On the same day that the Senate Parliamentarian told Chuck Schumer that he could pass Biden’s so-called infrastructure bill through the reconciliation process, Sen Joe Manchin of WV drove a wooden stake through the bill’s heart by declaring that he was against the bill because of the increase in the corporate tax rate.
To make matters worse for Schumer (A practice I heartedly endorse) there are more Democratic Senators who will not vote for the bill.
After Democratic governors locked down their states and devastated their economies is hardly the time to put more pressure on an already shaky system.
The bill is supposed to raise money to pay fo0r the liberal wish list with no upside whatsoever. But, there is no guaranty that the bill would raise nearly the amount Biden and the Democrats are counting on since many corporations would move out of the country and could mean fewer taxes and not more.
Biden’s plan would raise corporate taxes from 21% to 28%.
When President Trump cut the rate from 35%, he unleashed the economy and the country saw the unemployment rate hit new lows but Biden insisted that the opposite would not be true.
Best of all, the unemployment rates for Blacks and Hispanics hit all-time lows. Democrats claim the lowest unemployment among Blacks happened under their watch until they were told slavery doesn’t count.
Sen. Joe Manchin, an influential centrist Democrat, warned Monday that the Biden administration’s massive infrastructure package can’t pass in its current form because he and a handful of other Senate Democrats believe the corporate tax hikes proposed in the bill — designed to offset its costs — are too steep.
“As the bill exists today, it needs to be changed,” he told West Virginia Metro News host Hoppy Kercheval in a radio interview when asked if he supported or opposed President Joe Biden’s $2.25 trillion proposal.
Manchin said he is against raising the current 21% corporate tax rate — which was put in place by the 2017 tax overhaul under the Trump administration — to 28% as called for in the bill and instead supports a middle ground 25% rate, which he called “fair.”
The West Virginia senator said he would use the “leverage” he has in the 50-50 Senate to demand changes before voting to take up the bill, which has been introduced but expected to go through weeks or months of negotiations before being debated on the floor.
CBS should be sued by Gov Ron DeSantis for intentionally lying about their interview with DeSantis in which liar for hire Sharyn Alfonsi and falsely accusing him of being in a pay for play scheme with Publix Supermarkets over the COVID-19 vaccines. CBS heavily edited the interview to make it appear that DeSantis was guilty. Even Democrats are coming to his defense and calling CBS liars. CBS could sue for defamation of character.
DeSantis completely blew apart the accusation and explaining what really happened. CBS then selectively edited the interview. CBS removed the vast majority of DeSantis’ response in order to intentionally make an innocent man appear guilty. They tried to make Alfonsi’s lie hold up under scrutiny. She claimed that DeSantis pressured groups to use Publix after they gave him a $100,000 campaign donation.
Publix said in a scathing statement slamming the “60 Minutes” segment:
“The irresponsible suggestion that there was a connection between campaign contributions made to Governor DeSantis and our willingness to join other pharmacies in support of the state’s vaccine distribution efforts is absolutely false and offensive.”
“We are proud of our pharmacy associates for administering more than 1.5 million doses of vaccine to date and for joining other retailers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia to do our part to help our communities emerge from the pandemic.”
Former Florida State Representative Jared Moskowitz, a Democrat, slammed “60 Minutes” :
“@60Minutes I said this before and I’ll say it again. @Publix was recommended by [FL Division of Emergency Management] and [Florida Dept. Health] as the other pharmacies were not ready to start. Period! Full Stop! No one from the Governor[‘]s office suggested Publix. It’s just absolute malarkey.”
This is Jared Moskowitz, director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management. He’s a Democrat, served as one in the state legislature until 2019, and campaigned for Gore and Obama. He’s not falling for this absolute garbage, and neither should you. https://t.co/Ng3pyNI87W
Here is the complete answer DeSantis gave 60 Minutes with the words in bold type being left out of the video by CBS:
Ron DeSantis: —that, that’s a fake narrative. So, first of all, when we did, the first pharmacies that had it were CVS and Walgreens. And they had a long-term care mission. So they were going to the long-term care facilities. They got the vaccine in the middle of December, they started going to the long-term care facilities the third week of December to do LTCs. So that was their mission. That was very important. And we trusted them to do that. As we got into January, we wanted to expand the distribution points. So yes, you had the counties, you had some drive through sites, you had hospitals that were doing a lot, but we wanted to get it into communities more. So we reached out to other retail pharmacies — Publix, Walmart — obviously CVS and Walgreens had to finish that mission. And we said, we’re going to use you as soon as you’re done with that. For Publix, they were the first one to raise their hand, say they were ready to go. And you know what, we did it on a trial basis. I had three counties. I actually showed up that weekend and talked to seniors across four different Publix. How was the experience? Is this good? Should you think this is a way to go? And it was 100% positive. So we expanded it, and then folks liked it. And I can tell you, if you look at a place like Palm Beach County, they were kind of struggling at first in terms of the senior numbers. I went, I met with the county mayor. I met with the administrator. I met with all the folks in Palm Beach County, and I said, “Here’s some of the options: we can do more drive-through sites, we can give more to hospitals, we can do the Publix, we can do this.” They calculated that 90% of their seniors live within a mile and a half of a Publix. And they said, “We think that would be the easiest thing for our residents.” So, we did that, and what ended up happening was, you had 65 Publix in Palm Beach. Palm Beach is one of the biggest counties, one of the most elderly counties, we’ve done almost 75% of the seniors in Palm Beach, and the reason is because you have the strong retail footprint. So our way has been multifaceted. It has worked. And we’re also now very much expanding CVS and Walgreens, now that they’ve completed the long term care mission.
Moskowitz is not the only Democrat to condemn 60 Minutes.
“We have confronted this pandemic for over a year. Our residents, like all Americans, are tired. And the media is making it worse. They are hellbent on dividing us for cheap views and clicks. 60 Minutes should be ashamed.”
Kerner — who, again, is a Democrat — says 60 Minutes refused to talk to him. Yeah, because if they did, they’d have no story. At CBS News, facts just get in the way.
I don’t blame Mayor Kerner for being ticked off. What’s the conspiracy theory here? Publix donated to DeSantis, and in return he did some sort of shady deal to make them one of the places you can get vaccinated? Publix bribed DeSantis to be able to give out vaccines for free? And their incentive is… I dunno, tricking people into going to their stores and buying milk and bread, since they’re there anyway?
The Trump Effect is still going strong. Those who voted for his impeachment could all be gone from congress next year except for Senators who are not up for reelection yet.
In Alaska, Lisa Murkowski is already 15 points behind her opponent Kelly Tshibaka. But, if I know Murkowski she will flip flop on her vote in order to save her worthless hide. She could blame on a change of medication or the heartbreak of psoriasis, but she will flip.
Tshibaka, a former Alaska Department of Administration commissioner, leads Murkowski by roughly 15 points, or 33.6 points, to Murkowski’s 18.8 percent. Democrat Al Gross is at 17.6% and Alaska Independence Party John Howe clocks in at 5,7%, The other 21 plus % are undecided.
Murkowski should consider becoming an ice road trucker if she wishes to remain in the spotlight. I would consider this a pick-up for Republicans as well as the other seats occupied by the traitors.
The survey, conducted by Cygnal, found that Murkowski has been in a death spiral ever since she voted to impeach President Trump. I won’t miss her or any of the other squishy Republicans who lose their seats over their vote. But, we need to replace them with real conservatives. It seems likely that in the 2022 midterm elections President Trump0 will be a king and queen maker. It sets him up nicely for 2024.
The truth is Alaskans have always hated votes that Murkowski has made that is against their principals including amnesty.
Brock McCleary, the vice president of Cygnal, wrote:
“Lisa Murkowski is in as weak of a position as an incumbent could possibly find themselves in. A strong Republican candidate is poised to defeat Murkowski. Kelly Tshibaka is that candidate.”
“She’s been voting with them, hurting our way of life, and she’s not standing up to the radical Biden administration while they kill our oil and gas jobs. She’s voted to allow illegal immigrants to come into our country. Even if they commit crime, they can stay here.”
“She was the deciding vote to keep Obamacare, and that means higher health care costs and fewer healthcare choices for us in Alaska. We have some of the highest health care costs in the country.”
A Sky News reporter has taken Joe Biden to the woodshed over his massive cognitive decline. During the Trump administration CNN and other fake news networks would trash Trump, many times having to make up facts or get opinions from people claiming that Trump was not right in the head despite never meeting him.
When Trump slow walked down the steps of Air Force One Slowly CNN spent 22 minutes on the non story but when Biden actually fell they spent just 15n seconds.
His handlers kept a tight rein on him during the campaign by locking him in the basement. It was his only chance of winning as he was making daily gaffes before the lockdown. As president it has gotten no better.
His first press conference was not until he was in office almost two months breaking the old record of 33 days. And then his handlers supplied him with a cheat sheet with reporter’s pictures to make sure he called on friendly members of them press.
“Leader of the Free World is incoherent, having to be propped up physically and intellectually… After the stumble, the websites of MSNBC, CBS News, the Washington Post, Lost Angeles Times and the New York Times all had no mention of Biden’s stumbling incident,” Mr Jones said. “To prove the Trump point, when it came to airtime on television, CNN devoted 15 seconds to the incident”. “But when Trump walked slowly down a ramp after he delivered a graduation address last June, CNN devoted 22 minutes to Trump’s walk, the media pushing the line that Trump – 74 – was facing serious health question.”
Democrats called the riots in Washington an armed insurrection even though there were no arms there. However, let a group of BLM members with what Democrats call an assault rifle at the state capital of Georgia and you don’t hear a peep out of them. This fake hysteria over the Georgia Voting Integrity bill is nonsense. Democrats led by Stacey Abrams claimed that Republicans requiring a picture ID in 2018 suppressed the Black and Hispanic voters.
But in 2018 a record was set both by Blacks and Hispanic voters and despite the massive influx of minority voters, Abrams lost the governor’s race by 55,000. Yet she and other Democrats insist that the election was stolen by way of voter suppression. So, how can you see a record number of Blacks voting, and yet the Black woman loses by 55,000 votes?
The answer would probably irritate Abrams but it was Black men who put Kemp over the top.
2020 exit polls by Edison Research found that Trump improved among black men and women in 2020. He took 18% of the Black male vote and 8% of the women vote, translating into Trump winning more Black votes than in 2016 by 4 percentage points. Blacks make up nearly 12% of the electorate. So, how did Trump do so much better among Blacks and Hispanics in Georgia and he lost? Maybe he did but it is a question that needs answering.
In Edison’s case, 18 percent of Black men voters cast ballots for Trump, while 8 percent of Black women did the same.
The state of Georgia will be auditing Fulton County votes and that will give us a good idea whether Trump lost fairly or not.
The Big Media is quick to label the events that occurred in Washington D.C. on January 6th as an armed insurrection, when it was not. But when BLM members bring AK 47’s to the Georgia Capitol, there’s no mention of guns.
The Big Media reported for months that the Capitol protests in Washington, D.C. on January 6th, included armed protesters but to date, there is no evidence of anyone being armed besides the Capitol Police there that day:
However, on March 25, a Georgia politician was arrested and taken out of a press conference where the Georgia Governor was announcing Georgia’s new law protecting voter integrity in the state.
The Democrat was not to be deterred. A couple of days later, she reappeared at the Georgia Capitol but this time she brought along armed friends. For some reason, the media never reported that her friends were armed at the Georgia Capitol.
With the GOP out of power and John Durham as worthless as teats on a boar hog, the only avenue for uncovering the Democrat’s plot with the aid of the FBI and DOJ to depose duly elected President Donald Trump and that, happens to be a lawsuit filed by Alpha Bank who was falsely accused of being in secret communications with the Trump campaign.
The lawsuit filed by the three owners of Alpha Bank has reached the discovery phase.
The discovery phase is all-important because it forces the FBI, the DOJ and Fusion GPX to supply them with all pertinent information regarding the alleged defamation against Alpha Bank and its three owners, Mikhail Fridman, Petr Aven and German Khan regarding collusion between the bank and President Trump. They have submitted a list of 22 witnesses including alleged journalists David Corn, Michael Isikoff and Eric Lichtblau.
Those three alleged journalists wrote extensively on collusion between Trump and Russia which we all now know is completely discredited. Although journalists do not normally have to give up their sources, in a case where false information was passed on to them, that right no longer exists. We may finally know who talked the alleged journalists into writing false allegations in their effort to execute a coup against the government.
The financiers are also battling with lawyers for Steele’s primary source of information, Igor Danchenko. Danchenko has already denied much of what Christopher Steele put in his phony dossier.
Getting him on the stand would be powerful testimony, to say the least.
Remember, this is our last chance to hold those who committed crimes accountable for their actions and possibly send some people to prison. Otherwise, there is nothing stopping them from doing it again.
Interviews with Steele and Danchenko could yield crucial information about how they collected information for the dossier, and how it was passed to journalists and U.S. government officials before and after the 2016 election.
Danchenko’s insight could be especially key because he has contradicted some of Steele’s allegations in the dossier during interviews with the FBI in January 2017.
The Alfa Bank owners want to find the ultimate source of information for two specific claims about them that began circulating before the 2016 election.
Although many people are talking about “woke” corporations moving to boycott Georgi9a, what no o9ne seems to be talking about is the damage being done to stockholders who will ultimately pay the price for the CEO’s political correctness. Sales for various corporations and sports leagues have seen a sharp fall in their business, many more are about to see flagging sales due to boycotts by conservatives.
Currently, the MLB has moved the All-Star game out of Georgia because they passed a law requiring absentee voters to provide a picture ID in order to vote. But, that same MLB requires people buying all-star tickets to provide a picture ID when picking up their tickets. In the grand scheme of things, what is the biggest danger to democracy? Illegal voting or attending a baseball game under a false identity?
Airlines such as Delta have also moved to punish Georgia even after accepting billions in taxpayer money. In a perfect world, at least a couple of corporations should be driven into bankruptcy after presuming to inject themselves into politics.
Since the MLB is in essence boycotting Georgia, I think it would only be fair that Georgia makes it illegal for MLB merchandise to be sold in the state and ban the All-Star game from being broadcast in Georgia.
I would also love to see Atlanta players chosen for the All-Star game to boycott it as a gesture to their fans. They could easily have 5 or more players selected for the All-Star game.
I love sports and I love politics, but I truly hate the combination of the two. I will not be watching the all-star game for the first time in over 40 years. Nor will I watch any games on TV just as I have done with the NFL.
Because I’ve also served on a number of boards of directors, both at for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Nonprofits are dedicated to some sort of mission, whether it’s educating the public, charitable work, or advancing a particular political or policy issue. By contrast, for-profit companies’ top objective is to turn a profit for the shareholders.
Directors on for-profit boards know that they have a fiduciary obligation to those who own shares in the company to make money, giving those shareholders a return on their investment. Corporate officers – from the CEO down to vice presidents – must answer to the board to explain how their decisions are in the financial best interests of the company.
When officers fail to make decisions based on that objective, or directors fail to hold officers accountable, shareholders can even bring lawsuits against them.
So it’s stunning to see companies like Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines have become so woke that they take public stands condemning some of their own customers (and presumably some shareholders as well) in Georgia, and as Major League Baseball moves the All-Star Game to a state that probably has similar or more restrictive election laws.
In a recent study by a nonpartisan panel of two universities that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is one of the very weakest Democrats in the House. Since she gained office, she has introduced 21 bills. Not one of them made it out of committee and therefore could not be voted on or passed.
The reason is clear. She is way too far left to suit the tastes and the electoral chances for many Democrats.
At the time of the testing, there were 240 Democrats in the House and AOC ranked 230th. I figure she beat Maxine Waters but off-hand cannot think of who the other nine are because let’s face it, Democrats as a whole are not very effective.
Bills from Democrats are like sex in a prison. What you want you can’t get and what you are getting you don’t want.
In fact, the Republicans are expected to roll the House over to their side in 2022 thanks to the radical bills Nancy Pelosi keeps pushing through.
Mostly, AOC is into photo-ops and bluster. That won’t get you very far. Three vulnerable Democrats have or will have returned campaign contributions from AOC because they see that being aligned with her would hamper their reelection chances.
AOC is very much in trouble herself as she is as popular within the Democrats as is the constitution. New York is expected to lose one or two seats in the House and it is believed that her district would be one the Democrats will eliminate.
Since taking office, she has worked against the reelection of incumbent Democrats.
While appearing on Fox News’ “Outnumbered” Tucker Carlson blasted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez saying “Who cares what she thinks?”
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was among the least effective members of the last Congress according to a new survey from the nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking — a joint project of Vanderbilt University and the University of Virginia.
AOC introduced a total of 21 bills which the center defined as “substantive” — but that is where the story ends. Her legislation received no action in committees, no floor votes, and none ever became law, according to the center, which takes its data from Congress.gov.
In his new book, Hunter Biden says he started an affair with his brother’s wife when I was at my lowest, she was at her neediest.
What he didn’t say about his ex girlfriend is that the affair began when his brother was still alive, and was sick from cancer.
I doubt that anyone is surprised by that fact. Hunter has no morals and no scruples whatsoever.
This takes me back to Billy Carter, brother of Jimmy.
FOX News reported today on Hunter’s upcoming book. We should have known it was fiction. FOX reports:
In Hunter Biden’s forthcoming tell-all book, the president’s son describes how his relationship with his late brother’s widow had been borne out of desperation.
After the funeral of his brother Beau, who died of brain cancer in 2015, Hunter said he’d began spending a lot of time at the home of Hallie Biden, to help with the kids in Beau’s absence. He said he slept most nights on a Murphy bed in the den and took the kids to school in the morning.
“Feeling physically and mentally purged, I phoned Hallie and asked if she would come to Arizona to pick me up. I wanted her to accompany me on the trip back,” Hunter wrote in “Beautiful Things.” ” I didn’t trust myself to make it home without backsliding — without taking a detour into the pit I fell into on my way there.”
“She flew out the next day. I was at my lowest, she was at her neediest, and we clung to each other with abandon. We talked at length about how much we had come to rely on each other, how our health and well-being seemed dependent on the love we’d grown to share,” he continued.
“There’s no question about the unseen force in the middle of it all: Beau,” Hunter wrote, adding that they’d come to think they could keep Beau alive by being together, “that by loving each other we somehow could love him back into existence.”
“By the time we returned to Delaware at the end of the week, we were no longer just two people bound by shared grief. We were a couple,” the president’s son said.
Hunter Biden has bees been kicked out of the military over his drug addiction.
He was added to the board of Burisma Holdings even though he was a druggie with no experience in Ukraine or in the gas and oil business for that matter.
