Former Bartender Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is a US House Representative for the people of New York City, and she enjoys a very radical and flamboyant career as a leading thought leader on Socialism and Communism, inspiring other Americans to shed human liberty, and shed the bondage of freedom to grow a much larger Government machine through her policy agenda called “The Green New Deal” which is a disaster for campaigns because people hate it.
But AOC believes that because she has won her tiny little New York district, that she is universally adored as a beloved national leader of leftist ideology.
Except that is just her fantasy. As the new Centrist Democrats, who have felt the scorn of Americans, are now signaling to the media and others. The Centrist left wants to come back in off the ledge.
AOC, however, disagrees.
In a recent tweet AOC slammed former Senator Claire McCaskill for chiming in that the party has gone too far left and that the party is losing support.
“Why do we listen to people who lost elections as if they are experts in winning elections? McCaskill tried her approach. She ran as a caravan-hysteria Dem& lost while grassroots organizers won progressive measures in MO. Her language here shows how she took her base for granted,” AOC wrote.
AOC is right about the power of Community Organizers, and McCaskill is right about the party losing support for going to far left.
AOC was responding to a tweet made by a Democrat Strategist Waleed Shahid.
The division in the party is becoming clear with frustration growing as Democrats talk about how they lost so much to Populists like Donald Trump. Democrats helped elect Trump, and many remain loyal to him.
The progressive wing of the Democrat party is heady with power over what they believe are victories for environmental justice, and not happy about Democrats talking about the needs of Americans.
The Washington Examiner reported on the civil war that is brewing:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is struggling to keep her members happy after the party’s meager performance during Tuesday’s election.
While Democrats are poised to keep their majority in the House, they will likely lose seats.
“Though it was a challenging election, all of our candidates made us proud, but especially those in tough races,” Pelosi said during a call with members of the House’s Democratic caucus on Thursday, according to a source for the Washington Examiner. “We held the House. Joe Biden is on a clear path to be the next president of the United States.”
But party centrists were reportedly angry.
Rep. Abigail Spanberger, who declared victory in her tight race for Virginia’s 7th District, said during the call that the “defund the police” movement almost cost her the election, according to the Washington Post’s Erica Werner. Werner added that Spanberger was yelling, tweeting, “If we run this race again we will get f*****g torn apart again in 2022, Spanberger says.”
Spanberger reportedly also said that Democrats shouldn’t use the word socialism.
Werner added that Pelosi responded that this was untrue because they won the House and the presidency, telling them they had a mandate.
“Rashida Tlaib saying before we make painful statements we need to wait and see how the numbers come down, feels like I’m being asked to be quiet and we need to appeal to certain people, and that’s not right,” Werner tweeted.
AOC is a radical leftist who employs the tactics of Community Organizing to get elected, much like former President Barack Obama and his co-pilot, Eric Holder. She appears to enjoy taunting Democrats about her love the Marxist movement.
