Erick Erickson, formerly of RedState.com, and talk radio host, blasted Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams as being a phony, saying that she’s really “not the candidate the media says she is” after the Georgia primary on Tuesday revealed that Abrams will face off against Governor Brian Kemp in the November governor’s race.
Erickson said on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” that Abrams has “never been a great candidate” despite the media hype.
“She’s actually never been a great candidate. She only won a State House seat that wasn’t largely contested. She’s never gotten beyond that despite the national media hype. She didn’t win in 2018. In fact, she didn’t come close to winning. What she came close to is a runoff where she would have lost. Even though the media says she came close to winning, that’s not really true. She always puts her foot in her mouth. In 2018, two weeks before the election, she insulted the ag[riculture] community in South Georgia after a hurricane. Just this past weekend, she said Georgia’s the worst place to live. She’s not the candidate the media says she is. She’s believed her own press and the press believes it too”
Abrams famously refused to concede the 2018 gubernatorial race where she lost to Kemp, running around the country crying about racial voter suppression taking place, even though there wasn’t any evidence. Some believe Abrams’ constant whining is what prompted Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to illegally enter into a consent decree that wound up changing election laws for the 2020 election when he didn’t have the power to do so.
It was recently revealed that in the 2020 presidential election, one of the stash houses handling the mules who were illegal ballot harvesters highlighted in Dinesh D’Souza’s documentary film 2000 Mules was Stacey Abrams’ headquarters.
Abrams makes a lot of noise in the face of evidence showing the contrary of her complaints. How she is allowed to run for governor is a crime in itself if the stash house story is true and it appears to be.
Even with Georgia’s new election integrity laws, Democrats will try to find new ways to cheat, so the Georgia GOP had better have a handle on it or we could be saying Governor Stacey Abrams, and nobody wants to hear that.
