Black Single Mom with $7 to Her Name Donates Lottery Winnings to Police Officer Shot on Duty

All I hear from the major news networks is gloom and doom. They broadcast one crisis after another, hatred, and racism with no solutions accept, get rid of the orange guy, or re-elect President Trump to MAGA.

I as one deeply involved in American Civics, can easily identify flaws with those on the left who are promoting the conversation of our great country to Marxism. To stop them from succeeding I spend 40 plus hours a week writing, speaking, and planning my next steps in the battle.

The fact is there are numerous acts of kindness taking place through our land. They don’t fit the angry programming schedules of the news networks, and for the most part, go unnoticed leaving Americans to feel like there is no good left in the USA.

Well hold on to your seat, this one will cheer you up as people who are not supposed to get along and “should” be blaming each other for the wrongs that has been done, didn’t this time.

From PJ Media

An African American single mom who lost her job during the CCP coronavirus pandemic lockdowns, and was down to her last $7, donated her winnings from a lottery ticket to a police officer who was shot in the line of duty. When the police department set up a donation link to help her out, she expressed disbelief and asked, “Don’t the officer and his family need it more?” This is how America heals, everyone.

Shetara Sims, from Kansas City, MO, found a dollar in a parking lot of a grocery store and used it to buy a scratch-off lottery ticket. Sims won $100, but instead of using the money to take care of her family, her daughter Rakiya suggested that they give the money to a police officer who had been shot on July 2 and was still in intensive care.

The Kansas City Police Department shared the story on their Facebook page, and hundreds of people asked how they could help Sims. The problem was that Sims had made the donation anonymously, and the police didn’t know how to contact her. Once they tracked her down, they set up a GoFundMe account to help her get on her feet.

Check out the entire story and if possible help this single mother get on her feet.  Click on this GoFundMe link.

What a story, helps remind us God is still working amongst the people, in the midst of the hate and despair rising up in our metro areas. In the end, not a bad day for mom, as of this writing, the GoFundMe has raised over $40,000 in five days.
