Colorado Democrat Governor Jared Polis during an interview declared that the COVID-19 emergency is “over” and that he will not be implementing another statewide mask mandate in response to the Omicron variant, explaining that if people aren’t vaccinated at this point, it’s their “own darn fault” if they get catch COVID and get sick.
Notice how Polis didn’t get into the ludicrous DC Democrat mantra of how the unvaccinated are making the vaccinated people sick. Could we have an honest Democrat politician here? This should be treated like discovering a unicorn. It’s so rare a find that you don’t want to do anything to scare it away. We need to study it and see what makes it tick and hopefully figure out ways we can spread the honesty to other members of his tribe. That could be how we save America. We could then use the cure on members of the mainstream news media. Can you imagine how great this country could be if we had an honest press?
On Friday, Polis told Colorado Public Radio that, “Everybody had more than enough opportunity to get vaccinated.” He added, “Hopefully it’s been at your pharmacy, your grocery store, a bus near you, [or at] big events. At this point, if you haven’t been vaccinated, it’s really your own darn fault.”
People who are unvaccinated have known that from the very beginning. It is not a new revelation. It’s new to Democrats, but conservatives have understood this from day one.
“Those who get sick, it’s almost entirely their own darn fault,” he said. “I don’t want to say that nobody [will get the virus if they’re] vaccinated, but it’s very rare. Just to put it in perspective, of the about 1,400 people hospitalized, less than 200 (or 16 percent) are vaccinated. And many of them are older or have other conditions. Eighty-four percent of the people in our hospitals are unvaccinated, and they absolutely had every chance to get vaccinated.”
But many of them don’t trust the vaccines. Some because they know how to read, and the CDC’s VAERS system is telling them that thousands of Americans are dying and coming down with permanent disabilities. For example, December 3 is the latest data dump for VAERS for the US. It shows 9,136 Americans have died because they took the vaccine. You say out of 330 million people, that’s a low number? Really? First off, 330 million Americans didn’t get the vaccine. In 2019 about 160 million Americans, including me, go the flu shot. Less that 200 people died from getting the shot. The year before that the number was lower. Now imagine over 9,000 people have died in less than a year of taking the vaccine.
VAERS shows 10,645 Americans now have permanent disabilities because they got the vaccine. There have been 1,444 miscarriages, 4,541 heart attacks, 4,146 Americans came down with myocarditis/pericarditis, which is an inflammation of the heart that in children to young men is leading many of them to heart failure. Dr. Peter McCullough, an epidemiologist and top cardiologist, recently explained findings showing that myocarditis caused by COVID was far less severe than myocarditis caused by the vaccine.
Then there are those who don’t trust the vaccines because they are following the advice of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris who both said while running for the White House that they do not trust the vaccines because President Donald Trump was behind the creation of them. Well, they are still Trump’s vaccines.
“And at this point, I think it’s almost like they made a deliberate decision not to get vaccinated,” Polis added. Gee, ya think? Next time tell us when the Vatican elects a Catholic as Pope.
“I still encourage everybody who hasn’t been vaccinated to get protected. And for those who are, make sure to get that booster after six months. The data shows it’s important and very likely even more so with this Omicron variant.” He said this even though the South African doctor who discovered the Omicron variant has repeatedly said that it is a mild variant of COVID.
Polis went on to say that he’s okay with local jurisdictions creating their own mandates, but said that the state will stay out of it. In other words, he doesn’t want the state to be sued when people start dying off from the vaccines or at least coming down with illnesses.
“The emergency is over,” he said. “You know, public health [officials] don’t get to tell people what to wear; that’s just not their job. Public health [officials] would say to always wear a mask because it decreases flu and decreases [other airborne illnesses]. But that’s not something that you require; you don’t tell people what to wear. You don’t tell people to wear a jacket when they go out in winter and force them to [wear it]. If they get frostbite, it’s their own darn fault.”
I guess he would say if you got the vaccine, and you died from it or got a permanent disability, it’s your own darn fault.
“If you haven’t been vaccinated, that’s your choice. I respect that. But it’s your fault when you’re in the hospital with COVID,” he said
He’s talking to his constituents like they’re children. People know that if they are unvaccinated and they catch COVID, it’s because they are unvaccinated.
The governor then went on a tear insulting the American people. So much for the unicorn. Polis went on to say there is an “alternate misinformation universe” that is the reason people are not getting vaccinated.
“There are people that believe you and I are part of some massive conspiracy, Ryan,” he told “Colorado Matters” host Ryan Warner. “Some of them believe there is no COVID; some of them believe the vaccine doesn’t work; some believe that the vaccine has severe side effects. The truth is they’re in their own bubble, and it’s very hard to penetrate.”
First off, I don’t know anyone who thinks COVID is not real. There have been no news stories about people who think COVID doesn’t exist. Polis is just spreading his own misinformation or making a mountain out of a molehill.
Next, the vaccines don’t work the way they were promised. To claim that people who say this are spreading misinformation is itself misinformation. The vaccines’ efficacy wanes over time, which is not what vaccines are supposed to do. A vaccine is supposed to give you immunity. It’s not supposed to wear off. This is why we call it a flu shot and not a flu vaccine. If the vaccines did work, then there would be no talk about a fourth booster shot. The so-called vaccines are more like therapeutics that can be used to keep from getting really sick if you catch it, but don’t claim the vaccines are fully effective because they’re not.
