New DA Indicts Two Austin Police Officers for a Closed 2019 Case. Mass Officer Exodus May Follow

A Soros financed District Attorney is now investigating two officers from a 2019 shooting. They already went through an investigation and were cleared of all charges.

This is a pattern with DAs who gain office thanks to Soros’ millions financing their campaign. Let criminals go free and persecute and prosecute the police. It takes police off the streets and causes other officers to retire or at least quit their jobs. It’s a way to get rid of the police without defunding them.

In Austin, Texas they have already been defunded and the number of violent crimes is rising faster than the price of wheatgrass. They were forced to get rid of officers after the city council and the Democratic mayor drastically reduced funding.

The police had to do away with cadet training and with more and more officers retiring or quitting to go elsewhere to ply their trade, it has created a severe shortage of police officers.

In August of last year, the all-Democratic city council and their ultra liberal mayor cut $150 million from the police budget of $434 million dollar police budget. That’s over 1/3.  Is it any wonder that crime is on the rise? And without cadet training, Austin could not increase their police force even if they had the money to pay them.

Travis County’s new district attorney, Jose Garza, a Soros endorsed DA announced he was reopening the case against Gregory Gentry and Chance Bretches, for an incident that occurred in March 2019 — nearly two years ago.

From Law Enforcement Today

“When this use of force happened back in March of 2019, it was investigated by our own Special Investigation Unit (SIU) and the findings were presented to the Chief. The then District Attorney Margaret Moore was even briefed on the case.”

“The chain of command reviewed the response to resistance like normal and even 6 commanders and an attorney from City Legal on the Force Review Board looked at the case form a tactics/training/equipment standpoint.”

“Chief Manley signed off on the use of force as objectively reasonable as did the chain of command and the investigation was closed. This case was not forwarded to the DA’s office for review because it was clear that through the thorough review, the force used was objectively reasonable.”
