Sally Yates Throws James Comey Under the Bus…Would Not Have Signed FISA Warrant

Sally Yates Throws James Comey Under the Bus…Would Not Have Signed FISA Warrant

Sally Yates joined a hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee chaired by Lindsey Graham. Her testimony is to be considered important because she threw James Comey under the bus.

She admitted under oath that James Comey had gone rogue in his attempts to frame Gen Michael Flynn. Going rogue means to operate outside the rules and regulations of the FBI.

She also said that if she had any idea of the extent to which the FBI and DOJ was lying to the FISA Court, she would not have signed the fourth application for a FISA warrant against Carter Page.

That sounds more like a CYA strategy than anything else. When you sign a FISA application, you are swearing that the evidence in the application has been verified.

Yates signed the FISA application on Jan 17th, 2017, just three days before Trump took office. This allowed the FBI to continue spying on Trump and his transition team.

The DOJ IG, Michael Horowitz released a scathing report the crimes the Deep State violated in their attempt to overthrow a duly elected president.

The IG report found that there were no less than 17 inaccuracies or outright lies in the FISA applications, including doctored documents and withholding important facts such as that Steele was found to be unreliable or that he was working for Hillary Clinton and the DNC.

Christopher Steele, in his report, stated that Page was part of a “well-developed conspiracy of cooperation” between Donald Trump and the Kremlin.

We now know there was not a single word of truth in the dossier and it was written to please the ones that hired him and not necessarily for getting at the truth.

From The Daily Caller

The IG report also said that FBI agents withheld information that undermined the theory that Page was acting as a covert agent of Russia. One of the FBI’s case agents failed to disclose that Page had served as an “operational contact” for the CIA through at least 2013, according to the IG report.

Yates told Sen. Lindsey Graham at Wednesday’s hearing that she was “shocked” by the revelations in the IG report. But she also defended the basis for the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign. The bureau opened the probe, Crossfire Hurricane, on July 31, 2016 based on information from the Australian government regarding George Papadopoulos, another Trump campaign adviser.

Smoking Gun Email Reveals Comey Told Clapper FBI Unable to ‘Sufficiently Corroborate’ Steele Dossier – Then Signed FISA Warrant Anyway

Smoking Gun Email Reveals Comey Told Clapper FBI Unable to ‘Sufficiently Corroborate’ Steele Dossier – Then Signed FISA Warrant Anyway

This is huge. James Comey sent an email to James Clapper informing him that the FBI could not verify the Steele Dossier.

Then, afterward, he signed a FISA application in which he had to swear that the information had been verified. That is illegal and the fact that he knew the document could not be verified means that this was an intentional act of subterfuge on Comey’s part.

The CIA had already told Comey that Carter Page had been a long-time operative for them, which meant he was not a spy for the Russians, rather he was an informant against them.

That is the document that Kevin Clinesmith forged and a crooked judge allowed him to walk free even though he confessed. And guess what else? The bar association did not disbar him for forging the document. Lucky for him he isn’t a Republican, he would have gotten life.

The FBI had received warnings that Steele was not credible and that he hated Trump. The FBI was also informed that the Hillary campaign put forth the Russian collusion hoax in order to direct attention away from her email server scandal.

Despite having all of this evidence, James Comey plotted and tried to carry out a coup against a duly elected president. Comey even wrote a book, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.

Well, Comey is an expert on lies but the truth is he had no loyalty to his job and his leadership in passing on lies is now well documented. But, don’t expect John Durham to indict Comey or anyone else for that matter.

I am convinced that he is in cover-up mode and another previously good man sold his soul to the devil.

His entire investigation was a farce and Bill Barr was part of it in my opinion. I hope they prove me wrong.

John Solomon via Just The News reported:

It was in that environment in the final days of the Obama administration that Clapper had written Comey earlier on Jan. 12, 2017 to inform the FBI that Clapper had decided to release a public statement declaring that the Steele dossier was only mentioned in an appendix to the intel community’s report because the “IC has not made any judgment that the information in the document is reliable.”

Comey tried to push back, suggesting Steele was deemed reliable (he actually had been terminated by the FBI for leaking by that time) and that his network included sources that might be in a position to know things (although the key source had already disavowed the information attributed to him in the dossier).

“I just had a chance to review the proposed talking points on this for today,” Comey wrote Clapper. “Perhaps it is a nit, but I worry that it may not be best to say ‘the IC has not made any judgment that the information in the document is reliable.’ I say that because we HAVE concluded that the source is reliable and has a track record with us of reporting reliable information; we have some visibility into his source network, some of which we have determined to be sub-sources in a position to report on such things; and much of what he reports in the current document is consistent with and corroborative of other reporting included in the body of the main IC report.

Senior GOP Senate Source: Romney Blocking Sen. Ron Johnson From Subpoenaing Comey, Brennan

A senior GOP source has confirmed to the Gateway Pundit that Mitt Romney is the Senator leading the way on blocking the calling as witnesses, James Comey and John Brennan.

In an interview with Hugh Hewitt, Sen Ron Johnson indicated that at least one member of the committee he chairs is preventing him from subpoenaing James Comey and John Brennan. Unlike other Senate committees, Johnson’s committee has a Democratic majority 8-7 counting Mitt Romney. Little did we know that we dodged a bullet when Obama humiliated Romney in the 2012 election.

Hewitt tried to get Johnson to name names but he refused to do so. Romney, however cannot prevent Lindsey Graham and his  Senate Intelligence Committee can call them to testify before that committee. I am sure they have plenty of questions for that duo.

The senior GOP source said:

“Romney was for impeachment. He has been against Trump every step of the way. Now he is obstructing going after the leakers and liars who went after Trump.”

Hewitt kept trying to get Johnson to name names but I guess he was protecting Romney, who should not have a single committee post. Mitt Romney has been a big disappointment to the Republican party and we should not wait for him to make it official and drum him out of the party ourselves. My biggest regret in life is that I worked to get Romney elected in 2012. I’m glad I lost that fight.

Romney was doomed in that election due to a severe shortage of cojones. He allowed Obama to attack at will and put up no defense or offense of his own.

From 100% Fed Up

Johnson said Republican resistance had delayed his effort to subpoena Blue Star Strategies, a Democratic public relations firm that did work for Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company that Hunter Biden served on the board of. He also cited the lengthy criminal investigations and the coronavirus pandemic for delaying his committee’s ability to get documents from the FBI, which he said were essential before seeking live testimony from central witnesses.

Susan Rice’s email showed she knew Obama & Comey were wrong-She sought WH council advice.

Susan Rice’s email showed she knew Obama & Comey were wrong-She sought WH council advice.

Susan Rice attended a meeting where it was clear that Obama knew about the investigation into the Trump Campaign and she didn’t want to be used as a scapegoat. Obama knew Rice had been briefing Flynn on things going on but he instructed her and Comey that they may not want to be candid with the new administration about Flynn being investigated.

It is believed that Rice knew this was wrong and not the normal protocol when a new administration was taking over. She wrote the note so that if this was ever investigated they couldn’t say the meeting happened at a different time. She wanted it noted that it was on inauguration day.

New evidence is showing that the White House Council instructed her to write the letter. The only reason why she would have sought their advice is that she knew it wasn’t right.

Fox News By Yael Halon | Fox News

Historian and Hoover Institution senior fellow Victor Davis Hanson told “The Daily Briefing” Wednesday that Obama national security adviser Susan Rice was likely tired of being a “scapegoat” for the administration and was hoping to cover her tracks by writing the newly declassified email she sent to herself on Inauguration Day, 2017.

“During the Benghazi mess, she went out on the directive of Obama on five occasions and lied about the origins, genesis, and the cause of the disaster,” Hanson told host Dana Perino. “She was not going to be a scapegoat again.”

Hanson said Rice “played that role again and again … whenever there was a lie in the administration, it was traced back to her.

“And I think that she was kind of apprehensive,” he added, suggesting Rice’s thought process was “‘I’m not going to do this anymore. And I need a document that shows that I was just following Obama’s orders, but he was only following what other people told him.'”

Rice’s email documented a Jan. 5 Oval Office meeting with Obama and others, during which he provided guidance on how law enforcement should address Russian interference in the 2016 presidential race. Parts of the email had been previously released, but a section stating that then-FBI Director James Comey had suggested that the National Security Council (NSC) might not want to pass “sensitive information related to Russia” to Rice’s designated sucessor, Michael Flynn, had been classified as “TOP SECRET” until Tuesday.

Comey reportedly reassured Obama and promised he was proceeding “by the book,” — a term Rice emphasized three times throughout the email — and said that he had “no indication thus far that Flynn [had] passed classified information to [Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak].”

Hanson questioned Rice’s emphasis on operating “by the book,” which he said might indicate that Obama “ordered her or suggested that people might not want to be candid” in sharing information with Flynn pertaining to Russia.

Rice “was very worried that James Comey or Barack Obama or the mixture of the two might suggest that it happened in the past…,” Hansen explained, “and that she would be culpable.”

“So,” he went further, “if she ever got in trouble and lied about all of this to Flynn and others, she could say, ‘I went to a meeting and the president of the United States on the advice of James Comey said that there were some problems … and we might not be able to be candid about what we knew about Russia and this new administration.'”

Graham announces vote on subpoenas for Comey, Obama-era intel June 4th

Graham announces vote on subpoenas for Comey, Obama-era intel June 4th

Monday night Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) announced his panel will vote June 4 on a subpoena authorization to review documents and communications and solicit testimony from an array of senior Obama-era officials, including former FBI Director James Comey.

The subpoenas will cover “documents, communications and testimony from witnesses” including Comey, former FBI deputy director McCabe, former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan.

What’s next? Under Senate Judiciary Committee rules, the chairman cannot unilaterally issue a subpoena and must either receive the consent of the ranking member, in this case Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), or secure a majority committee vote.

Republicans do have the majority in the committee. Here are the committee members. https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/about/members

Let’s hope these subpoenas get passed and we start holding more people from the Obama administration accountable.

The Hill BY ALEXANDER BOLTON –

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) announced Monday evening that his panel will vote June 4 on a subpoena authorization to review documents and communications and solicit testimony from an array of senior Obama-era officials, including former FBI Director James Comey.

Graham announced in a press release that the subpoena vote will take place as part of his panel’s investigation into “FISA abuse” and the FBI probe “Crossfire Hurricane,” which investigated contacts between Trump advisers and Russian officials during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The subpoenas will cover “documents, communications and testimony from witnesses” including Comey, former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan.

Under Senate Judiciary Committee rules, the chairman cannot unilaterally issue a subpoena and must either receive the consent of the ranking member, in this case Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), or secure a majority committee vote.

Graham and Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) are spearheading Senate Republicans’ investigation into whether the FBI’s probe of the Trump campaign in 2016, which later evolved into former special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of possible collusion between Trump advisers and Russian officials, was politically motivated.

Republicans last week touted a declassified National Security Agency document released by acting DNI Richard Grenell showing that 39 former senior Obama administration officials — including Comey, Clapper and Brennan — requested authority to know the identity of an American whose conversations with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak were intercepted by U.S. intelligence.

Lindsey Graham wants to call Comey, McCabe to testify before Senate committee this summer

Lindsey Graham wants to call Comey, McCabe to testify before Senate committee this summer

Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Tuesday evening that he aims to get answers surrounding operation Crossfire Hurricane and the FBI’s involvement with the Russia investigation in hearings with former FBI Director James Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Lindsey Graham said he wants answers on what happened with operation Crossfire Hurricane, an investigation the FBI opened up to investigate whether or not the Trump Campaign of 2016 colluded with Russia.

More and more evidence is coming out that high officials in the FBI were biased and wanted to get rid of Trump. Graham said, “I think Crossfire Hurricane was one of the most unethical, sloppy, ill-conceived, and dangerous operations in the history of the FBI and the Department of Justice,” he remarked. “It wasn’t about protecting the Trump campaign, it was about trying to undermine it.”

While many rather see arrests happen, it is very important that the American citizens that have been lied to for almost four years learn the truth.

Let’s get this done before November.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Tuesday that he aims to get answers surrounding operation Crossfire Hurricane and the FBI’s involvement with the Russia investigation in hearings with former FBI Director James Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Appearing on ‘The Story” with host Martha MacCallum, Graham discussed the reasoning behind his plans, responding to a question about the investigation being conducted by U.S. Attorney John Durham.

“If you’re in the FBI and you were working during this period of time and you saw things that bothered you, please speak up,” he pleaded. “It’s a pretty intimidating seventh floor being in the FBI.”

The top brass of the FBI,  including Comey and McCabe when they were at the agency, has offices on the seventh floor.

“So, Durham’s going to look at criminality: whether somebody broke the law in the name of enforcing the law or whether they had a political bias and took the law in their own hands,” Graham explained. “As Judiciary Chairman, I’m going to try to explain to the country — have a public accounting of Crossfire Hurricane.”

“I think Crossfire Hurricane was one of the most unethical, sloppy, ill-conceived, and dangerous operations in the history of the FBI and the Department of Justice,” he remarked. “It wasn’t about protecting the Trump campaign, it was about trying to undermine it.”

“And, my goal is to have a public accounting — lay it out for the entire country and the world to see and after Durham and is done with his prosecutions,” Graham stated.

“You’re going to have Jim Comey and Andrew McCabe before the Senate Judiciary Committee, and when is that going to happen?” asked MacCallum.

“Probably in the summer,” he told MacCallum. “I’m going to do my homework first. I’m going to talk to people at the lower levels and I want to ask Comey and McCabe how they continued to get warrants against Carter Page after January 2017.”

“So, [the] bottom line is: we’re going to make them come and tell the story and ask them hard questions,” Graham concluded.

Geraldo Rivera: AG Barr interview should have Comey, Clapper, Brennan ‘quaking’ in their boots

Fox News correspondent at-large Geraldo Rivera is warning several Obama-era intelligence chiefs that they should be worried after Attorney General William Barr aired his concerns about the origins of the Mueller investigation in a new interview.

Fox News correspondent at-large Geraldo Rivera is warning several Obama-era intelligence chiefs that they should be worried after Attorney General William Barr aired his concerns about the origins of the Mueller investigation in a new interview.

During an appearance on “Fox & Friends” Friday, Rivera said it’s clear Barr wants to get to the bottom of the Russia probe’s origins and that he has “his target” on some of the biggest names associated with it.

“If I were James Comey right now or James Clapper right now or John Brennan right now, I would be quaking in my boots,” Rivera said.

“Why? Because the attorney general of the United States has set his target on you,” he said.

Barr has previously stated that he believes there was “spying” on the part of the FBI into the Trump campaign, using verbiage which has drawn criticism from former FBI director James Comey.

“The FBI does not ‘spy,’ we investigate,” Comey said in response during an interview earlier this month.

Rivera highlighted a number of questions he believes are likely being raised by Barr and others assisting in “investigating the investigators.”

“How long did you sustain that investigation of the Trump candidacy, the Trump transition, the Trump administration? What tools were employed? What foreign assets were employed?” he asked.

Trump slams ‘total sleaze’ Comey, ‘corrupt’ FBI leaders, after report bureau launched probe after director’s ouster

Trump slams ‘total sleaze’ Comey, ‘corrupt’ FBI leaders, after report bureau launched probe after director’s ouster

The White House lashed out against “disgraced partisan hack” James Comey and “a known liar” Andrew McCabe after a report that the FBI opened a secret inquiry into whether President Trump had been working on behalf of Russia against American interests following the firing of the FBI Director.

I love how one of the guests said that he was taught that the first three letters in news is, “NEW”. The Russia collusion investigation has not indited a single person on collision. They haven’t even revealed hard evidence that collusion even happened. And FBI should be investigated on how they have handled this entire allegation and investigation. If they want citizens to trust them again, they need to be more transparent and honest about how this has been handled. Fox News reports how Trump responded to the headline:

“Trump fired back on early Saturday morning, slamming “the corrupt former leaders of the FBI” for opening an investigation on him after firing “total sleaze” Comey.

“Wow, just learned in the Failing New York Times that the corrupt former leaders of the FBI, almost all fired or forced to leave the agency for some very bad reasons, opened up an investigation on me, for no reason & with no proof, after I fired Lyin’ James Comey, a total sleaze!” he wrote in a tweet.

“Funny thing about James Comey. Everybody wanted him fired, Republican and Democrat alike. After the rigged & botched Crooked Hillary investigation, where she was interviewed on July 4th Weekend, not recorded or sworn in, and where she said she didn’t know anything (a lie),” Trump continued, adding that “my firing of James Comey was a great day for America. He was a Crooked Cop.”

Stand strong President Trump and get some investigations going on the FBI.
