily seen by the fact that the UCMJ does not apply to you in Title 32 status. Instead, you are governed by the Oklahoma Code of Military Justice.”

The governor recently noted that about 10 percent of the Oklahoma National Guard are not vaccinated against COVID-19. I think Joe Biden will have to be satisfied with a 90 percent vaccination rate.

John Kirby, the Pentagon’s spokesman, while giving no further details, said that the federal government will respond “appropriately.” But then again, he lied his rear end off during the Afghanistan withdrawal fiasco so no one should ever take him seriously.

“We are aware of the memo issued by the Oklahoma Adjutant General regarding COVID vaccination for Guardsmen and the governor’s letter requesting exemption. We will respond to the governor appropriately,” Kirby told CNN in a statement. Yeah, good luck with that.

“That said, Secretary Austin believes that a vaccinated force is a more ready force,” he added. “That is why he has ordered mandatory vaccines for the total force, and that includes our National Guard, who contribute significantly to national missions at home and abroad.”

I don’t think people will take military leadership seriously about a “more ready force” when the same people did commercials of transgenders in the military and female soldiers bragging that they grew up with two moms, or leaving over 14,000 Americans behind enemy lines in Afghanistan after lying about it saying there were only about a hundred or so. Leaving one American behind is a disgrace, but 14,000?

Hopefully, the US Supreme Court will side with the 5th Circuit and rule that the Biden vaccine mandate is unconstitutional and be done with it.
