Supporters of President Donald J. Trump formed a caravan of trucks and cars, and a hearse at one point, adorned with Trump flags and followed a Tour Bus, wrapped in Biden/Harris Campaign signage, carry Vice President candidate Kamala Harris around Texas, and followed the Bus around to numerous campaign stops in Texas over a three day period.
At one point a white car, with a supporter of Joe Biden attempted to drive the Trump cars and trucks out of the immediate surrounding area of the Bus and ended swamping paint with a large black truck.
The video showed below shows the white car moving from the lane where it would later return to apparently try to push a truck out of the space. The video below is shown with a breakdown.
An Insurance adjustor posted their observations, saying “Insurance adjuster. White car aggressive driving. Vacates lane, moves back into occupied lane. Don’t know what the white car was doing?”
Democrats rushed to president the story as the Trump supporters were responsible.
A woman posted a photo of the car, attempting to blame “trumpsters” or supporters of Trump’s for the altercation, she was responding to a poster who identified himself as Dr. Eric Cervini, and who posted, “I flew down to Texas to help with the Biden/Harris bus tour, intended to drum up enthusiasm at polling locations. Instead, I ended up spending the afternoon calling 911,” he posted.
KXAN reported on the matter:
Supporters of President Donald Trump allegedly harassed a Joe Biden-Kamala Harris bus as it traveled through Central Texas on Friday, according to local Democratic activists.
Videos and photos posted on social media show a long line of vehicles flying Trump flags trailing the Biden-Harris bus as it traveled from San Antonio to Austin on I-35. In some images, the bus appears to be boxed in by the vehicles.
Some members of the Texas Democrats’ campaign say that a Biden-Harris staffer’s car was hit during the incident.
As a result of the incident, campaign events in Austin and Pflugerville were canceled.
Katie Naranjo, chair of the Travis County Democratic Party, tweeted that Trump supporters followed the bus in an attempt to intimidate Biden voters.
“They ran into a person’s car, yelling curse words and threats. Don’t let bullies win, vote,” she added.
The Texas Democratic Party said that some of the vehicles pulled in front of the bus and slowed down to try to bring it to a stop on the highway.
Law enforcement responded to the incident and helped the bus reach its destination, the party said. However, the campaign then decided to cancel an event at the Texas AFL-CIO parking lot in Austin later that day.
In a Twitter thread, historian Eric Cervini, who said he traveled to Texas to help the Biden-Harris campaign, said the Trump supporters waited on I-35 to “ambush” the bus.
Cevini was understandably frustrated with the humiliation of seeing the Biden bus being followed by numerous motor vehicles for three days and being highlighted in the media by numerous outlets, as powerful political theater against his candidate.
The 2020 Presidential election has been contentious for months, so it is understandable that Biden’s supporters are not happy about the Trump caravan.
The optics were welcomed by Trump supporters.
The Hodge Twins wrote, “We salute the Patriots in Texas escorting the Biden/Harris bus the hell outta town.”
John Cardillo, a Trump supporter wrote, “The Biden/Harris campaign bus being escorted out of Texas by Trump flagged pickups is just glorious.”
Jake Tapper joined his fellow Biden supporter and was not pleased with the attention the story has been getting.
President Trump made reference to the Bus, and the story has gone viral.
