On Wednesday, American podcast host, UFC color commentator, comedian, and former television presenter, Joe Rogan, recently asked CNN’s chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta to comment on National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Dr. Anthony Fauci’s probable connections to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Gupta sat down on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast show to answer Rogan’s questions about gain of function research, which the National Institute of Health (NIH) defines as “a type of research that modifies a biological agent so that it confers new or enhanced activity to that agent.”
Gupta said we may never know the truth about the origin COVID-19 or if it leaked accidentally from the Wuhan lab. That’s when Rogan asked him about Fauci’s NIH giving grant money to EcoHealth Alliance, which acted as a degree of separation when they then gave that money to the Wuhan lab.

The Wuhan lab received $600,000 US taxpayer dollars from EcoHealth Alliance between 2014 and 2019 to study bat coronaviruses. The money for the grant came from the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), a sub-agency for the National Institutes of Health that is led by White House senior medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci.
EcoHealth Alliance did not have to go through the review board of the Department of Health and Human Services where the grant might have been rejected. The reason it wasn’t subjected to review is that the sub-agency that awarded grants never told the review board. Is that a crime?
“They applied for a grant to specifically do — to insert a furin cleavage site — which is that particular part of the virus that raised so much concern,” Gupta said about EcoHealth, adding, “I don’t know sometimes what to do with this. It’s highly suspicious.”
Rogan pointed out that Fauci was questioned about the NIH’s connections to the Wuhan Institute’s gain of function research on the coronavirus, saying, “But if the NIH was giving funding to EcoHealth Alliance and EcoHealth Alliance was funding that kind of research, and then Fauci is not being honest about that.”
That’s the whole reason why Fauci used EchoHealth as a degree of separation. He has already said that there is no way for him to know if the money he granted to EchoHealth (by going around the grant review process) was used for gain of function research. That’s like saying federal grants to the Politically Correct Death Factory Planned Parenthood weren’t violating the Hyde Amendment because they used the money on the other side of the company that pretty much outsourced women’s health and not the abortion side. The money went to the same company, but they expect us to believe it didn’t help support abortions in some way. That’s like having a peeing section in a swimming pool.
“I think the NIH is clearly funding EcoHealth Alliance and EcoHealth Alliance is clearly giving grants to Wuhan Institute of Virology,” Gupta answered, affirming he feels there is a direct connection between the three institutions. How come he won’t say that on CNN?
Gupta went on to make the point that there are more than one way you can view gain of function research (this is the out Fauci and others have been trying to gaslight America with) where one form of it is manipulating a novel coronavirus to get it to attack humans while another way would be to splice an known bad virus with another known bad virus to create something even worse.
“You gotta know, for gain of function research, you know it’s going to lead to gain of function.” That sounds like a response someone would give to protect themselves from liability. “I didn’t know it would infect humans.” Nonsense.

Reports are starting to come out that the Wuhan lab has allegedly been working with the Nipah virus, which kills anywhere from 40 to 80% of humans who get it. Imagine if the Wuhan lab were doing gain of function research on Nipah to make even more deadly, more transmissible, or both?
Don’t expect President Houseplant Biden to do anything to stop China from doing more gain of function research any time soon.
