AND SO IT BEGINS: Cook Political Report Shifts Eight Governor’s Races Toward GOP

Every day we see new hope that we can take back our country and our states. The Cook Report has now shifted eight governor’s races towards the Republicans. That is huge and we ate still just less than a year away from the election. In three states, Wisconsin, Michigan, And Nevada shifted from “Lean Democratic” to “Toss Up.”

Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, Tony Evers of Wisconsin, and Steve Sisolak of Nevada are first-term governors who have angered a lot of voters.

I can’t help but wonder if these shifts are influenced by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Seeing as governor stand up to the tyranny and not letting them close down businesses and putting people out of work. He has fought against the unconstitutional vaccine mandate. He fights, and he wins.

The other states that have seen a shift are Maine, New Mexico, Oregon, Iowa, and South Carolina. Maine, New Mexico, and Oregon still show Democrats leading but show hope for a Republican candidate. South Carolina and Iowa are now “solidly Republican.”

The only state to shift towards the Democrats is New York and no one thought we’d have a shot of winning there.

Six of those states would be pickups for the Republicans who already hold a 28 to 22 advantage in governor mansions. If the Republicans can flip some of those seats, they will have a huge advantage, but Massachusetts will probably flip after Republican Charlie Baker has decided not to run again. He is one of the most popular governors in the country.

Stacey Abrams is running again in Georgia but I believe she is much less popular there, especially because of her stance on the removal of the all-star game from Atlanta.

From The Daily Caller

No high-profile Democratic challenger has sought to oust Republican Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, Cook noted, while an unfavorable political environment for Democrats was the reason behind Cook’s decision to shift its South Carolina rating, despite former Democratic Rep. Joe Cunningham’s candidacy.

The shifts are not the only ones Cook made this week. On Wednesday, it shifted the Massachusetts governor’s race from “Solid Republican” to “Lean Democrat” after incumbent Republican Gov. Charlie Baker opted to retire instead of running for a third term, while it shifted Georgia’s race from “Lean Republican” to “Toss Up” after Stacey Abrams said she would challenge incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp, setting up a potential high-stakes rematch.
