Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions has lost the primary election for his old Alabama Senate seat.
The Trump-embattled Sessions provided a classy response to his GOP opponent Tommy Tuberville who received President Trump’s endorsement last March.
We fought a good fight and the people of Alabama have spoken. So many people have helped me in this campaign and over the years, they love this state and I love them.

Now more than ever, we need to stand up for the Rule of Law, our Constitution, and our great and glorious country.
We must not cede our nation to the mob or globalist forces. We have borders, laws, and history that must be defended.

An early Trump supporter, Sessions enthusiastically left Alabama to take the helm of the Justice Department in early 2017.
At the beginning of the Russia probe, Session recused himself from participating in the investigation due to his involvement with the Trump campaign prior to his appointment with the DOJ. According to Sessions, the DOJ prohibits staff from participating in investigations which they were involved with since this could develop a conflict of interest.
Tommy Tuberville, former famed college-football coach, will advance to the general election for the State of Alabama this November. He identifies as a Christian conservative and is a huge proponent of the pro-life movement. On his campaign website, he describes abortion as this generation’s holocaust.
“A Christian conservative, I will always stand up for those who can’t do so on their own.
I will fight to protect the sanctity of every human life because future generations may very well look back at the current wave of infanticide sweeping across our nation as this generation’s holocaust.”
While he doesn’t go into much detail about his position on gun rights, his website does describe him as pro-gun:
“While we are fighting out-of-touch liberals to protect life and liberty, we must also stand up for the time-honored traditions we hold dear in Alabama.
Being a sportsman has always been a part of my life. That is why I will always vote to protect and preserve our Second Amendment rights.”
