A handful of protesters entered the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. The cathedral is the mother church of the Los Angeles Archdiocese. A spokesman for the archdiocese confirmed the incident. The women were wearing attire that resembled the women in The Handmaiden’s Tale. One man was s9o incensed that he climbed over the pews in order to reach the protesters, and he told them in no uncertain terms to clear out.
A parishioner told the Catholic News Agency that the protesters wore huge hats and red hooded gowns. The protests started just before communion. The4y thought this was appropriate, but what if the parishioners attended a Satanic ritual that included the killing of children at a clip of over 600,000 a year, sacrificed to their god? I’m guessing they would disagree with that.
The parishioner who spoke to CNA, Bradford Adkins said:
“I was getting ready for a stampede, and I glanced near the exits.”
He added that they were carrying a large green banner, but he was unable to read what it said. CNA said cathedral staff and parishioners intervened. Cellphone video shows a man wearing a plaid shirt and jeans climbing over the pews in order to confront the protesters. Once he got face to face with them, the protesters halted their forward advance.

CNA said the protesters’ costumes resemble those worn by members of leftist group Ruth Sent Us, which threatened to disrupt Catholic masses on Mother’s Day.

But CNA said Ruth Sent Us as of Sunday night didn’t appear to have taken responsibility for the L.A. protest, and the outlet added that group representatives didn’t respond to a request for comment.
Ruth Sent Us posted on its website apparent home addresses of six conservative Supreme Court justices — John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett — and was planning “walk-by” protests Wednesday at their residences in the wake of the leaked draft from the high court that would overturn Roe v. Wade.
