Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) was interviewing uber radical leftist Vanita Gupta during her confirmation hearing to be appointed to one of the top spots at the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Gupta is one of those Woke Supremacist people who believe in the theory that all Americans are racist and everybody has this implicit bias built into them.
During a congressional hearing on reforming the police across the United States after the death of George fluid in Minneapolis at the hands of Minneapolis police officers, Gupta said some pretty ridiculous things. She said that because of the 4 police officers in Minneapolis who were arresting George fluid that all police have a problem with racial bias and that that incident with those 4 police officers should hold all police throughout all 50 states account for their actions.
“Minneapolis police officers put the issue of police brutality in the national spotlight, the outpouring of pain and anger is anything but a reaction to one isolated incident or the misconduct of a few bad apples. Instead, the outcry is a response to the long cycle of stolen lives and violence with impunity toward black people in our nation.”
Gupta believes in decriminalizing all drugs and is a huge supporter of illegal immigration and open borders, a real piece of garbage with a degree who knows how to make the garbage sound nice and flowery but hasn’t yet figured out how to take away the smell, as you would expect from such a radical.
It was her views on race that caused the smackdown she was about to receive from the Arkansas senator that was a real eye-opener for anyone who paid attention. Someone call 9-11 because Cotton took her apart and killed her where she sat.
Senator Cotton reminisced with Gupta about an exchange she previously had with Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) where she responded to a question about whether or not she supports decriminalizing all drugs where she said no she does not and Cotton pointed to an Op-Ed that was published in the Huffington Post in 2012 where she wrote, “States should decriminalize simple possession of all drugs particularly for marijuana and small amounts of other drugs.” He then went on and asked her why she misled Senator Cornyn.
Gupta responded by saying her position on the matter was what the position of the DOJ is. Cotton responded by reminding her that Senator Cornyn didn’t ask her what the position of the DOJ was but what her, if it was true, did she advocate the decriminalization of all drugs and she responded under oath, “No sir, I do not.”
Then it got really good. Senator Cotton moved on to talk about another exchange Gupta had with Senator Cornyn saying “last summer, 9 months ago when Cornyn asked her ‘Do you believe that all Americans are racist’ and that she replied, ‘Yes, I think that we all have implicit biases and racial biases. Yes I do.'”
Cotton then asked Gupta “which races do you harbor racial bias?” BOOM!
When democrats and leftist Woke Supremamcists go out on a limb and make general statements like all Americans are racists or all Americans have an implicit bias in them or that America is systemically racist which is pretty much saying the same thing, then you should ask them which races are they racially biased against. They are American and they indicted all Americans in their statement, so ipso facto what racial makeup of people are they racist against?
Or course Gupta went on to give a standard bullschtein line that when she said that she didn’t really mean all Americans are racist but we all have an implicit bias in ourselves and that it doesn’t mean that we are harboring any racism at all yet we manifest unconscious assumptions and stereotypes that can get made, and blah blah blah. But that’s not how she answered the question. When she answered the question it was during a time when nightly riots in Democrat-run cities were happening and saying all Americans [always implied as white people or people of color who supported Donald Trump] are born racist was fashionable and you could get away with it but now she is sitting before a Senate that gives advice and consent on her wishes to be confirmed to a position in the Department of Justice, and she just got caught lying about her past positions.
Gupta went on to say that she does have racial bias but she “manages” not admitting that so does pretty much every other living American. In short, her questioning from Cotton made her sound like the south end of a northbound horse.
Cotton then asked her about when she opposed three judges Trump nominated, a Filipino American, a Korean American, and an African American. Here’s the often-overlooked brilliance of Tom Cotton. He then asked Gupta if members of those communities should be worried that she would have a racial bias after she opposed their nominations, and Gupta took the bait.
Gupta responded by saying she wasn’t sure how that connection was being made, that the decisions she came to were not made on the basis of race but on the nominees’ past stances on civil rights and after a thorough review of their record, and that’s when Cotton went in for yet another kill.
Cotton responded saying, “So it’s your position then that you can oppose someone’s nomination on the merits without immediately and justly being accused of being racist or sexist because of their race or their sex.” Again, BOOM!
Gupta again acted as if she didn’t understand what Cotton was getting at and so he spelled it out for her.
“I’m getting at the point that our Democratic friends and many in the media often make whenever a senator opposes a nominee they immediately jump to charges of racism.”
You just witnessed the crime of assault on Vanita Gupta by Senator Cotton where he beat the truth out of her. Getting Democrats to admit the truth is a crime in their world so she probably felt violated.
President Joe Biden delivered a speech where he outlined his plan to “get back to normal” on the one-year anniversary of the COVID-19 lockdowns. In his first prime-time speech, Biden who walked down that never-ending hallway looking more like he was an old drunk searching for a bathroom than the president of the United States, teased that Americans might be allowed to gather in “small groups” by the Fourth of July. Gee, thanks, Uncle Joe!
Folks, this was a very serious moment that should not be overlooked or taken lightly. Liberals think old Joe was giving hope, but he was setting up the scene for never-ending lockdowns. He was telling the American people that they will need permission from the federal government if they want to gather with family and/or friends on the Fourth of July, otherwise known as Independence Day. Many people ripped him for his words.
“I need every American to do their part, and that’s not hyperbole,” Biden said during his televised speech. “I need you to get vaccinated when it’s your turn and when you can find an opportunity, and to help your family, your friends, your neighbors get vaccinated as well.”
What happens to some people if they don’t want to get vaccinated for religious, or medical, or even political reasons? It’s still America, right? Wrong.
“If we do all this, if we do our part, if we do this together, by July the Fourth, there’s a good chance,” Biden said, “you, your families and friends will be able to get together in your back yard or in your neighborhood and have a cookout and a barbecue and celebrate Independence Day. That doesn’t mean large events with lots of people together, but it does mean small groups will be able to get together.”
Did you hear that? There’s a good chance you can celebrate your freedom on Independence Day.
“July Fourth with your loved ones is the goal, but a goal, a lot can happen,” Biden forewarned. “Conditions can change. The scientists have made clear that things may get worse again as new variants of the virus spread. We’ve got work to do to ensure that everyone has confidence in the safety and effectiveness of all three vaccines.”
That’s just it. The science does not make it clear. He’s making it up, just like how he made up most of his speech where he tried to cancel former President Donald Trump by trashing him with lies about how Trump handled the pandemic and Biden took credit for the vaccines.
The official Twitter account for the POTUS wrote, “If we all do our part, then by July 4th, there’s a good chance folks will be able to gather with family and close friends to celebrate Independence Day.”
Did you ever think you would live to see the day that an American president would say something like that?
The White House COVID-19 Response Team added, “By May 1st, every adult in this country will be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine but we all have to do our part: Get your shot and help the people you know get theirs, and by July 4th, the President says we may be able to get together with loved ones to celebrate Independence Day.”
Are you paying attention? They said by May 1st you will be “eligible” for a vaccine.
The contention that Americans might be allowed to gather on Independence Day, the irony escapes this White House, was mocked on Twitter by many users.
Republican Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) declared, “If you’re waiting for permission from the chief executive to celebrate Independence Day with your family, you clearly don’t grasp the concept of Independence.”
Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) offered, “Here’s an idea, Mr. President: Freedom.”
Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) asked the question, “If every willing person in America is vaccinated for #COVID19 by May, as POTUS has said, why put our lives on hold till July the 4th?”
Greg Kelly host of Newsmax’s “Greg Kelly Reports” pointed something out that no Biden supporter probably even knows.
“Did BIDEN mention TRUMP? The one who made the vaccine possible ? I missed that part of the “speech”——did he? #Biden“
Actress, filmmaker and New York Times bestselling author Alana Stewart summed it up well.
Wednesday night, the GOP lawmakers sent a letter asking Durbin to schedule hearings into the conduct of the Cuomo administration since it has been reported that it intentionally withheld the COVID-19 death numbers from nursing homes after Cuomo forced COVID-19 positive patients into nursing homes with the most vulnerable of our society for this pandemic virus, the elderly.
“The American people deserve to know the extent to which Governor Cuomo and his senior staff violated the civil rights of New York seniors, lied to the Department of Justice about their actions, and violated federal civil and criminal laws in the process,” the lawmakers wrote.
“That so many people needlessly lost their lives because of the failed policies of Governor Cuomo’s administration — an administration that many have lauded over the past year — is tragic and deserves a full investigation and accounting.”
Of course, you just know that Durbin and his cohorts in the party are going to use the Cuomo administration’s lie that they did it because President Donald Trump was pressuring them on Twitter.
In the letter sent to Durbin, the senators said they expect Merrick Garland, President Joe Biden’s attorney general nominee, to commit to investigating this growing scandal.
“When Judge Garland testifies before this Committee, we expect him to commit the Department of Justice to fully investigating this cover-up to determine whether any criminal laws were violated and to prosecute any violations,” they wrote. Not that it will ever happen, because while Democrats make things up against Republicans out of thin air, they rarely ever go after one of their own, and the tyrant governor of New York is most definitely one of their own.
Richard Azzopardi, a spokesman for the governor, slimed on about Cruz’s request, “Every death in this pandemic is a tragedy and shame on the Treason Caucus for exploiting them to distract from fermenting the Capitol insurrection that resulted in the death of a police officer.”
Can you believe that? This putz (a little cultural appropriation) tried to dilute the scandal by referring to a fake scandal against Senator Cruz where in the wake of the Capitol riot on January 6, the Democrats have tried to accuse Cruz of helping to incite the riot while he was inside the Capitol building doing exactly what the Democrats did for the last three Republican White House victories. Azzopardi accused Cruz and the other Republicans of doing exactly what he did in the context of his accusation. The Democrats are sick people.
Last week we reported that a Cuomo top aide, Melissa DeRosa, admitted to a bunch of state Democrats lawmakers that they withheld the COVID-19 nursing home death count over the fear that the numbers would be “used against us” by federal authorities. Isn’t that called obstruction? I thought the Democrats really hated obstruction.
This scandal was made public after New York Attorney General Letitia James reported that she discovered that COVID-19 nursing home deaths were 50 percent higher than Cuomo and the administration claimed.
Also on Wednesday Assemblyman Ron Kim (D-Queens) said he received a threatening phone call from Cuomo last week telling the assemblyman that he’d be “destroyed” if he didn’t help contain the situation. Can you imagine?
Kim said he was “in the middle of bathing my kids,” when Cuomo asked him to write up a statement that would say that DeRosa told state lawmakers that they would comply with federal prosecutors.
Folks, that’s manufacturing false evidence, something the Democrats accused Trump of doing, except unlike the former president, Cuomo allegedly actually did if Kim is telling the truth.
Kim said that during the call Cuomo threatened him saying, “You have not seen my wrath. I have been biting my tongue for months.” The assemblyman said Cuomo then told him, “I can tell the whole world what a bad person you are and you will be finished.” Kim said, and concluded that the governor told him, “You will be destroyed.”
This is worse than any of the lies the Democrats made up about Republicans and apparently it’s a real scandal.
Last month, Cruz introduced an amendment to the COVID-19 relief package that called for a Department Of Justice investigation to determine if officials like Cuomo could be criminally or civilly liable for forcing COVID-19 patients into nursing homes. The senator from Texas shouldn’t hold his breath because there is no way, no how that the Biden DOJ will ever hold Democrats accountable for what they did that ended up killing thousands of seniors.
Cuomo made good on his threats. During a press conference on Wednesday, the governor attacked both Assemblyman Kim and the New York Post for having the gall to expose the nursing home scandal.
It now appears that fellow Democrats, who put up with Cuomo’s arrogance for way too long during the COVID-19 crisis, are now turning on him. On Tuesday, nine state Assembly Democrats accused the governor of federal obstruction of justice in a letter that asks that Cuomo’s COVID-19 emergency powers be stripped. Multiple state Senators asked for the same.
I am admittedly a partisan conservative, but I don’t take too much pleasure watching someone have the world come down on them, but in this case, I think it’s completely justified. Andrew Cuomo has been an obnoxious and arrogant tyrant who not only botched his handling of the pandemic for New Yorkers and not only tried to blame everyone else for his and his administration’s negligence over the nursing home debacle, but he actually wrote a book about what an awesome job he did as governor handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
But, absolutely nothing will happen on the federal level as we now know that President Biden chose not to discuss the scandal during his White House meeting with the governor on Friday, saying “it was not a focus of their conversation or a topic.”
For those of you reading this who are admitted leftists I want you to do something for me. I want you to close your eyes, take some deep, slow breaths, and once your mind has been cleared of everything, think to yourself, what if it was Donald Trump.
Republican Thom Tillis faced an uphill challenge to his election in November, with a majority of Republicans disliking him so much they booed him loudly at rallies for President Donald J. Trump. Nonetheless, Trump did endorse Tillis, and voters held their nose and elected Tillis for his second term.
It took Tillis absolutely no time whatsoever ever to betray Trump and his supporters, with Tillis go hard left on numerous topics including meeting with open borders proponents in November and now, padding the “stimulus bill” with the great idea of making live streamers into Felons.
Remember, one of the ways the left attempts to shut down independent media is by loudly broadcasting music alongside a broadcaster, causing people to have to shut down their coverage of live events. No doubt this power to criminalize live streaming will be used to censor people.
According to TV Technology:
“Illegally pirating streaming video could put guilty parties in jail thanks to a new bill. The Protecting Lawful Streaming Act introduced by Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) was included in the omnibus spending bill of the COVID-19 relief bill that was passed by Congress on Dec. 21.
Under Tillis’ bill, any person that pirates video streams of copyrighted work will have committed a felony act and be subject to either fines or imprisonment. The previous penalty for pirating streaming content was a misdemeanor.
The bill targets large-scale, criminal, for-profit streaming services, not good faith business disputes or noncommercial activities. Nor does it target individuals who access the pirated streams, knowingly or unknowingly.
Streaming has become increasingly popular in the last few years, particularly in 2020, as the global pandemic has changed viewing habits as people have more time during lockdowns. This new bill brings the pirating of streamed content to the same level as other pirating efforts, including the illegal downloading of copyrighted content.
Co-sponsoring the bill with Tillis is Sens. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii), Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.), John Cornyn (R-Texas), Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Chris Coons (D-Del.), Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) and David Perdue (R-Ga.).”
Conveniently, this addition to a bill meant to “help the American people” is being shoved down our throats with no debate and no transparency. The Bill flew through both the US House and the US Senate, with civil servants drunk on power, gorging the American taxpayer after a year of financial and emotional struggle.
“Thom Tillis claims the proposed law only targets criminal organizations that stream copyright content as their primary purpose. I am concerned for creators that think their background music, intro/outro, and other regularly occurring music usage is 100% clear… but it’s not. I don’t trust the federal government to be able to distinguish between different music copyright situations effectively. Leadership we have in the federal government is clueless, way too old, and could irresponsibly and unknowingly punish regular people,” @AwallDigital, a former Digital media Executive, posted on Twitter.
So, Swamp dwellers like Tillis found the energy to focus on criminalizing Americans with just one more regulation, while real-life Americans are struggling with massive concerns over many other things. It is clear who the Swamp will protect, and that is not the average American.
Two GOP Senators, Chuck Grassley, and John Cornyn are signaling that they are open to passing an immigration bill that could grant amnesty to between 11 and 22 million illegals, making them all eligible for government giveaways.
It would also assure Democratic presidents for as far as the eye can see.
The Hill reports:
“I think that would be a good thing to do,” Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) said about the potential to do immigration next year. [Emphasis added]
“The challenge is you’ve got to get the votes, but that to me is one of my biggest disappointments in my time in the Senate, our inability to get that done,” Cornyn said, adding that he would “try to be part of that effort” if the topic comes back up. [Emphasis added]
Grassley said an agreement would have to lie in the middle of the Democrat’s open border policy and Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
What middle ground? Either you grant amnesty or you don’t.
The Democrats want to legalize all illegal aliens and to make up for it they would be willing to deport the 71 million who voted for Trump.
“It’s kind of a case of the extreme points of view — like people who think we can load up 12 million people and get them out of the country; if they want to do that, they can’t be a part of it. And for the people who want people to be citizens yesterday, they can’t be a part of it.”
So, do we start allowing bank robbers to keep the money they steal? When did we start rewarding people for breaking our laws? And once we start, where does it end? Are you aware that Social Security considers not speaking English to be a disability? Our SWS fund could be depleted in just a couple of years.
Days after the November 3 presidential election, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) was met with sharp criticism from immigration reform organizations and grassroots conservatives for suggesting that the GOP could reach a “common ground” with Biden on some form of amnesty.
Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson called out Graham in a segment, saying that the newly reelected senator “would be happy to sell out his voters with an amnesty deal, like within hours of the election.”
Currently, there about 24.5 million Americans are either jobless or underemployed but all want full-time jobs. Those unemployed are forced to compete in the labor market by an endless stream of foreign workers who secure visas and green cards which rack up to more than 2.5 million admissions every year.
Exit polling that took place during the November 3rd election found that 75% of voters favored less immigration. Republicans are standing in line to oppose their base.
The Democrats are holding up vital funds for Americans once again to benefit them. Pelosi and the Democrats now want Small business funds for media outlets. But the main reason they are doing this is because these media outlets were in trouble before this pandemic even started. Why? Because people are seeking the truth via social media news. Check out this article from Epoch Times.
Senate Democrats are pushing for a proposal that might send as much as $10 billion to local media outlets as part of a fourth CCP virus relief package, while blocking additional rescue funding for small businesses.
“For over a decade, there has been a steady succession of local outlets closing down, reporters being laid off, production schedules cut, and resources tightened as the growth of social media and technology platforms has concentrated critical advertising revenue in the hands of a few,” states an April 8 letter from 19 mostly Democratic senators, to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).
The letter was also addressed to Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) and Vice Chairman Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.).
The letter didn’t specify an amount of funding to be provided to local media outlets but referenced proposals from three media trade groups that are seeking $5 billion to $10 billion in such assistance.
“Reliable local news and information has been critically important during the COVID-19 pandemic, yet it has become more scarce,” the letter said.
“Any future stimulus package must contain funding to support this important industry at such a critical time. Such a provision should be tailored to benefit aid recipients who make a long-term commitment to high-quality local news.”
The signers of the letter were led by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.). The others are Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii), Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.), Sen. Robert Casey Jr. (D-Pa.), Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.), Sen. Angus King (I-Maine, who caucuses with Democrats), Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.), Sen. Tom Udall (D-N.M.), and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.).
At the same time, the letter seeking public funding for local media was circulated April 8, Senate Republicans were angrily challenging Democrats to stop blocking a measure that would add $250 billion to the $349 billion under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for small businesses in the just-passed $2 trillion CCP virus relief package.
“We are seeing a rate of $3.5 billion an hour on a nearly $350 billion program. We have days, not weeks, until PPP runs out of money,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said in a statement on April 8. Rubio is chairman of the chamber’s Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
“Today’s unemployment numbers remind us that now is not the time for congressional horse-trading or partisan politics. Small businesses are being forced to lay off employees and close their doors. I really hope my Democratic colleagues will reconsider their decision to block more money for PPP,” Rubio said.
Similarly, Sen. John Cornyn (D-Texas) issued a statement saying: “The Democrats’ insistence on holding this relief hostage for extraneous funding that isn’t needed is unfathomable. Coronavirus relief is no place for partisan politics, but Senator Schumer just can’t help himself.
“Allowing this fund to run dry and letting countless small businesses fail would be one of the most unconscionable things Senator Schumer and Democrats could do.”
The proposal to provide federal dollars for local media organizations is certain to run into objections that the money would actually be aiding large media conglomerates that own or otherwise control the vast majority of news outlets, including those that were once predominantly owned by local interests.
“Ownership of the country’s daily newspapers was concentrated among the largest 10 companies. Altogether, the largest 10 companies owned 1,500 papers, including almost half—572—of the country’s 1,283 dailies,” according to a 2018 report by the Hussman School of Journalism at the University of North Carolina.
The report said 7 of the 10 biggest companies are either publicly owned corporations such as Gannett or are investment entities like Tronc/Tribune that are owned by hedge and pensions funds, and private equity firms.
The Epoch Times asked spokesmen for the 19 Democratic signers how such recipients would be defined and whether much of the proposed spending would end up benefiting media conglomerates. All but two of the 19 didn’t respond.
Top Republicans in Texas are sounding the alarm about 2020, warning President Trump could lose the usually reliably red state unless he devotes resources and attention to it typically reserved for electoral battlegrounds.
Texas is a state that is being infiltrated by Democrats. Many factors have contributed to this:
The growth of construction jobs
Unions moving in
Republicans have always taken Texas for granted. The Washington Examiner reports:
“Texas GOP Chairman James Dickey has delivered this message to the Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee, GOP donors, and activists in the state. Nationally, Republican operatives and donors have historically taken Texas for granted and directed their financial and organizational muscle to more competitive regions. Separately, Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, up for re-election next year, has spoken with new RNC co-chairman Tommy Hicks, a Lone Star State native, about concerns that Trump could lose the state.
Along with other senior Texas Republicans, Dickey and Cornyn are moving to secure the money and grassroots support needed to withstand a feared Democratic surge statewide in 2020. If left unchecked, they are convinced Texas could turn blue in a presidential contest for the first time since 1976.”
Conservatives are very passive citizens when it comes to getting involved in politics. Locally, statewide or when it comes to Washington D.C. In Texas, we have seen Democrats methodically take local positions that no one wants and then they work up the ladder. They role out Unions and infiltrate far and wide. Republicans need to get involved if they want their values heard and upheld. Because even traditional conservative states like Texas, are being easily taken by aggressive Democrats while conservatives stand idly by.
