The Obama-Biden administration back in 2015 approved the sale of a strategically sensitive manufacturer in Michigan, a company called Henniges Automotive, to a company linked to Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, along with a Chinese military contractor on an American watch list over its close ties to the People’s Liberation Army. That would be the communist Chinese army for you liberals.
Hunter Biden’s equity fund, which was backed by both the communist Chinese government, and Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC), the Chinese contractor, wanted special approval for the deal from the Committee of Foreign Investment in the United States (CIFIUS) (the same Obama-created board that approved the Uranium One sale to the Russians who then took ownership of 20 percent of US uranium) because Henniges produced technology with potential military use. So, Hunter Biden allegedly helped the communist Chinese government to buy a manufacturing company that could help them militarily.
AVIC entities have been sanctioned by the US 5 separate times since 1993 and the addition to the watch list, a major red flag, happened less than a year-and-a-half before they co-purchased Henniges with Hunter Biden’s BHR. It’s like all built-in government fail safes were ignored by the Obama-Biden administration.
The fact that CFIUS approved the deal is alarming provided that Henniges owns numerous plants in the US that are now controlled by a Chinese military front company. Thanks in part to the Biden crime family.
Internal BHR documents reveal exactly how the Chinese military contractor was able to disguise its ownership through shell corporations and created a joint-venture with the son of the former vice president to expedite the Chinese takeover of an American dual-use technology manufacturer. Other documents suggest that Hunter Biden’s Chinese-backed venture siphoned money to an entity controlled by the daughter of then-Secretary of State John Kerry, Vanessa Kerry, a month before the CFIUS board approved the takeover. During that time, Secretary of State John Kerry played a leading role on the Obama-Biden CFIUS committee, just as Hillary Clinton did when she was secretary of state and convinced the other CFIUS board members to approve the sale of Uranium One.
Do you see how incestuous the Democrats under Obama were?
When the news broke of the AVIC takeover of Michigan-based manufacturer Henniges Automotive, Biden’s associates cheered and celebrated, labeling the transaction a “proof of concept” for future Chinese acquisitions. Holy cow. Devon Archer sent out an email on September 15, 2015 with the Subject line reading: “Congratulations!!!! Proof of concept again.” In the email it said, “This is great. Let’s get a letter out to Ambassador Baucus ASAP Archie (an apparent Archer nickname),” Bevan Cooney replied. Cooney’s a former Biden associate who is now sitting in prison on another charge that involved Biden’s business partners. He must be looking at Hunter and Archer and thinking he got the shaft out of the group, because he’s in prison and they’re not.
It turns out that “Archie” is Devon Archer. Cooney gave New York Times bestselling author and investigative journalist Peter Schweizer and investigative journalist Matthew Tyrmand open access to his emails with written authorization.
Not long after the deal closed, Archer began drafting a letter to US Ambassador to China Max Baucus (who happened to be a longtime friend of the Biden crime family). Archer’s letter was an invitation to Ambassador Baucus to attend a banquet celebration for the deal with esteemed guest including BHR’s communist state-owned “strategic partners” and investors.
“I am writing to invite you to a cross-border banquet to celebrate our acquisition of Henniges Automotive. We consummated the transaction earlier this month, in conjunction with our strategic partner, AVIC, for $600 million. I have also attached a news article about the transaction.
This milestone marks our first U.S.-based acquisition. Our strategic partners, including AVIC and Sinopec, will be in attendance, as will our investors, including the Bank of China and China Development Bank. We hope to discuss the opportunities and challenges of cross-border investments for Chinese companies in today’s macro environment. A member of our team has also extended an invitation to your economics advisor – Jonathan Fritz – to speak at the seminar.”
The strategic partners and investors that Archer listed, notably Sinopec, the Bank of China, and the China Development Bank, are all state-owned entities and subsequently arms of the Chinese Communist Party whose executives/officials, together with BHR, clearly wanted to rejoice the Henniges coup.
Hunter Biden’s Chinese business partners were happy. One internal BHR document reads in both English and Mandarin Chinese: “We are incredibly proud of the perseverance, dedication and ingenuity of the Project Hanson team who collectively brought to life the first-born of BHR’s cross-border investment platform, the first of many to come.”
The former senior director for international affairs working in President Ronald Reagan’s National Security Council, Roger Robinson, said that “the US government has known for years that AVIC has been helping China’s military and aiding US enemies and as such was sanctioned in the past.” The fact that AVIC has very well-known ties to the Chinese government makes the Obama-Biden administration’s approval all the more curious. “This is anything but a benign Chinese enterprise,” said Robinson.
