Elon Musk, Other Top Figures Praise Netflix For Cracking Down On Woke Employees

Many people are praising Netflix for dropping the hammer on woke employees. Other companies will eventually follow suit. Netflix basically told their employees that they will decide the content for the site and if they don’t like it, they should quit. Much of this is over the grief that employees caused by walking out over a Dave Chappelle special that they claim were transphobic.

But, more importantly, they lost a lot of viewers because of all the woke content and their stock took a tremendous hit. They made the shift in order to survive and others will too. Netflix told their employees that they will not ban an artist, even if the content is considered dangerous.

“If you’d find it hard to support our content breadth, Netflix may not be the best place for you.”

Netflix tried to make it clear that they will not bend to pressure. I hope that means every other program is not about gays or transgender people. It’s not that I hate either group, I just don’t need it thrown in my face every day. It’s just like your parents. You know they have sex, but you don’t want to hear about it every day. If gays and Transgenders are happy, that’s great. I’m happy for them, but please spare me the details.

Musk responded to the news on Sunday, writing on Twitter: “Good move by @netflix.”

Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy said:

“The currents are changing. Netflix says it stands for artistic expression and that employees who don’t want to work on content they find offensive can work somewhere else. And they reportedly fired the employee who led the trans ‘walkout protest’ earlier this year.”

Robert J. O’Neill, the U.S. Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden, wrote:

“Turns out the blue-haired screamers are wrong and capitalism is right.”

Other notable responses are:

  • Christopher F. Rufo, writer: “We should call this ‘The Disney Effect.’”
  • Rita Panahi, political commentator: “DeSantis standing up to Disney (& the media’s) lies about Florida’s parental rights bill is having all sorts of positive consequences.”
  • Piers Morgan, political commentator: “Finally… better late than never @netflix.”
  • David Sacks, venture capitalist: “Netflix gets real.”
  • Ayaan Hirsi Ali, human rights activist: “Common sense is coming back at Netflix.”
  • Nick V. Flor, professor: “Go Woke, Go Broke.”
