Oh no, DACA is back in the news.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals(DACA) is an illegal executive branch memorandum put into place by President Barack Obama on June 15, 2012. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) began accepting applications for the program on August 15, 2012.
A United States immigration policy that allows some individuals with unlawful presence in the United States after being brought to the country as children to receive a renewable two-year period of deferred action from deportation and become eligible for a work permit in the U.S.
Even with both houses of Congress in his first term, former President Barak Obama could not get immigration reform pushed through.
But even after acknowledging, he did not have the authority to create immigration law from the Oval Office, Mr. Obama crafted a workaround which is still in effect today, avoiding congress.
Full of criminals, welfare recipients, and non-assimilating illegal aliens, now adults, DACA has been a hot potato especially for those who are for law & order. With all this true, there are members in the Trump cabinet, including his Senior Advisor to the President of the United States and son-in-law Jared Kushner, who have been pushing the President to find a solution for the DACA recipients and offer them a pathway to citizenship.

President Trump on Friday told Telemundo that he will be signing a huge executive order on immigration that will include DACA in the coming weeks.
“We are going to have a road to citizenship,” said Trump citing the recent SCOTUS ruling on DACA.

The Supreme Court ruled last month that President Trump cannot end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
Chief Justice John Roberts, a Bush appointee, once again sided with the liberal justices to ban President Trump from ending the DACA program.
Justice Thomas said in his dissent that Thursday’s SCOTUS decision is “An effort to avoid a politically controversial but legally correct decision.”
Trump took to Twitter and blasted the Supreme Court in a pair of tweets.
“These horrible & politically charged decisions coming out of the Supreme Court are shotgun blasts into the face of people that are proud to call themselves Republicans or Conservatives.
We need more Justices or we will lose our 2nd. Amendment & everything else. Vote Trump 2020!” Trump said.
Many on the conservative side, though President Trump supporters are urging him to not move forward using an Executive Order to create immigration law.
One deadline: Senator Ted Cruz Slams Trump’s ‘Road to Citizenship’ Claim for Pending DACA Executive Order: ‘HUGE Mistake’
I am not a happy camper about DACA at all. It should have been canceled, as it is an Executive Order and not a legislative and signed law.
The idea of President Trump using another EO, to modify DACA seems illogical not legal to me or Senator Cruz. Let’s see what the President signs and then go from there.
