Ethics Professor Was Placed On Leave After Making An Emotional Video of a Lesson on the Ethics of COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates [VIDEO]

After 20 years of service, a Canadian professor of ethics gave what could possibly be her very last lesson at the university where she works. The lesson in question was over vaccine mandates. Universities throughout the world are mandating COVID-19 vaccinations and this professor believes that it is unethical.

A five-year-old can tell you that a vaccine mandate is unethical, but there are many more five-year-olds who have more empathy and common sense than university administrators.

Dr. Julie Ponesse has taught ethics at Ontario’s Huron University College for two decades. The school is affiliated with Western University.

In a video that has gone viral, Dr. Ponesse, who holds a Ph.D. in ethics, delivered an emotional message about vaccine mandates.

“Today, I’m going to teach you a brief lesson on a universally accepted ethics of coercing people into medical procedures,” Ponesse said in a video she recorded. “I’ll be the example.”

“My employer has just mandated that I must get a vaccine for COVID-19,” the professor said. “If I want to keep working at my job as a professor, I have to take this vaccine.”

“Here’s my conundrum. My school employs me to be an authority on the subject of ethics. I hold a Ph.D. in ethics and ancient philosophy and I’m here to tell you, it’s ethically wrong to coerce someone to take a vaccine,” she said. “If it happens to you, you don’t have to do it. If you don’t want a COVID vaccine, don’t take one. End of discussion. It’s your own business.”

Bravo for this professor! She continued.

“But that’s not the approach of the University of Western Ontario, which has suddenly required that I be vaccinated immediately, or not report for work,” she said.

“I am facing imminent dismissal after 20 years on the job,” Ponesse said and all because she does not want to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The professor spelled out that she’s not an anti-vaxxer, admitting that she’s had “plenty of vaccines in my life.”

Most people who have hesitancy over getting the COVID-19 vaccine are not anti-vaxxers. Just about everyone alive today has gotten vaccines in their lifetime. Vaccines are taught in school science and history classes. It is instinctive in us to know that vaccines are a wonderful modern-day miracle that saves lives. It is this vaccine that unvaccinated people don’t trust, and that’s because of several reasons. For one thing, the way governments around the world keep changing their policy to fit a leftist narrative. And then there are the reports of people dying from getting the vaccine and others who are coming down with illnesses due to the COVID-19 vaccines, some of them permanent disabilities. So it is highly unethical to force people to get vaccinated when that kind of information is readily available.

For me, it was the moment I heard politicians from multiple countries start talking about using the COVID-19 pandemic to pull off what they termed “The Great Reset” which means they wanted to use fear of the virus to enforce draconian measures that remove freedoms from the people in order to create an obedient society that would allow socialist policies to rise from the ashes of the economies they would destroy just to get there.

Ponesse pointed out that she doesn’t work in a “high-risk environment.”

“I’m a teacher. I’m a university professor. My job is to teach how to think critically; to ask questions that might expose a false argument,” she noted.

The professor questioned the effectiveness of the vaccines, “Nobody is promising that I won’t get COVID, or transmit COVID if I get the vaccine.”

“I’m entitled to make choices about what does and what does not enter my body regardless of my reasons,” she said. In other words, my body, my choice!

“This is my first and potentially my last lesson of the year,” Ponesse said, her voice cracking from getting emotional. “In the spirit of Socrates, who was executed for asking questions, this lesson will consist of only one question.”

The professor asked her students, “When a person has done the same job to the satisfaction of her employer for 20 years, is it right, or is it wrong to suddenly demand that they submit to an unnecessary medical procedure in order to keep their job?”

BAM!

“The employee is not allowed to ask questions,” the professor said. “She may only submit to the procedure or be fired. To my first-year students, is this right or is this wrong?”

Again, a five-year-old knows it’s wrong. For me, that is the most infuriating thing. The leftists in charge of governments and universities are supposed to be the brightest among us. They are the elite of the elite, so they tell us, and yet they expect us to believe that they don’t realize what they’re doing with respect to enforcing vaccine mandates is wrong? I call bullschtein!

This learned professor, a woman of obvious dignity, was reduced to tears by the end of the video when she broke down and put her face in her hands. When I first saw it, I wanted to give her a big old hug and if you watch it and you don’t feel the same way, there’s something wrong with you.

The professor was castigated for referring to the vaccines as “experimental” and because she questioned the effectiveness of the COVID-19 jabs. But isn’t that what an ethics professor does, asks questions?

On Tuesday, Ponesse emailed her department head to inform him that she would not get the COVID-19 vaccine, wear a face mask while teaching, or submit to testing for COVID.

“It was within, I think, half an hour of sending that email that I received an email from my dean stating that I would be dismissed and put on temporary paid leave,” Ponesse told the National Post.

The response email straight out of 1984 notified the professor she would “be placed on a temporary paid leave and you will not be allowed to attend campus.”

Folks, let’s get one thing straight. This professor is the sane one in this story and everyone else enforcing the vaccination mandate is nuts.

The university required mandatory vaccination to be on campus, outside of people who got an exemption, but even those people have to take a COVID test twice a week.

Ponesse spelled out that she isn’t requesting an exemption.

“I want to be very clear in rejecting it in principle, I don’t think we ever should have been in the place where we’re looking at the situation of mandates, so I’m not just seeking an exemption to one, I’m challenging the very foundation of the idea.”

More people must take a stand like Julie Ponesse, who knows the Emperor has no clothes and has the strength and the will to say it and accept the evil consequences of doing so. I wish her all the best and thank her for her bravery and her ethics.
