Social Media Deplatforming Will Soon Be a Crime In The Sunshine State

Social Media Deplatforming Will Soon Be a Crime In The Sunshine State

Florida is working to pass one of the toughest laws in the country that would permanently prohibit Big Tech social media companies from “deplatforming” Floridians on social media. This is reminiscent of a law that Poland recently created where they fine social media companies that censor posts of legal content. What a concept, right?

The Sunshine State’s legislature last week voted overwhelmingly to advance Senate Bill 7072 that will criminalize the banning or removal of any Florida political candidate. This amazing crackdown on tech tyrant censorship passed in the House by a 77-38 vote and in the Senate with 23-17.

According to the current version of the bill, social media platforms that violate the new law would be hit with a daily fine of $250,000 for the deplatforming of any statewide candidate for public office. The original amount was set at $100,000 in the Senate version of the legislation and was raised later by an amendment was passed by the House. The tech tyrants are filthy rich, but no one wants to pay a million dollars in fines every four days.

If social media platforms continue to remove or ban candidates, they would be hit with an additional fine of $25,000 for each political candidate that is deplatformed.

For some odd reason, the fines won’t apply to 14-day suspensions. And now you know that they will suspend Republican candidates for 14 days, free them from social media prison for a day, and then ban them again for another 14 days. The companies are run by leftists who have an activist agenda that goes beyond their stockholders.

“This bill is not about President Trump,” Republican State Representative John Snyder said to losers who trashed the bill, claiming it was nothing more than retaliation against the tech tyrants who banned the former president. “This bill is about the 22 million Floridians and their First Amendment rights.”

The Left has hidden behind the argument that censorship by the leftist tech tyrants of social media was not a violation of the First Amendment’s right to Free Speech, because the First Amendment is only for the government. Being corporations, the fascists who run Big Tech were well within their rights to censor anyone they don’t like. They have cleverly written terms of service agreements that members must agree to in order to be allowed on the platform, and they are written so that the companies can ban or censor anyone for pretty much any reason they see fit. And the punishments are arbitrary. I have been suspended on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube for things I have no idea what I did wrong. And they never tell you. They just say that you have violated their terms of service without explaining how.

“What this bill is about is sending a loud message to Silicon Valley that they are not the absolute arbiters of truth,” Republican state Representative John Snyder reportedly said on Wednesday. “What this bill does is send a loud message that the Constitution does not have an asterisk that says only certain speech is free and protected.”

Florida’s state legislature’s action to set limitations on social media tech tyrant’s censorship practices comes after Governor Ron DeSantis first mentioned the idea of imposing fines on social media companies who ban or remove political candidates during a West Palm Beach speech in February. They are interfering in elections when they do that, and we can’t have that if we’re going to at least try to save our republic.

I’m hoping that eventually the law will include regular users but for now Floridians can rely on those they want to represent them will not be banned from the public square.

After the House added amendments to the current version of the bill, it was sent back to the Florida Senate for approval. Then, it’s off to the governor’s desk and DeSantis has indicated that he will sign it.

Vulnerable House Democrats Pondering Looming Potential Exits Threatens Nancy Pelosi’s Majority in Midterms

Vulnerable House Democrats Pondering Looming Potential Exits Threatens Nancy Pelosi’s Majority in Midterms

For a variety of reasons, Nancy Pelosi’s House majority is on shaky ground.

Because of redistricting and the new census, the Republicans are expected to pick up the majority in the House in 2022.

That, along with some high-profile resignations and House members who have decided to try for higher office, the Democrats are in real danger of losing seats.

I expect Pelosi to announce that she will not run again since she will lose the Speaker’s job.

Charlie Crist is expected to make a run for governor against the popular Ron DeSantis. Rep.

Cheri Bustos (D-IL) is retiring after barely winning reelection in 2020.

Pennsylvania Democrats Reps. Conor Lamb and Chrissy Houlahan are both considering Senate races.

Sen Pat Toomey, a weak-kneed Republican has decided against running again. Earlier this year, Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (D-AZ) and Rep. Filemon Vela (D-TX) announced their intent to retire.

From Breitbart News

Frontline Democrat Rep. Stephanie Murphy (FL) has also been “seriously” considering a Senate bid in hopes of unseating Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) in 2022. Murphy previously announced, “she’s launching a statewide listening tour and has hired a top Democrat operative to manage the effort.” Breitbart News has previously reported Murphy seeing a flood of corporate cash into her campaign from big multinational companies with deep ties in China on her recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings.

Another Florida Democrat, Rep. Val Demings, is considering vacating her seat and campaigning against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R). Currently, the Florida Democrat Party is in “shambles” before state redistricting. A source close to the Democrat told Politico “At this point, it’s more likely than not that she does run.”

Vulnerable Democrat Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (TX) has been hammered by the Republican campaign arm, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). Recently, Breitbart News broke the story of Gonzalez holding more than $100,000 with the Bank of China, a state-owned organ of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). After the initial report by Breitbart News, Gonzalez closed the account. The NRCC released ads hitting the Democrat for his suspicious behavior.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis Slams Systemic Racism as ‘Horse Manure,’ Says Critical Race Theory is ‘Race-Based Marxism’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis Slams Systemic Racism as ‘Horse Manure,’ Says Critical Race Theory is ‘Race-Based Marxism’

If Donald Trump doesn’t run in 2024 then Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis would be the next best thing as he is conservative from his core and he says what he means and means what he said.

During an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham on Thursday, DeSantis gave little room for doubt about how he thinks of the use of the term “systemic racism” and the racist “critical race theory” that the Marxists are trying to teach America’s children in schools. The Florida governor dismissed both as racist Marxist nonsense.

Ingraham was doing a “Red State Trailblazers” town hall to feature Republican governors who defied the lies of Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden, and the entire Fake News industry over the COVID pandemic, which isn’t even a pandemic anymore, and reopened their states. The guests included DeSantis, Governor Greg Abbott of Texas, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, Governor Tate Reeves of Mississippi, and Governor Pete Ricketts from Nebraska.

Ingraham asked the Florida governor if he thought the United States is a systemically racist country. DeSantis

Ingraham asked DeSantis if he believed that the United States is a systemically racist country, to which he unashamedly responded, “Well, it’s a bunch of horse manure. I mean, give me a break.”

“This country has had more opportunity for more people than any country in the history of the world and it doesn’t matter where you trace your ancestry from,” DeSantis said, adding, “We’ve had people that have been able to succeed.”

DeSantis went on to expose critical race theory.

“And here’s the problem with things like critical race theory that they’re peddling,” DeSantis said. “They’re basically saying all our institutions are bankrupt, and they’re, they’re illegitimate. How do you have a society if everything in your society is illegitimate?”

The answer is you can’t. DeSantis was spot on.

In March, DeSantis said that he would purge critical race theory from public schools in Florida because critical race theory’s ideology isn’t worth “one red cent of taxpayer money.”

“Let me be clear, there’s no room in our classrooms for things like critical race theory,” DeSantis said. “Teaching kids to hate their country and to hate each other is not worth one red cent of taxpayer money. So we will invest in actual, solid, true curriculum and we will be a leader in the development and implementation of a world-class civics education.”

Critical race theory and systemic racism are terms used to blame the failures of black people when an actual racist is nowhere to be found to blame the failure on. They used to call it “institutional racism.”

DeSantis was also asked about biological women’s sports being protected from progressive yahoos trying to force people suffering from a mental illness to ruin sports for girls and women.

“I have a 4-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old daughter, and they’re very athletic,” he said. “And we want to have opportunities for our girls. They deserve an even playing field. And that’s what we’re doing.”

For liberals reading this, what we mean when we saying we want our girls to have opportunities that are taken away from them with the transgender movement we’re talking about girls losing athletic scholarships because biological males are beating them in sports when they shouldn’t be allowed to compete in the first place. I mean, how crazy is our society now?

The Florida governor has said he will sign the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act, which will rightfully block males from competing on women’s school sports teams.

DeSantis also banned vaccine passports in The Sunshine State.

“I’m proud to be the first I think, elected official in the country, certainly statewide or governor to say, we’re not having vaccine passports in the State of Florida,” DeSantis said. “And not just saying government can’t make you, private businesses can’t make you. Because here’s the thing, you have a right to participate in society, without them asking you to divulge this type of health information, but just to go to a movie, just to go to a ballgame.”

Former President Donald Trump earlier this week said he may run again in 2024 and that he would “certainly” consider Ron DeSantis as his running mate. That would be a powerhouse team!

“He is a friend of mine. Certainly, Ron would be considered,” Trump said. “I endorsed Ron, and after I endorsed him, he took off like a rocket ship. He’s done a great job as governor. They like that. I’m just saying what I read and you read. They love that ticket.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Biden Threats of Reinstating Lockdowns: ‘That’s not gonna happen in the state of Florida’

President Joe Biden gave a speech on his totalitarian COVID-19 policies where he said if Americans don’t behave the way he wants them to the lockdowns will become federal and strictly enforced.  You forgot you lived in America for a minute.  This did not sit well with many people who have been abused and used as political props to usher in a new reset of socialist policies that will harm the rest of the country while making Democrats and their elitist friends happy.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) condemned Biden’s threat of possibly bringing back COVID lockdowns. The governor promised that he would not put his state back in coronavirus pandemic lockdowns.

During Biden’s presidential address to the nation, where he picked the one-year anniversary of the start of the COVID-19 lockdowns, he threatened that the United States could reestablish shutdowns if Americans “don’t stay vigilant.”  Who the hell does he think he is to threaten states this way?  The president does not have the authority to do anything like forcing lockdowns on states.

“Unity is what we do together as fellow Americans, because if we don’t stay vigilant and the conditions change, then we may have to reinstate restrictions to get back on track,” Biden said on Thursday.

“Please, we don’t want to do that again. We’ve made so much progress,” Biden added. “This is not the time to let up, just as we were emerging from a dark winter into a hopeful spring and summer is not the time to not stick with the rules.”

Mark this down, because I think the Biden administration wants to keep us in lockdown forever, and Biden is simply planting the seed to make it appear that he’s being reasonable by saying it’s all up to us whether or not he’s going to punish the American people with more lockdowns.  The number of civil liberties that have been violated so far put us on par with the now-defunct Soviet Union.

DeSantis, who was one of the first governors to reopen his state, trashed Biden’s idea of reinstating lockdown measures.

During a press conference, DeSantis said, “To even contemplate doing any type of lockdown, honestly it’s insane.”   Well, look who he’s talking about.

The Florida governor then made a promise to the residents and small businesses of his state that he would not close the state down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“That’s not gonna happen in the state of Florida,” DeSantis said. “We’re gonna continue doing what works, but under no circumstances would we entertain anything of the sort.”

Governor DeSantis also said the state is decreasing the age for being eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine this month to 55.

“We will be doing 55 this month for sure,” DeSantis said without giving a specific date. The age for vaccine eligibility is already set to drop to age 60 by Monday, according to the Florida Times-Union.

DeSantis blasted Biden last month for his coronavirus hypocrisy of pushing the idea of a domestic travel ban on the state of Florida, while at the same time he has opened our southern border to allow tens of thousands of migrants into our country without testing any of them for COVID.

The Florida governor referred to Biden as a “lockdowner.”

Biden was also criticized for telling Americans during his first primetime speech that if we behave we just might be allowed to gather in small groups to celebrate the Fourth of July, otherwise known ironically as Independence Day.

“If we do all this, if we do our part, if we do this together, by July the Fourth, there’s a good chance, you, your families and friends will be able to get together in your back yard or in your neighborhood and have a cookout and a barbecue and celebrate Independence Day,” Biden said in his speech. “That doesn’t mean large events with lots of people together, but it does mean small groups will be able to get together.”

National Guard Troops Allowed Back into Capitol Aftger Being Pushed into Cold Parking Garage, the Optics Were Not Good For Democrats

National Guard Troops Allowed Back into Capitol Aftger Being Pushed into Cold Parking Garage, the Optics Were Not Good For Democrats

National Guard troops who were moved into the nation’s Capitol, pretty much for Democrat-created hyperbolic theater were “banished” to a small parking garage after doing their duty to protect Washington, DC, in the aftermath of the Capitol building riots, have been allowed back into the US Capitol.

On Thursday, the Guard said in a statement, “Brig. Gen. Janeen Birckhead, Inauguration Task Force Commander confirms that troops are out of the garage and back into the Capitol building as authorized by the USCP (U.S. Capitol Police) Watch Commander and the troops will take their breaks near Emancipation Hall going forward.”

Fox News reported that because of the disgusting way the troops were treated the governors of Florida, New Hampshire, and Texas decided they were recalling their Guard members and bringing them home.

Images of the troops sitting around the Thurgood Marshall Judicial Center garage floating around the Internet brought some outrage from lawmakers, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who called the move “outrageous.”  I’m just wondering if Schumer suddenly became outraged after it was reported that Donald Trump gave the troops permission to stay at the DC Trump International Hotel, and the Democrats could not have that.

Since the Democrats fixed the optics hoping their blunder will go away, the Trump International Hotel is still allowing law enforcement to stay in the hotel.

Yet some of the members of the National Guard when asked by reporters who put them in the garage situation said that they heard that “some senator” saw them inside the Capitol building and wanted to get rid of them because having military personnel there seemed unsightly.

Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), an Iraq War veteran, said in a tweet: “Just made a number of calls and have been informed Capitol Police have apologized to the Guardsmen and they will be allowed back into the complex tonight. I’ll keep checking to make sure they are.”

After midnight, she added: “Troops are now all out of the garage. Now I can go to bed.”

Capitol Police on Thursday had asked the National Guard to move their troops out of the building after they started using it to rest during their shifts to protect the very people who had them moved out, according to Major Matt Murphy a National Guard Bureau spokesman.

“As Congress is in session and increased foot traffic and business is being conducted, Capitol Police asked the troops to move their rest area,” Murphy said. “They were temporarily relocated to the Thurgood Marshall Judicial Center garage with heat and restroom facilities.”

According to Fox News on Friday, Acting Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman argued against that assertion.

“I want to assure everyone that, with the exception of specific times on Inauguration Day itself while the swearing-in ceremonies were underway, the United States Capitol police did not instruct the National Guard to vacate the Capitol Building facilities,” Pittman said.

“And on Inauguration Day, the Guard was notified and encouraged to reoccupy the spaces in the Capitol and CVC at 2 p.m.,” she continued.

Pittman then added,  “It was brought to our attention early today that facility management with the Thurgood Marshall Judicial Office Building reached out directly to the National Guard to offer use of its facilities.”

A National Guard Bureau spokesperson on Friday said, “We remain an agile and flexible force to provide for the safety and security of the Capitol and its surrounding areas. Our troops are going to hotel rooms or other comfortable accommodations at the end of their shifts.”  What else are they going to say?

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) said he decided to bring his troops back home.  The governor took to social media to make the announcement.

“Last night, I ordered our Adjutant General to bring Florida National Guard soldiers home from the National Capital Region.”

DeSantis also said on “Fox & Friends” that the giant effort to protect the Capitol was a “half-cocked mission at this point” pointing out that the Democrats started doing background checks of National Guard troops over their political ideology ahead of the inauguration.  They didn’t even wait for Biden to be sworn in before they started insulting the troops.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R), who also had aired complaints about background checks for the troops and tweeted out his response to the insult.

“I have instructed General Norris to order the return of the Texas National Guard to our state. @TexasGuard

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu (R) has also said that he too is recalling his state’s National Guard.

“I’ve ordered the immediate return of all New Hampshire National Guard from Washington DC. They did an outstanding job serving our nation’s capital in a time of strife and should be graciously praised, not subject to substandard conditions. @NHNationalGuard

The Capitol Police gave a statement on Friday claiming that it “immensely appreciates” the National Guard’s assistance.  Then why did they move them into a cold parking garage?  Because they were told to, probably by a Sergeant at Arms, who was told by either Chuck Schumer (D-NY) or Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), because the Sergeant at Arms from both chambers of Congress report to the House Speaker and Senate Majority Leader.

“The United States Capitol Police immensely appreciates the integral support of the U.S. National Guard in helping to secure the Capitol Complex leading up to, and including the Inaugural ceremony. The Department is grateful for their service and our strong partnership during this time,” it said.

Governor Ron DeSantis Vows to Put an End to the Censorship of Conservative Ideas

Governor Ron DeSantis Vows to Put an End to the Censorship of Conservative Ideas

I have heard a lot of talk about who could replace Trump on the Republican ticket should Donald Trump decide not to run in 2024.

The pickings are thin but there is one person who might be able to win the nomination and the presidency and no one can deny he isn’t a fighter. His name is Ron DeSantis and he is the extremely effective governor of Florida.

DeSantis would be a lock in the swing state of Florida and that will allow him to concentrate much less time in Florida and much more in the other swing states.

If we start with the pandemic, we can see how he fought to keep his state open and even went so far as to prevent liberal mayors from imposing Draconian regulations to close down their cities.

As a result, the pandemic was less severe in Florida and the state was able to weather the storm without the crippling debt that Mario Cuomo’s little boy and governors Gretchen Whitmer and Gavin Newsome inflicted upon their states.

Now, in what is the biggest issue facing this country in my opinion, Big Tech censorship, DeSantis is taking the lead.

Florida has strict discrimination laws and Gov DeSantis plans on using those laws against the Masters of the Universe. While it is obvious that nationally nothing will happen for at least four years unless Parler wins its lawsuit, states have the ability to act.

What if states were to ban Big Tech from operating in their states should they discriminate against conservative speech?

Florida is the third-largest state and I would believe that would cut into their profits. And the second-largest state is Texas. They could easily follow the lead of Florida. That would have to cut into their profits not to mention all of the lost revenue for advertising for companies within those states.

From PJ Media

Speaking at an event for the Texas Public Policy Foundation in Austin, Texas, in the wake of the social media app Parler being completely shut down by Big Tech, DeSantis said:

“We need to really think deeply about if we are a disfavored class based on our principles, based on having conservative views, based on being a Christian, based on whatever you can say that is not favored in Silicon Valley,” DeSantis said during a speech before a crowd of conservatives in Austin, Tx. Later, he added: “I think it’s probably the most important legislative issue that we’re going to have to get right this year and next year.”

This is exactly correct. The pretext for taking down Parler was events on January 6th at the Capitol were organized on that platform. Later reports clearly demonstrated they were also organized on Facebook and Twitter, but Parler has not been restored, increasing the speculation that the move was anti-competitive and political.

Beyond the current drive for censorship online, some commentators suggest eliminating Fox News, OANN, and Newsmax from cable providers. Others favor pulling podcasts and YouTube channels using the riot at the Capitol as a pretext to color everything to the right of CNN as far-right and capable of inciting violence.

Activist ‘Scientist’, Rebekah Jones, in Florida Gives Far Left Office Holders Cover to Overthrow State Government

The news went viral on Monday about a poor little woman who did nothing wrong when mean old law enforcement came and almost killed her and put guns in her innocent children’s faces, in Florida, for being a heroine and trying to save people from dying the streets over an illness that could be easily prevented.

“They pointed a gun in my face. They pointed guns at my kids,” Jones tweeted including footage she felt supported her claims.  She tweeted: “They took my phone and the computer I use every day to post the case numbers in Florida, and school cases for the entire country. They took evidence of corruption at the state level. They claimed it was about a security breach. This was DeSantis. He sent the Gestapo.”

Political theater meant to shape public opinion and sway radical left “lawmakers” or give them cover for going around their legal authority to get what they want, looks like this:

And she was immediately promoting an appearance on TV with a far let radical talk show host:

Except that is not really what happened.

The story begins with an activist. The activist has an agenda and has a background in progressive leftist community organizing. The activist has gotten a background in the left’s special kind of “science”. T.”t science demands urgency because the world is melting down now, and so it is a “science” which does not have to wait for Constitutional lawmaking measures to control people and to change policies and laws.

The activist does not agree with duly elected Republican Governor De Santis, and she has different ideas on how to run the state.

The special leftist “science” does not have to wait on the scientific method, it is conveniently bombastic, emotional and fast.

Evan Donovan reported on the Rebekah Jones story and said:

“This morning FDLE served a search warrant at a residence on Centerville Court in Tallahassee, the home of Rebekah Jones. FDLE began an investigation on November 10, 2020 after receiving a complaint from the Department of Health regarding unauthorized access to a Department of Health messaging system which is part of an emergency alert system, to be used for emergencies only. Agents believe someone at the residence on Centerville Court illegally accessed the system.

“When agents arrived, they knocked on the door and called Ms. Jones in an attempt to minimize disruption to the family. Ms. Jones refused to come to the door for 20 minutes and hung-up on agents. After several attempts and verbal notifications.

that law enforcement officers were there to serve a legal search warrant, Ms. Jones eventually came to the door and allowed agents to enter. Our investigation is active As in all cases, our role is to determine the facts of what happened and a State Attorney determines whether or not charges are filed.”

A a radical far left climate change activist and lawmaker takes the bait:

The COVID Pandemic has been hugely successful for the left to make massive and historic changes to our civil liberties, without opposition and get it done very quickly.

Consider how a “Veteran for Biden” is using the political theater for his own promotion,:

Florida Gov. DeSantis calls out other governors for ‘draconian’ lockdowns: ‘You’re not a dictator’

Florida Gov. DeSantis calls out other governors for ‘draconian’ lockdowns: ‘You’re not a dictator’

In Fox and Friends interview, Gov. of Florida Ron DeSantis said that some governors have implemented “really draconian, arbitrary restrictions” during the coronavirus outbreak, saying, “You don’t have unlimited authority and people do have rights.”

He went on to say “I don’t think any governor has the authority to restrict anyone unless there’s a direct relationship to combating this virus,” DeSantis said in response, cautioning governors against acting like a “dictator.”

“If you look around the country, clearly there have been examples of really draconian, arbitrary restrictions that have nothing to do with public health, like you can’t plant a seed in your front yard in your garden, you can’t walk around the neighborhood with your daughter or something like that.”

If you have been paying attention we have seen people arrested while playing with their kids at parks, seeds being covered up or removed from shelves so people can’t buy them, or a barber who had his business license revoked because he wanted to reopen his barbershop.

Citizens need to pay attention to who these governors are and remember that these governors forgot who they were working for when we needed them the most.

By Talia Kaplan | Fox News

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had a message on Thursday for other governors who have implemented “really draconian, arbitrary restrictions” during the coronavirus outbreak, saying, “You don’t have unlimited authority and people do have rights.”

DeSantis made the comments on “Fox & Friends” in response to a question from host Ainsley Earhardt, who asked if he thinks that “some of these governors that are just doing a one-size-fits-all for the entire state” are “being too strict and going too far.”

“I don’t think any governor has the authority to restrict anyone unless there’s a direct relationship to combating this virus,” DeSantis said in response, cautioning governors against acting like a “dictator.”

“If you look around the country, clearly there have been examples of really draconian, arbitrary restrictions that have nothing to do with public health, like you can’t plant a seed in your front yard in your garden, you can’t walk around the neighborhood with your daughter or something like that.”

“So some of this stuff I think has devolved into social control,” DeSantis continued. “I think absolutely it’s gotten out of hand.”

He went on to note that in Florida “we did not do that.”

“We were reasonable,” DeSantis said. “We trusted the people to act appropriately and we’ve had better results than some of the states that you’ve seen.”
