Mitch McConnell has been bashing President Trump but when it comes time to raise money, how does he go about it? By using his name to get people to open their wallets to a group he is the head of. After all, who would give a three-dollar bill and a dozen wooden nickels to someone named Mitch? As in Schumer’s biotch. Personally, I would rather flush a few hundred down the toilet before I would give a dime to McConnell.

Notice that the money is going to the National Republican Senatorial Committee. That puts McConnell in charge of doling out the money and President Trump never sees a dime of it. nor would any of his favored candidates. This ad is an admission that the party belongs to Trump and not Kevin McCarthy or Mitch McConnell. McConnell knows it, too. That’s why his name does not appear anywhere in the ad.
Don’t be fooled. Only give money directly to Trump’s PAC or directly to candidates that swear they will vote against McConnell for the leader of the Senate GOP. If Trump decides to run in 2024, he will need real conservatives in Congress, not the establishment wing of the party,, eager to go along to get along with the Democrats. President Trump fought the establishment GOP for four years. Let’s make his next four easier to work with.
The Nelson County Republican Party wrote Senator Mitch McConnell on Tuesday demanding he immediately resign from his leadership position in the Senate.
This is the direct result of McConnell’s op-ed blasting Donald Trump.
In Kentucky, McConnell now has an approval rating of just 18%.
It’s not as bad as Liz Cheney’s 13%, but that is like saying that syphilis is better than AIDS. It’s true but still not good.
Three more counties have called for McConnell to step down as Minority leader.
The odds of him doing that are slim since the higher position he holds the more money he will make from China.
It is unlikely he could win another term in the Senate and there is a good chance he will lose his position after the 2022 midterm elections, especially if Trump is the kingmaker I expect him to be.
i suspect that Republicans running for the Senate will have to take a stand on whether they would vote to retain McConnell as Republican leader.
It will be politically wise to just say no to McConnell. Nelson County Chairman Don Thrasher pointed out McConnell’s “complete and total disdain for the will of your constituents” for the reason for the letter.
Nelson county was joined by Butler, Simpson, and Hart Counties.
On Monday night, Sean Hannity tore to shreds Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell on his show for the outrageous condemnation of former President Donald Trump after he was acquitted a second time during a rigged and highly unprofessional impeachment mess on Saturday.
McConnell voted to acquit Donald Trump and then proceeded to castigate him over the riot that happened at the Capitol on January 6. A lot of people feel that McConnell was trying to play to both sides of the aisle.
During his speech, McConnell accused Trump of being morally responsible for the riot that broke out and said that the only reason he voted to acquit the president was that it is unconstitutional to try a president who has already left office.
McConnell then doubled down writing on Monday, “There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone.”
How can people like McConnell, who has to have access to a television, not realize that it has already come out that the FBI gave warnings to him and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi days before the January 6 event that they had credible intelligence that there was going to be an attack with violence at the Capitol? How come neither Sgt at Arms for the House nor the Senate accepted help from the National Guard that was offered by President Trump says before January 6 and multiple times? According to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, the president offered up to 10,000 National Guard troops to protect that Capitol and the entire DC area, and each time his offers were rebuked.
“His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended,” he claimed.
McConnell said he had no ill will against the seven turncoat Republican senators who voted to convict Trump, but 74 million Americans who voted for Trump do.
Can we get something straight? Donald Trump did not incite the riot. There’s just too much evidence showing the contrary, and it’s worthless idiots like McConnell who lend credence to the hateful Democrats who are exploiting what took place at the Capitol on January 6 in order to demoralize Trump supporters. It’s not going to happen, because, despite the efforts of the Trump haters, they know what happened. They know Trump was not the cause of the riot. The FBI also arrested many leftists who were caught plotting and pre-planning the riot days before it happened. How come the Mitch McConnells of the world keep ignoring that?
Hannity ripped on “Republicans who have turned their backs on the former president,” during his show. He called on the carpet “sanctimonious” McConnell and the other seven Republican nitwits in the Senate who joined the Democrats in trying to convict Trump for allegedly inciting the riot on Capitol Hill.
“Where was John Thune (R-SD) and Mitch McConnell fighting against the biggest abuse of power corruption scandal in our history with Operation Crossfire Hurricane?” Hannity asked. And he’s right. There were some Republican heroes who tried to stop the never-ending onslaught against Trump from the minute he became president, guys like Reps. Devin Nunes (R-CA), Jim Jordan (R-OH), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), and Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), but the majority of congressional Republicans let it happen. They did next to nothing to stop the lawlessness of Democrats who went after Trump in the most despicable ways.
“They were missing in action. Where’s the sanctimonious Mitch McConnell, John Thune, demanding that Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters — when is he going to give a speech on the Senate floor and hold those Democrats accountable for their incitement of insurrection and their insurrection-like language? The time is now coming for new leadership in the U.S. Senate.”
The Senate Republicans who voted to convict Trump that Hannity was talking about are Sens. Richard Burr (NC), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Bill Cassidy (LA), Susan Collins (ME), Mitt Romney (UT), Ben Sasse (NE), and Pat Toomey (PA). Tomey and Burr are retiring and Collins and Sasse just got reelected, but conservative Trump supporters have a long memory. Most of the useful idiots in that group are catching flack back home from their angry constituents.
Three of the Republican senators who voted to convict Trump during the impeachment trial have already been censured by the Republican Party in their states including Richard Burr, Bill Cassidy, and Pat Toomey.
According to a recent report, Mitch McConnell plans to use the power of his office to prevent Joe Biden from appointing a radical cabinet of far left kooks. This will extend to judges as well. If he becomes president, Joe Biden will have the right to nominate anyone he wishes to fill vacancies in his cabinet and on the federal bench. But the Senate is not obligated to give him a blank check.
Some of the possible appointments that McConnell would block include former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates and failed 2018 Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. You can add any member of the Squad, Maxine Waters, Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders.
“A source close to McConnell tells Axios a Republican Senate would work with Biden on centrist nominees but no ‘radical progressives’ or ones who are controversial with conservatives. The Biden agenda would be severely restricted by GOP control, the source added: ‘It’s going to be armed camps.’”
McConnell has allegedly said he is willing to work with Biden on centrist nominees but that he will not allow Biden to appoint radicals into the new administration. Democrats could try to turn this into a food fight but considering how their radical agenda played out in the elections, I can’t see them making it worse.
Biden will not be helped by the midterm Senate elections as there are only one or two possible pick ups for the Democrats and a half a dozen for Republicans. Two years of a Biden/Harris administration won’t help vulnerable Democratic candidates in 2022. Two more years of riots won’t help either.
The outlet concluded that the dynamics of a split government could ultimately force Biden to take a centrist approach to his Cabinet picks should he win the election.
There is also speculation that such a scenario would give Biden an excuse not to give high-level jobs to far-left Democratic senators such as Sens. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.
Former Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken was linked by Axios to a potential State Department vacancy, while Federal Reserve Board of Governors member Lael Brainard was linked to a potential Treasury Department vacancy.
OPINION | Senate Republicans showed their coward side as they have passed the National Defense Authorization Act by a vote of 86 – 14 with only four Republicans dissenting.
President Donald Trump had threatened to veto the bill, championed by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, because it will change the names of military bases named for Confederate soldiers, Politico reported.
The Senate overwhelmingly passed its $741 billion defense policy legislation on Thursday, with the Republican-led body defying a threat from President Donald Trump to veto legislation that would force the removal of Confederate names from Army bases.
The Senate just passed the FY2021 National Defense Authorization Act, which includes critical investments in our nation's security, our veterans, and the well-being of Montanans.
I’m proud of the work we accomplished in the FY2021 #NDAA on behalf of our servicemembers, including securing the second consecutive pay raise of over 3%. This bipartisan legislation is a big win for North Carolina’s servicemembers and military families. https://t.co/CnSCvlyujW
Senators approved the National Defense Authorization Act in a 86-14 blowout. Both the House and Senate have passed bills this week with majorities large enough to overcome a veto from Trump.
Senate and House Armed Services Committee leaders will soon begin negotiations to hammer out the differences in their competing bills.
The measure would kick off a process forcing the Pentagon to scrub names, monuments and paraphernalia honoring the Confederacy and its leaders from military bases and assets over the next three years. The House defense bill passed Tuesday, would force the renaming of bases within a year.
The effort, sponsored by former presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), comes amid protests over systemic racism and policy brutality across the country. Ten Army bases are named for Confederate military leaders.
This came after the president spoke against the bill and threatened to veto it, but Thursday’s vote is veto proof.
“I will Veto the Defense Authorization Bill if the Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren (of all people!) Amendment, which will lead to the renaming (plus other bad things!) of Fort Bragg, Fort Robert E. Lee, and many other Military Bases from which we won Two World Wars, is in the Bill!” he said.
I will Veto the Defense Authorization Bill if the Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren (of all people!) Amendment, which will lead to the renaming (plus other bad things!) of Fort Bragg, Fort Robert E. Lee, and many other Military Bases from which we won Two World Wars, is in the Bill!
Surprisingly more Democrats voted against the NDAA than Republicans did in the final tally which was voted for by Senate Majority Leader and Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell.
Democrat Sen. Tim Kaine, the former running mate of Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, defended the legislation.
“Do you really expect us to believe that a society that continues to honor those who tried to destroy our country to save slavery will be serious about ending the racial disparities that exist today?” he said.
Republican Sen. Jim Inhofe said that he supported the legislation on Wednesday for the way it will strengthen the military.
“The way we win against our adversaries is by making sure fights never start by sending a strong message that you can’t win. Don’t even try,” he said. “That’s what were doing in this bill.”
Senate Republicans are warning Mitch McConnell that he could lose his seat as the Senate Minority leader if he votes to impeach President Trump.
McConnell who is to the US Senate what Chamberlain was to the British government should resign his position immediately even if for no other reason than he believes in a surrender first policy towards the Democrats.
Many Senators are losing faith in his ability to lead the opposition party.
McConnell has refused to say how he would vote on impeachment but no one would be surprised if he votes for impeachment.
Before Trump became president, McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan rolled over for the Democrats time after time.
Even if he is allowed to remain in his position now, he must be thrown out after the 2022 midterm election.
The Republican party deserves better and voters should punish any GOP Senator that votes for him.
The Democrats are falsely accusing President Trump of inciting a riot despite the fact that the riot was planned well ahead of January 6th and the fact that it started before Trump even spoke.
They are also ignoring the numerous Democrats who defended the rioting with antifa and BLM, which led to massive damages to cities across America.
The impeachment has nothing to do with committing a criminal act as Trump said nothing divisive, it has to do with trying to prevent Trump from running again in 2024.
After four years of Biden/Harris he would be tough to beat without major hanky panky on the part of Democrats. This year they had to stop counting votes in the swing states until they could arrange massive vote dumps for Biden in the middle of the night.
Lawmakers in the Democrat-led House of Representatives, including ten Republicans, voted to impeach Trump for the second time one week after the U.S. Capitol protest that occurred on January 6, accusing him of inciting the chaos that took place. Now the Senate is tasked with holding a trial, despite the fact that Trump is already out of office.
However, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has already revealed that their major goal, in addition to convicting Trump, is to prevent him from ever running for office again amid fears that he will launch another presidential bid for 2024.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said there will be no second impeachment trial against President Donald Trump if the crazy Democrats follow through with their threat to impeach the president. But don’t mistake McConnell’s words for solidarity with the president.
McConnell sent out a memo where he said that the soonest that the Senate would be able to consider the matter would happen the day before the president leaves office.
The Washington Post, where democracy goes to die, got a copy of the memo, and reported that the Senate “will not reconvene for substantive business until January 19, which means the earliest possible date that impeachment trial proceedings can begin in the Senate is the day before President-elect Joe Biden is inaugurated.”
“Although the Senate will hold two pro forma sessions next week, on Jan. 12 and Jan. 15, it is barred from conducting any kind of business during those days — including “beginning to act on received articles of impeachment from the House” — without agreement from all 100 senators. With a cadre of Trump-allied senators in the Republican conference, that unanimous consent is highly unlikely.”
The Washington Examiner noted that it looks like McConnell is handing over the next impeachment battle for a trial in the Senate to Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who will take over as Senate Majority Leader after the inauguration since the Republicans lost control of the Senate earlier this week after the Democrats pulled the same tactics to steal the two Senate runoff elections in Georgia.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) hailed McConnell’s move on Friday, tweeting, “Completely agree with @senatemajldr‘s analysis that the Senate cannot process the impeachment being contemplated by the House before January 20. I firmly believe impeachment would further destroy our ability to heal and start over.”
Democrats expressed outrage over McConnell’s timeline, with the sleazy Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA), who spearheaded the first impeachment of Trump, complaining to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, “If Mitch McConnell wants to move with expedition, he knows how to do it. And if he doesn’t, then he will bear the responsibility for whatever dangerous acts this president commits.”
This from a man who impeached an innocent president with zero evidence of wrongdoing and for something that Joe Biden as vice president actually did.
If the second impeachment trial does occur, “there is also a question of who exactly would preside over a trial of a former president,” The Post said.
The newspaper reported that according to McConnell’s memo, “Senate impeachment rules require Chief Justice John Roberts preside over a trial of a sitting president, but whether he would have to once Trump is no longer president is ‘unclear.'”
Folks, the only reason they want to impeach Trump again is so that this time they can remove him from office with a Senate trial as that would disqualify him from ever running for president again.
To even attempt to hold a Senate trial on a president who has already left office smacks of desperation on the part of the Democrats. It’s not clear if they can even do that. Can a new Congress take an impeachment from the last Congress to trial even though there’s no president to remove from office? The supreme penalty for an impeachment trial is removal from office.
Getting rid of Trump was just the beginning. Now the Democrats and the Left are going to go after anyone who supported the president. If you’re on Twitter and you Followed the president, you may be purged.
The Democrats are already talking about making lists the way the Nazis did when they took over. AOC has already said that she wants to cancel anyone who worked for Trump. She wants to create lists of them.
On Thursday, the day after the mayhem at the Capitol building, Kamala Harris, who is about to be sworn in as the new vice president, gave a speech about the incident. Did Harris talk about the need for peace and for civility? Not at all. She used the opportunity to play the race card. She actually asked America to think of what would have happened if those Trump supporters who stormed the Capital building were black, how many more would have been shot, and treated horribly by police.
We haven’t even reached the penalties phase with the Democrats who are now in total control of the government. The next six months will be a “get evenism” experience throughout. They will come up with very inventive ways to punish anyone who supported Donald Trump. Their tyranny will change America forever. Get ready, folks. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.
President Donald Trump’s supporters across the nation are ramping up efforts to contest the November 3 election results ahead of Wednesday’s official certification by Congress. Some Pennsylvania lawmakers are appealing to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Georgia Republicans who just received a last-minute court hearing.
The frantic efforts are taking place just as Republicans are also trying to win two US Senate runoff elections in Georgia that will determine control of the Senate, while the president’s lawyers place their bets on an appeal they sent to the US Supreme Court on top of urging legislatures in as many as six states to object to the certifications. This is all 100 percent Constitutional.
Republican congressional leaders are saying that up to as many as two dozen, possibly more, representatives in the House and at least one senator, Josh Hawley of Missouri, will object to the chosen electors for Joe Biden in several contested battleground states, which bring on a debate that will last at least a two-hours on Wednesday. A little birdie told me that right now Mitch McConnell is hammering Senator Hawley to get him to stand down and not object on January 6.
McConnell is an odd duck. He knows that the Republicans in the House and Senate did very well in the 2020 elections as the down ballot to the president, because they rode on Trump’s coattails. However, McConnell has abandoned the president in his quest to overturn the election with massive voter fraud in the key battleground states. He hasn’t lifted a finger to help a president of his own party when his involvement could have given weight to the election fraud that robbed over 74 million Trump voters across the country.
Adding to the pressure, on Thursday, two dozen Republican state lawmakers in Pennsylvania, spearheaded by state Senator Doug Mastriano, sent letters to McConnell and House minority leader Republican Kevin McCarthy, asking that Pennsylvania’s election results not be accepted by Congress until further investigation of irregularities is completed.
“Actions taken by the PA State Supreme Court and Secretary [of State Kathy] Boockvar in the 2020 general election were so fraught with inconsistencies, improprieties and irregularities that the results for the Office of President of the United States cannot be determined in our state,” the lawmakers wrote. “This election is an embarrassment to our nation.”
And it was an embarrassment, yet the Democrats are not capable of being embarrassed. Wouldn’t you think Joe Biden would be shouting from the rooftops if the Democratic Party really wasn’t involved in massive election fraud in the 2020 election?
“We the undersigned ask that you dispute the certification until an investigation is completed,” they added to the letter that was signed by 8 state senators or senators-elect and 19 state House members, 27 lawmakers in all.
Momentum was building among Trump supporters in Georgia after the GOP-controlled state Senate Judiciary Committee approved an audit of voting machines in Fulton County, and they held a hearing where one expert claimed he could get into voting machines that weren’t supposed to be able to connect to the Internet. The Democrats must have lied when they said the machines could not access the Internet early on in the aftermath of the election. The expert said he was able to do this now, during the two Senate runoff elections!
The Superior Court in Fulton County scheduled a hearing for Monday, accepting an emergency petition from a group of Georgian voters called Voter GA demanding a “forensic inspection” of November mail-in ballots.
“We have just received notice that we will be granted a hearing Monday, January 4 at 11 am on our Emergency Petition to visually inspect and forensically examine all Fulton County mail-in ballots,” petitioner Garland Favorito told The Epoch Times. “That includes those processed at State Farm Arena and those that auditors detected as potentially fraudulent.”
The Trump legal team filed an appeal with the US Supreme Court to challenge the results in Wisconsin while at the same time they were urging Republican legislatures in up to six states to object to the certifications on Wednesday: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
“President Trump continues to fight for the American people and election integrity,” Trump legal team lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis said in a statement this week when they filed a lawsuit arguing against Wisconsin’s results to the US Supreme Court. “We have to restore integrity to our process through every legal and constitutionally viable mechanism. America has seen the extent of corruption in this election and is demanding swift resolution.
“We hope that state legislatures in Wisconsin and the five other states will not wait on a court order but exercise their plenary constitutional authority and we continue to appeal to them as well as seek judicial remedy.”
