If Donald Trump doesn’t run in 2024 then Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis would be the next best thing as he is conservative from his core and he says what he means and means what he said.
During an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham on Thursday, DeSantis gave little room for doubt about how he thinks of the use of the term “systemic racism” and the racist “critical race theory” that the Marxists are trying to teach America’s children in schools. The Florida governor dismissed both as racist Marxist nonsense.
Ingraham was doing a “Red State Trailblazers” town hall to feature Republican governors who defied the lies of Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden, and the entire Fake News industry over the COVID pandemic, which isn’t even a pandemic anymore, and reopened their states. The guests included DeSantis, Governor Greg Abbott of Texas, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, Governor Tate Reeves of Mississippi, and Governor Pete Ricketts from Nebraska.
Ingraham asked the Florida governor if he thought the United States is a systemically racist country. DeSantis
Ingraham asked DeSantis if he believed that the United States is a systemically racist country, to which he unashamedly responded, “Well, it’s a bunch of horse manure. I mean, give me a break.”
“This country has had more opportunity for more people than any country in the history of the world and it doesn’t matter where you trace your ancestry from,” DeSantis said, adding, “We’ve had people that have been able to succeed.”
DeSantis went on to expose critical race theory.
“And here’s the problem with things like critical race theory that they’re peddling,” DeSantis said. “They’re basically saying all our institutions are bankrupt, and they’re, they’re illegitimate. How do you have a society if everything in your society is illegitimate?”
The answer is you can’t. DeSantis was spot on.
In March, DeSantis said that he would purge critical race theory from public schools in Florida because critical race theory’s ideology isn’t worth “one red cent of taxpayer money.”
“Let me be clear, there’s no room in our classrooms for things like critical race theory,” DeSantis said. “Teaching kids to hate their country and to hate each other is not worth one red cent of taxpayer money. So we will invest in actual, solid, true curriculum and we will be a leader in the development and implementation of a world-class civics education.”
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) calls the idea of systemic racism "a bunch of horse manure.”
“Give me a break … It’s a very harmful ideology, and I would say really a race-based version of a Marxist-type ideology.” pic.twitter.com/xcTuLmZtoE
Critical race theory and systemic racism are terms used to blame the failures of black people when an actual racist is nowhere to be found to blame the failure on. They used to call it “institutional racism.”
DeSantis was also asked about biological women’s sports being protected from progressive yahoos trying to force people suffering from a mental illness to ruin sports for girls and women.
“I have a 4-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old daughter, and they’re very athletic,” he said. “And we want to have opportunities for our girls. They deserve an even playing field. And that’s what we’re doing.”
For liberals reading this, what we mean when we saying we want our girls to have opportunities that are taken away from them with the transgender movement we’re talking about girls losing athletic scholarships because biological males are beating them in sports when they shouldn’t be allowed to compete in the first place. I mean, how crazy is our society now?
The Florida governor has said he will sign the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act, which will rightfully block males from competing on women’s school sports teams.
DeSantis also banned vaccine passports in The Sunshine State.
“I’m proud to be the first I think, elected official in the country, certainly statewide or governor to say, we’re not having vaccine passports in the State of Florida,” DeSantis said. “And not just saying government can’t make you, private businesses can’t make you. Because here’s the thing, you have a right to participate in society, without them asking you to divulge this type of health information, but just to go to a movie, just to go to a ballgame.”
Former President Donald Trump earlier this week said he may run again in 2024 and that he would “certainly” consider Ron DeSantis as his running mate. That would be a powerhouse team!
“He is a friend of mine. Certainly, Ron would be considered,” Trump said. “I endorsed Ron, and after I endorsed him, he took off like a rocket ship. He’s done a great job as governor. They like that. I’m just saying what I read and you read. They love that ticket.”
One of the most misnamed people on television today, Joy Behar, who is one of the more prominent, angry, and obliviously uninformed co-hosts of “The View” saw yet another opportunity to put on her Dunning Kruger mask and act out her Woke Supremacy powers to lecture Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), a black man, on racism.
On Wednesday, Scott delivered the Republican response to President Joe Biden’s first address to a joint session of Congress to remind us that despite Biden’s irresponsible rhetoric, “America is not a racist country.”
Earlier in the week, mainstream news media reporters were feverishly digging into Scott’s background in an effort to come up with something to discredit him. The best they could do is claim that Scott’s family was not as poor as people think, suggesting that his family’s poverty was a privilege if you can believe it.
“I’ve also experienced a different kind of intolerance. I get called ‘Uncle Tom’ and the n-word by progressives, by liberals,” the senator said when he took a swipe at the post for their hit piece on him. “Just last week, a national newspaper suggested that my family’s poverty was actually a privilege because a relative owned land generations before my time.”
The strangest phenomenon is when leftists think it’s okay to be racist against a black conservative.
And with that, the tolerant blue checkmark leftists started in with their racist attacks on the black US Senator, calling him “Uncle Tim” and worse.
How can calling Tim Scott “Uncle Tim” be racist when he just told everyone this isn’t a racist country? 🙂🇺🇸
This clown thinks Scott doesn’t have the capacity to think for himself. Maybe Nasheed suffers from victimhood status so much that he himself is incapable of believing black Americans are free to make their own destiny. What a sad little racist man.
A major strategy of racists, is to incentivize one of it's Black victims to act as the crash test dummy for white supremacy.
When Uncle Tim Scott says America is not a racist country, he is fully aware he is speaking in bad faith.
The reprobates on the Left made it so that “Uncle Tim” started trending on Twitter for several hours before the tech tyrants there finally took measures to block it. I think every user who tweeted that term should be removed from Twitter for spreading racism.
And to show once again how crazy insane the Left is, Vice President Kamala Harris hours after Scott’s remarks agreed that the United States is not a racist country. Yet the Woke Supremacy didn’t attack her at all.
EXCLUSIVE: Vice Pres. Kamala Harris says that she does not think the United States is a "racist country" but that it is important to "speak the truth" about the role racism has played in the nation's history. https://t.co/c8o8A4wX4Hpic.twitter.com/NVImgMeVjR
Behar tried to school Senator Scott on racism, saying, “Now, Tim Scott, he does not seem to understand, and a lot of them don’t seem to understand — the difference between, um, a racist country and … systemic racism. They don’t seem to get the difference. Yes, maybe it’s not a racist country. Maybe Americans, the majority, are not racist. But we live in a country with systemic racism.”
So the new line from the whacky Left is that America is not a racist country, but that it has systemic racism. How much more loony tunes can you get? Systemic means all throughout, taking up the entirety of whatever you’re talking about. I don’t think Behar knows that saying America has systemic racism is the same as saying America is a racist country. If it’s not a racist country then it cannot be systemically racist. I’m sorry, Dum Dum, but it can’t be both things at the same time.
Behar is trying to say that the people of America are not racist, but the system itself is. If that were the case, then no black Americans would be able to thrive, and yet we have millions who do. If the system really is systemically racist, then how do black Americans get college degrees, good-paying jobs, buy houses to live in, and raise their children without the help of Joy Reid and her band of angry shrews?
Behar added, “The fact that Tim Scott cannot acknowledge this … is appalling. How can you go out there and say that when you just said two minutes ago that you were the object and the victim of discrimination? And then he says that this is not a racist country. At least acknowledge that there is systemic racism. That’s what I wanted to hear from him, and he didn’t say it.”
Again, Behar is in over her head. She just got done saying that America is not a racist country and now she’s saying that because Tim Scott said that he had left-wing racists attacking him that the country is racist. Does she not understand that a country can have racists in it without the country being racist? Is she so stupid that she thinks a leftist calling the senator Uncle Tim or even the n-word means the country is systemically racist? I would love to see her SAT scores.
Thursday morning, during an appearance on Fox, Senator Scott said that the Left attacking him with racial epithets was “upsetting” and really “disappointing,” and he made the point that “leftists are literally attacking the color of my skin.” I don’t think Behar would be able to comprehend his point.
“The left has doubled down,” he continued. “You cannot step down out of your lane, according to the liberal elite left.”
Scott added that “what they want for us is for us to stay in a small corner and not go against the tide that they think is America. Their America and my America are not the same if they think that discriminating is the fastest way to end discrimination.” Amen.
Joe Biden is preparing to pay out reparations for slavery even though no one living today ever owned a slave and no one living today was ever a slave.
Slavery ended 156 years ago.
Biden’s excuse for the payments is because of the systemic racism in the White House United States. But, the truth is Americans are overwhelmingly against reparations. Which doesn’t matter because it’s not like Democrats give a crap about what Americans want.
Biden is trying to see just how much he can spend. He has proposed a $1.9 trillion dollar stimulus bill and reports say he is already planning a second stimulus for $3 trillion dollars to be spent on parts of the green new deal.
On top of that, Biden met with union bosses who are trying to convince Biden to spend $4 trillion on infrastructure. Reparations would be a killer in the world of economics.
Say all descendants of slaves were to get $50,000 and that is on the very low side. There are 48,221,139 Blacks in the country. Multiply that by 50,000 and you get $2.411 trillion dollars. That would bring total spending of all combined to over $11 trillion dollars. One study put the cost of reparations at an estimated price tag between $5.9 trillion and $14.2 trillion.
Would anyone seriously consider this? Yes, of course, the Democrats would. They’d love to buy votes in future elections with the taxpayers footing the bill.
There is currently a study being done on reparations. The bill, “Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act,” states:
To address the fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery in the United States and the 13 American colonies between 1619 and 1865 and to establish a commission to study and consider a national apology and proposal for reparations for the institution of slavery, its subsequent de jure and de facto racial and economic discrimination against African Americans, and the impact of these forces on living African Americans, to make recommendations to the Congress on appropriate remedies, and for other purposes.
“White nationalism and police-community conflict are just part of the long legacy of anti-Black racism that has shaped our nation’s laws, institutions, and societal attitudes,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said in his opening remarks at the hearing. “That racism and division hold back our country’s long-standing efforts to carry out what the Preamble to our Constitution says it is designed to do — to form ‘a more perfect union.'”
“Reparations in the context of H.R. 40 are ultimately about respect and reconciliation—and the hope that one day, all Americans can walk together toward a more just future,” Nadler stated.
You hear this phrase, ‘systemic racism’ [or] ‘systemic oppression’,” host Mark Levin told Sowell. “You hear it on our college campuses.
You hear it from very wealthy and fabulously famous sports stars. What does that mean? And whatever it means, is it true?”
“It really has no meaning that can be specified and tested in the way that one tests hypotheses,” answered Sowell, who added that the currency of the phrase reminds him of the “propaganda tactics” of Nazi Germany, where Sowell claimed that if a lie was “repeated long enough and loud enough” it would be widely believed.
Sowell was born poor in North Carolina and grew up in Harlem before attending the Stuyvesant magnet school and moving on to the Ivy League and the University of Chicago.
Initially attracted to the left, Sowell eventually rejected socialism in favor of conservatism. He has written some of the most important critiques of left-wing dogma.
In his 2005 book Affirmative Action Around the World: An Empirical Study, Sowell observed: “Despite sweeping claims made for affirmative action programs, an examination of their actual consequences makes it hard to support those claims, or even to say that these programs have been beneficial on net balance — unless one is prepared to say that any amount of social redress, however small, is worth any amount of costs and dangers, however large.”
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal in 2017, Sowell described President Donald Trump as “the first Republican who’s made any serious attempt to get the black vote by addressing problems that affect most blacks who are trying to do the right thing—such as education, which is such low-hanging fruit.”
I agree with everything said in their interview as both men are highly educated, passionate about liberty, and are using their platforms to promote equal freedoms but not guaranteed outcomes for all.
I also reject the Systemic Racism claims, as, over the past few decades, black Americans have increased in numbers in corporate leadership, increased business ownership, and achieved the highest political office in the land, Barak Obama, the first black President.
As Mr. Soewell has spoken about extensively, it’s not Systemic Racism holding back the black community; it’s most pressing issue statistically and practically, is the absence of the black fathers in their homes.
The traditional nuclear family has always provided the most stable home environment. With the father present to provide encouragement and discipline, the children have a considerably better chance of success.
Both men are asking their community to stop blaming, an artificial construct of the radical left, and focus on restoring the traditional family. Once rebuilt, the rest will fall in line.
The dissidents use fake names and turn off the video feed when they meet for secret Zoom calls. One wonders if they wear the classic glasses and nose with mustache mask just to be sure. They usually get together online to coordinate soccer practices and who’s going to bring the snacks to the next game, but now they get together covertly to strategize and come up with tactics. These folks could face serious repercussions, maybe even be canceled, if anyone found out that they were talking.
However, things have gotten so extreme that Zoom meetings, emails, and online IM’s just aren’t cutting it, so they decided one weekend to meet in person.
In a backyard of a four-bedroom house sat ten people who had the courage to make the trip and join the conclave. These were rebels and they had a cause. They are wealthy Los Angels parents, liberals if you will, who send their kids to Harvard-Westlake, the most prestigious private school in the city. And very expensive on top of it.
By standards of the Great Unwashed in the middle class, they’re wealthy and want for nothing but at the same time they appear pretty average by Harvard-Westlake standards. These are couples who both work and claim their success is by their education and not from inherited family wealth or by family connections. What they all came to realize that is causing them to meet and talk about in secret is that Harvard-Westlake which costs over $40,000 a year to send a child there is teaching their children that capitalism is evil.
As is all too common these days with the Woke Supremacy capitalism means white people and if capitalism is evil then so are white people.
These parents are saying that their children are afraid to speak up in class about the Marxist teachings of capitalism being evil, and they are most frightened about what’s going to happen when the school starts to implement programs to make it an “anti-racist institution” when back in July they read a 20-page document entitled “Anti-Racism at Harvard-Westlake School” that is set to make their children obsess on race and add importance to it in ways that they find horrifying.
“I grew up in L.A., and the Harvard School definitely struggled with diversity issues. The stories some have expressed since the summer seem totally legitimate,” one of the fathers shared. The parent said he has no problem with the school trying to remedy past wrongs when it comes to prior diversity issues, including bringing more minority voices and issues into the curriculum, but he definitely has a problem with the same school teaching his children that America is a systemically bad place and that his kids carry racial guilt collectively.
In other words, a school that they pay $40,000 a year to send their children to is telling their kids that capitalism, which is what allows their parents to afford such an expensive education in the first place, is inherently bad and that their white children are guilty of racism simply because they are white.
You can put as much lipstick on that pig as you want but it’s still racism.
RACISM: a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human racial groups determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one’s own race is superior and has the right to dominate others or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.
Harvard-Westlake, among other things, is guilty of the latter part of Webster’s definition of racism. The school is trying to shame white children into believing they are inferior to other students because they are inherently racist due to the color of their skin.
These kids’ civil rights are being violated. They are being treated differently because of the color of their skin.
“They are making my son feel like a racist because of the pigmentation of his skin,” one mother says. Pigmentation sounds like one of those fancy words an educated white person would say that is rrrrrrraaaaaaaciiiiiist.
Another parent asks the group, “How does focusing a spotlight on race fix how kids talk to one another? Why can’t they just all be Wolverines?”
This Harvard-Westlake group of parents is only one of many quietly organizing around the country to combat an ideological movement that has completely taken over schools. Nobody wants to be called a racist, and the Woke Supremacy uses that to their advantage by setting things up so if you disagree with the Supremacy in any way shape, or form you are labeled a racist. And folks, this is a school in blue-saturated California.
And it’s not just in California and it’s not just parents who are noticing this takeover of our youth by indoctrination into Marxist progressivism. In New York, a teacher spoke out about what’s going on.
“I am in a cult. Well, that’s not exactly right. It’s that the cult is all around me and I am trying to save kids from becoming members.” He sounds like he escaped from a Heaven’s Gate meeting, but he is actually a math teacher at one of the top elite high schools in New York City, and e is a liberal. “I studied critical theory; I saw Derrida speak when I was in college,” he said, “so when this ideology arrived at our school over the past few years, I recognized the language and I knew what it was. But it was in a mutated form.”
This teacher is speaking out because he is very concerned by the toll this ideology is taking on his students. “I started seeing what was happening to the kids. And that’s what I couldn’t take. They are being educated in resentment and fear. It’s extremely dangerous.”
Is there anyone who will officially start fighting back before it’s too late? Marxists always indoctrinate the children because they figure it’s easier to indoctrinate them into their radical ideology before they experience too much real-world wisdom.
This sounds an awful lot like cancel culture in tech these days in that everything is in the details, the little fine print that defines the terms of service that gives the Woke Supremacy the power to force you to accept their way. It’s their way or the highway.
“The school can ask you to leave for any reason,” a mother at Brentwood said of a child attending a Los Angeles prep school. “Then you’ll be blacklisted from all the private schools and you’ll be known as a racist, which is worse than being called a murderer.”
I said all along that the rich white liberals will be the downfall of our society and I was right. I also said the liberalism that they pushed for and the leftist causes they gave money to support will one day come back and bite them in their liberal white a**. I was right about that too.
The Burbank Unified School District of Burbank, California instructed its teachers to suspend teaching five books pending a review after parents complained that the books inspire racism among students.
The school board made the decision to temporarily remove the books from its curriculum while they review challenges from a group of four parents (three of whom are black).
The announcement was made to the district’s middle and high school teachers in a virtual meeting on September 9th. The following books have been temporarily suspended from the curriculum:
Harper Lee’s “To Kill A Mockingbird”
Mark Twain’s “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”
John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice And Men”
Theodore Taylor’s “The Cay”
Mildred D. Taylor’s “Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry”
Four of the five authors were white. Mildred D. Taylor is a Newberry Award-winning African-American author.
The parents who have raised problems with the books cite concerns about the racial slurs in the books as well as the “white-savior story line” such as can be found in “Huckleberry Finn” and “To Kill A Mockingbird.”
Carmenita Helligar is one of the parents challenging the inclusion of these books in school curriculum after her daughter, Destiny, was targeted by other students. Destiny told her mother that a student approached her and called her a racial slur that the student allegedly learned from “Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.”
“My daughter was literally traumatized,” Helligar said. “These books are problematic…you feel helpless because you can’t even protect your child from the hurt that she’s going through.”
Another parent, Nadra Ostrom, said, “The portrayal of Black people is mostly from the white perspective. There’s no counter-narrative to this Black person dealing with racism and a white person saving them.”
“The education that students are basically getting is that racism is something in the past,” Ostrom continued. “And that’s not the conversation that we should be having in 2020. …Unless teachers have been specifically trained to teach these texts through an antiracist lens, they are probably reinforcing racism rather than dismantling it.”
Helligar agrees, saying that she “believes the core message being taught is that racism is an artifact of history.”
But many students as well as free speech advocates disagree, calling these books powerful stories that inspire students to think about America’s history with racism and its implications for the present.
Sophomore Sungjoo Yoon launched a petition on October 22nd to protest the banning of the books. As of November 11th, it’s been signed by over 2,600 people.
Around 80 students have personally written to the district in protest.
The Los Angeles Times tells the stories of many students who were positively impacted by reading books like “Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry”.
Both the National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC) and PEN America have urged the district to continue teaching the books.
“(W)e believe that the books…have a great pedagogical value and should be retained in the curriculum,” wrote the NCAC.
“In a year when we have seen a national movement against systemic racial injustice,” wrote PEN, “it is crucial to bring these subjects into the classroom with care and sensitivity, which teachers are well-equipped to do. Blocking engagement with these important books is also avoiding the important role that schools can and should play in providing context for why these books inspire and challenge us still today.”
“We understand that this ban may have been proposed with good intentions,” PEN continued. “But banning books is not the answer.”
California’s Orange County is the newest to consider joining the long list of counties to declare racism a public health emergency.
Eighty-three cities and counties, across nineteen states, have passed such resolutions pointing to systemic racism as a root cause of health problems that disproportionately affect minorities.
According to experts supporting these resolutions, disparities found in the health and well-being of different ethnic communities is a direct result of systemic racism.
Dr. Ravi Kavasery, a physician with AltaMed Health Services, serving the Orange County and Los Angeles communities, told the Orange County Register that patients “are scared to seek medical care because of policies such as the ‘public charge’ rule.”
The “public charge” rule is a factor the Department of Homeland Security uses to determine whether immigrants seeking permanent resident status are likely to become dependent on governmental assistance.
Dr. Kavasery asserted in his statement that the rule “actively discourages immigrants and people of color from seeking medical care. It’s an excellent example that shows the link between systemic racism and public health. You see unequal access and health outcomes.”
Paula Tran Inzeo, director of Mobilizing Action Toward Community Health with the Population Health Institute at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, explained that the “toxic stress they experience due to racism and discrimination puts their bodies in a constant state of fighting. They get sick sooner and stay sick longer.”
Milwaukee County was the first U.S. county to declare racism a public health crisis over a year ago in May of 2019 .
Both King County and Pierce County in Washington State passed resolutions back in June of this year.
In the Board of Health of King County’s resolution, they stated their commitment to address “institutional and systemic racism”, to create policies “with a racial justice and equity lens” and committed themselves to continual education and involvement in antiracist work.
The King County resolution reads in part:
“racism harms every person in our society and is the root cause of poverty and economic inequality…”
“we recognize that historically and currently King County has been complicit in maintaining and perpetuating structural racism, and that as an institution the Board of Health must stand in support of dismantling oppressive systems grounded in white supremacy.”
These resolutions have seen pushback. The Inland Empire Citizens Action Committee and Foothill Taxpayers Association – located in Southern California -wrote a memorandum calling the resolutions “Collectivist/Marxist rhetoric”.
“If racism is defined as systemic or structural,” the memorandum read, “the narrative is set in stone to demand reparations from the current generation to the current generation of blacks and people of color. Defining it as systemic indicts the entire nation for the sins of past generations without a trial.”
After the NBA announced Thursday they will be returning next month several NBA players announced Friday they may sit the rest of the season out.
According to heavy.,
Avery Bradley and Dwight Howard were among the players to speak up in Friday’s galvanizing conference call about the season restarting with more than 80 other players, including NBPA Vice President Kyrie Irving, NBPA president Chris Paul, Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony.
On Fridays call Irving said, “I’m not with the systematic racism and the bull- Something smells a little fishy. Whether we want to admit it or not, we are targeted as black men every day we wake up.”
Kyrie Irving told NBA players on call Friday, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA@Stadium: “I don’t support going into Orlando. I’m not with the systematic racism and the bullshit. Something smells a little fishy.”
Howard voiced thinks that getting the games started again will become a distraction from the issues the country is facing through the protests against police brutality and racism in policing following the death of George Floyd.
Another NBA player, Adrian Wojnarowski: said “Once we start playing basketball again, the news will turn from systemic racism to ‘who did what’ in the game last night. It’s a crucial time for us to be able to play and blend that to impact what’s happening in our communities.”
But LeBron James seems to be on a different page than his teammates. And why wouldn’t he be, his team was favored to be in the championship this year.
LeBron James did not join the player’s call on Friday.
According to a separate article by heavy., The Atheltic’s Sam Amick, says James believes that playing won’t affect his ability to help:
So with so many fellow players focused on those very issues, and wondering aloud whether the magnitude of this Black Lives Matter moment means they might be better off making a difference at home, why wouldn’t he join this particular chat that was led by his old co-star who is now a vice president for the National Basketball Players Association, the Brooklyn Nets’ Kyrie Irving?
Because sources say James, whose Lakers have as good a chance at the title as any of the 22 teams invited to Walt Disney World, believes playing in Orlando won’t deter his ability to continue inspiring change.
He wants to keep making his mark off the court. He wants to play basketball. And as has always been the case, he clearly believes he can do both at the same time.
Could this drive fans away from the NBA?
There are already millions of people boycotting businesses like Starbucks, Amazon, and L’oreal for not remaining neutral in these escalated times.
Sports have always been a great unifier. It’s a shame they don’t see that. Instead, they are allowing the devil to use them as another tool to divide the country.
House Democrats announced their intention to create new legislation to tackle systemic racism and patterns of violence against African Americans. This package is in response to the killing of an unarmed black man by Minneapolis police exactly two weeks ago.
Rumor has it that the legislation will center around criminal justice reform, but will seek to address racial disparities well outside the realm of law enforcement, like health care, education and environmental justice.
This moment is almost too good to be true for Democrats. While most of the cities plagued with complaints of police brutality come from Democrat ran states, these Democrats are coming together to try to save the day.
The first two years of Obama presidency the Democrats had control of both chambers. They failed to address any of these issues then. But President Trump worked with democrat Van Jones to pass prison reform. Something Van Jones admitted should have been done by the Democrats.
The only reason they are working to do it now is that they want the minority vote in November.
