President Joe Biden’s nominee for US Comptroller, Saule Omarova, tried to say people who have a problem with what she recently said about the fossil fuel industry are too stupid to understand what she really meant by blaming the misunderstanding on “poor phrasing” when she said the climate change cultists want fossil fuel companies should go bankrupt in order to “tackle climate change.”
How else can you take that? What is the misunderstanding?
A Cornell Law professor, Omarova said she wanted to bankrupt fossil fuel companies to expedite climate change policies.
“For certain troubled industries and firms that are in transition. And here what I’m thinking about is primarily coal industry and oil and gas industry,” Omarova said.
“A lot of the smaller players in that industry are going to probably go bankrupt in short order – at least we want them to go bankrupt if we want to tackle climate change, right?” Omarova added.
It’s one thing to want to promote green and alternative energy, but to call for the fossil fuel industry to go bankrupt before you have a working infrastructure in place to replace it is a lunatic’s fantasy. The watermelons either don’t comprehend or care about how the fossil fuel industry makes our lives enjoyable. I’m not just talking about oil and gasoline. Practically everything you own that is plastic is made from oil. Those companies go bankrupt and in time you’re not going to get an iPhone made from alfalfa sprouts.
On Thursday, Omarova, during her nomination hearing of the Senate Banking Committee, blamed “poor phrasing” for her comments to bankrupt oil and natural gas companies. I’m here to tell you she is lying. She meant exactly what she said. Progressive Marxists speak openly around themselves, mostly because that who they surround themselves with, and she forgot herself. She thought she was still surrounded by people wo hate America and despise the oil industry.
Senate Banking Chairman Sherrod Brown (D-OH) asked Omarova a setup question so she could deceive the American people with a lie. Brown asked, “Do you want to bankrupt natural gas companies?”
“Absolutely not. That was poor phrasing,” Omarova replied. And that is a bald-faced lie. We all heard what she said.
Senator Jon Tester (D-MT), asked Omarova about her call to eliminate natural gas companies, saying he had significant concerns about her policy positions.
The Moscow State University graduate under a Lenin scholarship said her words were “not well phrased.” In other words, “I realize my comments let the proverbial cat out of the bag, so I’m going to blame it on the people who heard me say them by claiming they were too stupid to understand what I really meant.”
Tester also showed concerns over Omarova’s opposition to the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act, which provided regulatory relief for small and medium-sized banks from the Dodd-Frank banking legislation.
She responded, saying that she now recognizes the legislation as the law of the land. Translation: “I will say anything to get the job and God help you once I do.”
Omarova said “anything below $250 billion [in assets] is not a systemically important financial institution.” Who the heck is she to make that determination?
Why is it that every time Democrats are in power, they make life miserable for the country? Think about it. Ten months ago America was great again. We had an average of 7 million more jobs than we had people to fill them. Wages were rising for the first time in decades.
Sometimes I think this administration is doing all the destructive things they’ll pulled on us this year as a punishment to America for electing Donald Trump president in 2016 because he went on to point out how incredibly incompetent all politicians are in fixing the economy and making American great for working families. Am I wrong?
