Peter Navarro, a former Trump Administration Trade Official made a prediction on Maria Bartiromo’s Fox News show “Morning Futures” on Monday predicting that there will be at least three indictments coming from the investigation being run by Special Counsel John Durham concerning the Trump-Russia hoax perpetrated by Obama Administration officials at the request of Hillary Clinton to get her illegal private email server out of the news back at the beginning of the summer of 2016 in an effort to help Clinton get elected in spite of her atrocious mishandling of classified information that would have landed anyone else in prison as a clear violation of the Espionage Act.
Navarro was a trade and economics guy brought into the Trump administration who helped the president turn our economy around and send the Obama/Biden years of economic misery to the ash heap of history, so how would he be privy to such inside information of a special counsel investigation?
Don’t forget that Donald Trump was a businessman and he kept Navarro inside his inner circle Navarro built relationships with the other insiders who would know about such things as how the Durham investigation is going.
Navarro said he has been a registered Democrat who supported the Clinton/Gore administration and he supported Hillary Clinton’s first failed presidential campaign back in 2008. The former Trump adviser also ran for office as a Democrat in California several times and the Hildebeast even endorsed him. Believe it or not, Navarro asserts that he holds progressive views on many social issues, but I think he confuses progressivism with liberalism because he doesn’t seem at all like an evil person.
He joined the Trump campaign as an economic adviser because of Trump’s nationalist economic policies and he too opposes trade deficits and trade deals termed as multilateral. Trump himself preferred to have separate trade deals with individual countries rather than one-size-fits-all because you can negotiate individual trade deals easier than having multiple countries team up on you which gives you less strong of a position. This is why he is anti-China on trade and other foreign policy matters which are important for the United States, something Trump understood from the beginning.
After the election, Trump appointed Navarro to be the Director of the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy within the White House.
Navarro’s influence in the White House grew as other advisers dropped off because they forgot that the president is the one who makes policy and not them. He used his influence to move his China foreign policy ideas to be a centerpiece of Trump’s renegotiating trade deal moves with the Chinese communists.
When Bartiromo asked him about his prediction of three indictments, his response was less than exciting. Navarro told the host that he is making the prediction based on reports by John Solomon last week where it was reported that additional FBI internal documents surrounding the FBI’s spy Stefan Halper and what he did during the summer of 2016 leading up to the election when he targeted Trump campaign members to either find out if any of them knew anything about working with the Russians to dig up opposition research political dirt on Hillary Clinton.
Halper was sent in by the FBI to spy on the Trump campaign. This is not up for dispute. Two months prior to the election George Papadopoulos got a meeting request from Halper, who at the time was a University of Cambridge professor, who asked Papadopoulos to fly to London to discuss international relations and the possibility of Papadopoulos writing a paper on the gas field in the Mediterranean and be paid the sum of $3,000. Halper paid for his flight, which could be construed as entrapment. Papadopoulos flew to England and met with Halper. While discussing the reason he traveled to London, suddenly Hapler switched the subject to Russia, asking Papadopoulos, “You know about hacking the emails from Russia, right?” It was so out of the blue that Papadopoulos saw it as a red flag that something was up. He offered Halper no information and later said it was an absurd question in the first place. George said that Halper was not the only suspicious person to reach out to him, claiming there were two others. According to Papadopoulos’s wife, one of those contacted offered to pay George $30,000 a month during his time with the Trump team, the wife recognizing the offer as something nefarious saying, “It looks to be one among a series of attempts to entrap George. The question today to me is whether these people are simply shady businessmen or are they part of a greater attempt to entrap George in illegal activity.”
And the Halper scenario is just the tip of the iceberg for what the Obama DOJ and intelligence community did to stop Trump, and we know who did what and when they did it, enough to bring dozens of indictments.
US Attorney John Durham has announced that he will be leaving that post effective February 28th. He will, however, continue in his role as special counsel, investigating Russiagate.
AG Bill Barr appointed him as such before he left office. But if Merrick Garland is confirmed as the new Attorney General, I think one of his very first acts will be to fire him. We just don’t know if he will be replaced or whether someone will take his place like Eric Holder.
In any case, a replacement would be assured to kill the investigation once and for all. No one can cover up crimes like the Democrats can because they have no shame at all.
The media will play along. They harassed President Trump by constantly starting rumors that Trump planned to fire Robert Mueller. But of course, he never did. If Merrick fires Durham, you won’t hear a peep.
Durham has been the US Attorney for three years but has been a federal prosecutor for 38 years. I guess he decided to0 pack it in since Biden was going to fire him from the US Attorney’s job anyway.
Earlier this month Biden asked all US Attorneys appointed by Trump to resign. Therefore Durham would be leaving that job soon at any rate and he decided the time was right to just pack it in.
Barr said at the time of his appointment of Durham as special counsel that Durham’s investigation had narrowed to investigating FBI agents involved in the coup attempt.
He has already gotten one conviction of former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith who got less than a slap on the wrist for forging documents to the FISA Court.
A DOJ official told FOX61 News on Friday that Durham will “stay in that role” as special counsel in the Russia probe investigation.
“My career has been as fulfilling as I could ever have imagined when I graduated from law school way back in 1975,” said U.S. Attorney Durham in a statement. “Much of that fulfillment has come from all the people with whom I’ve been blessed to share this workplace, and in our partner law enforcement agencies.”
He continued: “My love and respect for this Office and the vitally important work done here have never diminished. It has been a tremendous honor to serve as U.S. Attorney, and as a career prosecutor before that, and I will sorely miss it.”
I am not going to get my hopes up because every time I do, I get disappointed. But the word on the street is that John Durham has expanded his staff. Specifically, he added prosecutors.
Does this mean he is getting ready to level charges won people? Or could he just be bringing them on board for a second opinion on charges to be brought?
This word comes at a time when the president and members of congress are becoming increasingly critical of AG Bill Barr and US Attorney John Durham.
This could be another head fake. It is also being reported that the investigation is coming along nicely. I’ll believe all of this once a lot of Democrats start dressing in orange every day for 3 to 5 years.
Barr recently named Durham as the special prosecutor and his job will carry on into the next administration no matter who wins. In that order, it is clearly written out that Durham is obligated to turn in a report to the DOJ that can be released to the public but probably won’t no matter who Biden taps should he win the election.
Barr tapped Durham on May 13, 2019 to conduct an inquiry into the U.S. government’s intelligence-gathering activities against Trump campaign associates. The review has morphed into a criminal investigation. (RELATED: Barr Appoints Durham As Special Counsel)
Barr designated Durham as a special counsel to oversee the investigation on Oct. 19, 2020. The order said that Durham would be required to submit a report to the Justice Department that could be released to the public. Barr also said in the order that Durham could submit interim reports before the investigation has officially ended.
Barr said in a letter to Congress on Dec. 1 that he initially expected Durham to finish the investigation by this summer, but that progress was slowed by the coronavirus pandemic.
It appears that the Durham investigation has followed the same route that the DOJ IG Michael Horowitz took in his probe of the whole mess.
One person has already pleaded guilty to forging evidence to get a FISA warrant against Carter Page. A former FBI lawyer, Kevin Clinesmith is due to be sentenced soon. Durham has asked for prison time.
We saw this coming when John Durham refused to end his investigation into the massive amount of crimes committed by people within the Obama/Biden administration. One of the biggest mistakes President Trump made in his first term is not firing AG Bill Barr. He has turned out to be as corrupt as anyone in Washington. He appointed John Durham to investigate.
Durham, whom I am convinced is just another cog in the Deep State machine, refused to release his report before the election and now the election is over… he’s dropping it entirely.
Don’t even try to tell me no crimes were committed. Perjury charges alone could fill a couple of dockets. The worst part is that it just like the 2020 election. Democrats will get away with that, too.
The only person who will be convicted is Kevin Clinesmith and he was hit with a minor charge even though he falsified evidence. And I will bet he will get zero jail time. John Durham’s birthday will be a national holiday and will be celebrated on the same day as Benedict Arnold. I’m not sure which one is the bigger traitor.
The Democrats now have a back up when voter fraud does not win for them. They will sic the FBI and the DOJ on the winner.
Neither one will get you sent to prison. I am now wondering if Barr will reinstate the charges against Michael Flynn since he has blown his cover. In a show of appreciation, Biden might let Barr keep his job.
According to Bartiromo, a debate has begun within the Department of Justice as the timing of John Durham’s criminal investigation conclusion. Sources said it is now too close to the election and could be viewed as politically motivated.
According to The Federalist, “John Durham isn’t doing anything” and he is “dropping his investigations.”
“He’s worried about blowback from Biden.”
Sean Davis@seanmdav·A source familiar with Durham’s ongoing investigation of the bogus Russian collusion operation tells @FDRLST: “Durham isn’t doing anything. Dropping his investigations. He’s worried about blowback from Biden. What an absolute disgrace.”
John Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence says he has been coordinating with Special Prosecutor John Durham in order to decide what documents can be declassified and released. This is terrible news for the Deep State because they have no way to stop them. They also don’t have Chris Wray because he can’t stop them either.
Ratcliffe has been investigating the beginning of the Russian collusion witch hunt. That is what Durham is investigating too, but there are documents that can be released. The documents that have already been released have been very revealing. They show that Obama and Biden both knew about the spying.
They also show that the FBI knew that Steele was very unreliable, but they used his material so they could spy on Trump. The FBI knew early on that there was no collusion but they were hoping to find anything they could use to depose him.
“The question now is did the FBI have a proper predicate to begin a counterintelligence investigation at all, and that’s the issue that John Durham is looking at, and also the issue that I’m continuing to look at.”
“I’m coordinating with him to make sure that he has the intelligence documents that he needs to do his work, and what I don’t want to do is declassify something that might prejudice his work so we’re going to have to coordinate as we go forward.”
John Durham is working on a large investigation into the origins of Spygate. He has now interviewed John Brennan and is expected to finish his investigation shortly. Durham has the power to bring charges and prosecute those who have committed crimes. No one can interfere.
He is looking into what the FBI’s motive was in opening an investigation into President Trump. In my opinion, they wanted to spy on Trump in the hope of catching him committing a crime. Trump did not oblige them. Now Durham is investigating to see if the investigation was strictly political.
The FBI claimed that Russia colluded with Trump to defeat Hillary. I don’t see why. They helped her get $145 million for the Clinton Foundation by aiding the Russians to buy 20% of all uranium mined in this country. Why buy milk when you already own the cow?
Grenell declassified information in footnotes from the Justice Department inspector general’s report on the FBI’s Trump investigation, which showed that the bureau had evidence that the Steele dossier may have contained disinformation planted by Russian intelligence officers.
Ratcliffe declassified an FBI memo of interviews with Igor Danchenko, the primary source for dossier author Christopher Steele. Danchenko’s statements to the FBI called into question the reliability of the dossier, which the FBI used to obtain surveillance warrants against Carter Page.
Ratcliffe says that he has been providing documents to Durham but he is not privy to Durham’s investigation. He is trying not to prejudice the investigation. He is following the guidance of Durham on the release of documents. Once his investigation is complete, document releases can move ahead quickly.
Durham’s investigation has already yielded one conviction. That was for FBI lawyer, Kevin Clinesmith. Clinesmith altered a document used in obtaining FISA warrants. There is a hint that Clinesmith made a plea bargain but there is no proof of that. But, he will serve no more than six months and sentencing has been delayed until December.
Durham has been silent on the results he is getting. That is how it should be. But, now he needs to indict those who tried to unseat a duly elected president.
Are we finally getting down to cases? Former US Attorney Joe diGenova Napolitano says we are. He does not have a crystal ball but is drawing from his own experience as a federal prosecutor from the Justice Department.
The speculations have said for some time that John Durham would finish his investigation by the end of the summer.
diGenova was on with Mornings with the Mall where he appears every week to be interviewed on the topics of the day. The first topic of the day was the Durham investigation with host Bill Hemmer.
Hemmer suggested to diGenova that there would be indictments at the same time as the issuance of his report. diGenova took it a step further and suggested that plea deals will be made prior to the release of the reports. He said that there are probably some who are discussing plea deals with the Durham team.
I won’t hold my breath on this but I truly hope that he either knows something or he knows from prior experiences.
Durham has not interviewed the big targets yet and when he does, he will probably conduct it during a grand jury. That’s because, in a behind the scenes interview, they would probably take the Fifth.
I would doubt that Durham would be discussing the likelihood that Durham would be looking at plea bargains for the big fish but it would make sense to strike deals with the small fry who could be testifying against their bosses at the FBI and the DOJ.
That would Durham the proper ammunition to use during the grand jury.
Durham said that he had expected that Durham would be done with his investigation by June but that the virus had set back the timetable a bit.
Of course, yes, that’s exactly what could happen. You got it right Vince [Coglianese]. I suspected all along that Durham was going to do his best to get something done by September. Actually, I suspected it would be June, indeed I knew that that was the time table but the COVID-19 virus put off some grand jury appearances.
Early on in my life, someone told me, good things come to those who wait. I wish they would have continued, And to those who don’t, things tend to go wrong”. Millions of us have been patiently waiting for those involved in the “Russian Hoax” to be brought to justice. Well after 3 plus years we are still anxiously hoping that AG Barr’s DOJ, using Special Prosecutor John Durham’s report, to bring down the hammer.
On the bright side, there is news coming out of well-connected reporters, like John Solomon, who are seeing a lot of activity in DC which could lead to indictments filed before the November elections.
Top investigative reporter John Solomon says there is a “lot of activity” in U.S. Attorney John Durham’s criminal investigation of the Obama administration’s investigation of the now-debunked claims of Trump-Russia collusion throughout the 2016 election. The whole thing can be summed up to interfering in an election. That’s ironic, because Obama, Susan Rice, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and the rest went on nonstop about how serious it is to have an election interfered with.
“My sources tell me there’s a lot of activity. I’m seeing, personally, activity behind the scenes of the Justice Department,” Solomon said on Tuesday, adding that Durham’s team “is trying to bring those first indictments, and I would look for a time around Labor Day to see the first sort of action by the Justice Department.”
Solomon insisted that he is “seeing a lot of activity consistent with building prosecutions and preparing for criminal plea bargains,” but also acknowledged that none of this may lead to anything.
“That doesn’t mean it’ll happen,” Solomon said. “Until someone signs and until they bring them before the grand jury. You never know if it’s going to happen.”
Solomon said he is hearing from defense lawyers and people “on the prosecution side” that complications with the coronavirus pandemic are “slowing down” the grand jury process.
“But everything I’m seeing on the ground, real reporting, suggests that there’s an ongoing criminal investigation intent on bringing indictments and possibly some plea bargains. The first action, the first evidence of it in the public will probably be around Labor Day. That’s an awfully long time to wait, but I do see activity that looks like they’re building a criminal case right now,” he said.
As a conservative I would love to have the indictments drop before the elections, helping the GOP, but in the end, I want convictions. If this means we need to wait until early next year for ironclad charges, then let it be. Justice is in the balance as the world is watching to see if the US successfully brings to justice those involved in the largest coup d’etat in American history.
Special prosecutor John Durham subpoenaed liberal think tank, the Brookings Institute over a former employee, Igor Danchenko and his connections to the bogus Steele Dossier paid for by the Hillary campaign and the DNC.
Danchenko was the alleged primary source for the Steele dossier, but he has disputed much of what went into the dossier and attributable to him. Some he said was embellished and some he said he knew nothing about.
It is said that the Brookings Institute cooperated fully in the Durham investigation. The institute was and is not the target in the investigation.
Danchenko had worked there as an analyst before moving on and he even landed a job at Steele-owned Orbis Business Intelligence.
He testified that he passed rumors on to Steele, who then represented the rumors as truth. Danchenko says that other parts of the dossier listing him as the source did not come from him.
The inspector general report found 17 inaccuracies in the FBI’s applications for FISA warrants against Carter Page, including a forged email from the CIA for which Kevin Clinesmith pleaded guilty to without so much as a slap on the wrist. I still don’t expect results from the Durham investigation.
The investigation has drug on forever and many key witnesses have never been called to the best of my knowledge.
Investigations led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the Justice Department inspector general and several congressional committees all undermined the dossier’s central thesis of a “well-developed conspiracy of cooperation” between the Trump campaign and Russian government.
The IG report also debunked several specific claims of collusion that are found in the Steele dossier. One of those is Steele’s claim that Trump lawyer Michael Cohen visited Prague in August 2016 to meet with Kremlin insiders regarding hackers.
The general counsel for Brookings told The Times that Durham’s office issued its subpoena on Dec. 31, and that the think tank had turned over documents in February.
“Consistent with its practices in such matters, Brookings provided the responsive documents, none of which contained information associated with the reports known as the Steele dossier,” Michael Cavadel told The Times.
In the same AP article where Attorney General Bill Barr said that the FBI didn’t have evidence of voter fraud, he admitted that he had extended the investigation into Crossfire Hurricane by appointing John Durham to continue his work and released a letter about it to the House of Representatives dated Tuesday, Dec. 1.
“The current investigation, a criminal probe, had begun very broadly but has since “narrowed considerably” and now “really is focused on the activities of the crossfire hurricane investigation within the FBI.” Durham to issue a public report of findings, Eric Carlson of Epoch Times reported.
Members of the Bureaucratic State were not happy:
Barr explained in a letter to the House and Senate Judiciary committees that in May 2019 he directed Durham, a U.S. attorney in Connecticut, to investigate some “intelligence and law-enforcement activities related to the 2016 presidential election.”
Barr said he had expected Durham to complete his work by the summer 2020. However, the pandemic and additional information he uncovered prevented him from meeting that deadline.
The attorney general, in the letter, also said that prior to the presidential election he decided to appoint Durham as a special counsel “to provide him and his team with the assurance that they could complete their work, without regard to the outcome of the election.”
“AG Bill Barr has appointed John Durham as a special counsel — meaning he can’t be easily fired even in a new administration — and tells @AP the Durham probe has “narrowed considerably” to focus on the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation,” posted Tom Fitton a member of President Trump’s team to evaluate Judicial appointments.
Catherine Herridge reported, “Order Establishing Special Counsel. Language matters. Criminal. Scope FBI + Mueller team “The Special Counsel is authorized to investigate whether any federal official, employee, or any other person or entity violated the law in connection with the intelligence, counter-intel, or law-enforcement activities directed at the 2016 presidential campaigns, individuals associated with those campaigns + individuals associated with (Trump) administration including but not limited to Crossfire Hurricane” + Special Counsel Mueller.”
“DurhamSpecial Counse lDurham scope is broad + encompasses recently declassified docs. This may set up an interesting dynamic with nexus to then VP Biden. Declassified records include unmasking @GenFlynn + Jan 2017 WH meeting where, according to notes, “VP” raised Logan Act,” Herridge reported.
Joe Biden was the one who came up with framing General Mike Flynn with violations from the Logan Act.
Evidence emerges that Durham was appointed mid October and that Durham will be focused on the Crossfire Hurricane scandal from within the FBI.
Opponents of Trump feel that Barr made a mistake with the appointment because he has to be from “outside the government”, forgetting that Mueller is a former director of the FBI.
