Democrats In the House Voted Down a GOP Amendment To Bar Amnesty For Illegal Aliens With 10 or More DUI’s

Over twenty Democrats struck down an amendment to the $3.5 trillion spending bill that would prevent giving amnesty to illegal aliens with ten or more DUI convictions.

On Monday, Representative Michael Johnson (R-LA) said while introducing the amendment:

“I do not wish to belabor this point, but I do find it truly incredible. Since 23 of my Democrat colleagues just voted to affirm that they do not believe that two or more convictions for DUI should prohibit an illegal alien from being granted amnesty and welcomed into America, I will try this one more time, and see if 10 or more convictions for will compel them to change their minds.”

Democrats voted down an amendment that attempted to bar people who are here illegally, who broke the law as their very first act on our soil, who have ten or more DUI charges from being granted amnesty. This was something Johnson thought should just be common sense.

“My friends, if we cannot vote for this, that should be an alarm to every single American,” Johnson said. “We all agree that DUI is a serious crime, it’s a serious offense. My amendment seeks to make just this issue crystal clear in the bill. Let’s make sure, that if you have a serial offender… at least that will prevent them from getting amnesty.”

Something that alarms me is that Republicans are fighting to block amnesty for illegal aliens who have more than ten DUIs, instead of fighting to stop amnesty altogether. The Democrats want amnesty so that they can California the rest of America.

When President Ronald Reagan was lied to by a Democrat-controlled Congress in an amnesty deal he entered into, Reagan signed the bill and gave amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, and the Democrats told him to go to Hell for their end of the promise to support border security and E-Verify.

The amnesty from that deal ended up making California a one-party state where Republicans will never win a majority in the legislature or the governor’s seat ever again. Most of the millions of illegals in the country that got amnesty lived in California. Unlike Hispanic Americans who are here legally, most Hispanic illegal aliens are more leftist than an Occupy Wall Street activist and they vote loyally for Democrats. That is what the Democrats in DC want to do to the entire country and they want to get it by sleazy moves like adding an amnesty provision in a $3.5 trillion spending bill.

After the summer recess on Monday when Democrat lawmakers slithered back to the House, the debate continued over the provisions being offered for the $3.5 trillion spending package, and the divisions between the parties are just as strong as before the recess, maybe stronger.

If the Republican lawmakers can’t stop the $3.5 trillion spending bill, they can at least argue to the parliamentarian that an amnesty bill can not be added to a spending bill. Maybe Jason Smith, the House parliamentarian, is as corrupt as Speaker Nancy Pelosi, but it’s still worth it to have that objection mentioned and available in the archives for future historians to know the exact time when our republic crumbled.

In the other chamber of Congress, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) is still voicing his opposition to a package the size his party is pushing.

Over the weekend, Machin said of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, “Chuck knows that — we’ve talked about this.” I can’t imagine the pressure on him by the Marxists in his party trying to threaten him into capitulation.

“We’ve tried to help Americans in every way we possibly can, and a lot of the help that we’ve put out there is still there, and it’s going to run clear until next year, 2022, so what’s the urgency?”

Everything Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and President Joe Biden do is political. I bet their use of a restroom is political. They are pushing amnesty for the votes. Anyone who tells you differently is lying to you.
