One of the top legendary guitarists in the world, Eric Clapton, says he will not perform at venues that require proof of COVID-19 vaccines.
Hell yeah, and I hope it starts a trend!
The 76-year-old blues rock icon guitarist and singer stated that he reserves the “right to cancel the show” after British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced an order on large indoor gatherings, such as concert venues. Johnson’s new mandate orders that nightclubs and concert venues must obtain proof that customers have gotten vaccinated. So the government is making venue owners agents of the government now? Are they being compensated for their efforts?
“Following the PM’s announcement on Monday the 19th of July 2021 I feel honor-bound to make an announcement of my own,” Clapton wrote in response to Johnson’s new order via Telegram. “I wish to say that I will not perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present. Unless there is provision made for all people to attend, I reserve the right to cancel the show.”
Sometimes it takes a superstar like Clapton to break through the fog of bad government policy and get the truth out there. Lockdowns do not work and many doctors believe they contribute to the spread of the virus. Hopefully, his clout will get other performers to come out against lockdowns as well.
Rolling Stone reported that Clapton’s message included a link to his anti lockdown song called, “Stand and Deliver” that he recorded in collaboration with Van Morrison.

Make no mistake, Clapton is against people’s freedoms being taken away from them especially for a virus with a 99 percent success rate. Just read some of the lyrics:

At another point in the song he reminds us all of the principles we believe in and how they’re being trashed:

Back in May, Clapton talked about a “disastrous” experience he had taking the Astra-Zeneca coronavirus vaccine.
“I took the first jab of AZ and straight away had severe reactions which lasted ten days. I recovered eventually and was told it would be twelve weeks before the second one…,” Clapton wrote.
“About six weeks later I was offered and took the second AZ shot, but with a little more knowledge of the dangers. Needless to say the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again, (I suffer with peripheral neuropathy and should never have gone near the needle.) But the propaganda said the vaccine was safe for everyone…”
That last sentence is what a lot of people around the world believe, that the information we are being given about the vaccines is propaganda, claiming it’s safe for everyone. Tell that to the over 6,000 Americans who have died as a direct result of getting a COVID vaccine, according the CDC’s own VAERS system data.
“I continue to tread the path of passive rebellion and try to tow [sic] the line in order to be able to actively love my family, but it’s hard to bite my tongue with what I now know,” the blues rock legend added.
Let’s hope other artists grow a pair and come out against the tyranny of lockdowns that don’t work too.
