Ted Cruz Asks For DOJ Probe Into New York Nursing Home Deaths Scandal

Ted Cruz Asks For DOJ Probe Into New York Nursing Home Deaths Scandal

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and eight other Republican lawmakers on the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee have urged Chairman Dick Durbin (D-IL) to open an investigation into Governor Andrew Cuomo’s increasingly troublesome nursing some death scandal.

Wednesday night, the GOP lawmakers sent a letter asking Durbin to schedule hearings into the conduct of the Cuomo administration since it has been reported that it intentionally withheld the COVID-19 death numbers from nursing homes after Cuomo forced COVID-19 positive patients into nursing homes with the most vulnerable of our society for this pandemic virus, the elderly.

“The American people deserve to know the extent to which Governor Cuomo and his senior staff violated the civil rights of New York seniors, lied to the Department of Justice about their actions, and violated federal civil and criminal laws in the process,” the lawmakers wrote.

“That so many people needlessly lost their lives because of the failed policies of Governor Cuomo’s administration — an administration that many have lauded over the past year — is tragic and deserves a full investigation and accounting.”

Of course, you just know that Durbin and his cohorts in the party are going to use the Cuomo administration’s lie that they did it because President Donald Trump was pressuring them on Twitter.

The GOP Senators who signed with Cruz were Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), John Cornyn (R-TX), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Chuck Grassley (R-IA),  Josh Hawley (R-MO), Mike Lee (R-UT),  and Thom Tillis (R-NC).

In the letter sent to Durbin, the senators said they expect Merrick Garland, President Joe Biden’s attorney general nominee, to commit to investigating this growing scandal.

“When Judge Garland testifies before this Committee, we expect him to commit the Department of Justice to fully investigating this cover-up to determine whether any criminal laws were violated and to prosecute any violations,” they wrote.  Not that it will ever happen, because while Democrats make things up against Republicans out of thin air, they rarely ever go after one of their own, and the tyrant governor of New York is most definitely one of their own.

Richard Azzopardi, a spokesman for the governor, slimed on about Cruz’s request, “Every death in this pandemic is a tragedy and shame on the Treason Caucus for exploiting them to distract from fermenting the Capitol insurrection that resulted in the death of a police officer.”

Can you believe that?  This putz (a little cultural appropriation) tried to dilute the scandal by referring to a fake scandal against Senator Cruz where in the wake of the Capitol riot on January 6, the Democrats have tried to accuse Cruz of helping to incite the riot while he was inside the Capitol building doing exactly what the Democrats did for the last three Republican White House victories.  Azzopardi accused Cruz and the other Republicans of doing exactly what he did in the context of his accusation.  The Democrats are sick people.

Last week we reported that a Cuomo top aide, Melissa DeRosa, admitted to a bunch of state Democrats lawmakers that they withheld the COVID-19 nursing home death count over the fear that the numbers would be “used against us” by federal authorities.  Isn’t that called obstruction?  I thought the Democrats really hated obstruction.

This scandal was made public after New York Attorney General Letitia James reported that she discovered that COVID-19 nursing home deaths were 50 percent higher than Cuomo and the administration claimed.

Also on Wednesday Assemblyman Ron Kim (D-Queens) said he received a threatening phone call from Cuomo last week telling the assemblyman that he’d be “destroyed” if he didn’t help contain the situation.  Can you imagine?

Kim said he was “in the middle of bathing my kids,” when Cuomo asked him to write up a statement that would say that DeRosa told state lawmakers that they would comply with federal prosecutors.

Folks, that’s manufacturing false evidence, something the Democrats accused Trump of doing, except unlike the former president, Cuomo allegedly actually did if Kim is telling the truth.

Kim said that during the call Cuomo threatened him saying,  “You have not seen my wrath. I have been biting my tongue for months.”  The assemblyman said Cuomo then told him, “I can tell the whole world what a bad person you are and you will be finished.” Kim said, and concluded that the governor told him, “You will be destroyed.”

This is worse than any of the lies the Democrats made up about Republicans and apparently it’s a real scandal.

Last month, Cruz introduced an amendment to the COVID-19 relief package that called for a Department Of Justice investigation to determine if officials like Cuomo could be criminally or civilly liable for forcing COVID-19 patients into nursing homes.  The senator from Texas shouldn’t hold his breath because there is no way, no how that the Biden DOJ will ever hold Democrats accountable for what they did that ended up killing thousands of seniors.

Cuomo made good on his threats.  During a press conference on Wednesday, the governor attacked both Assemblyman Kim and the New York Post for having the gall to expose the nursing home scandal.

It now appears that fellow Democrats, who put up with Cuomo’s arrogance for way too long during the COVID-19 crisis, are now turning on him.  On Tuesday, nine state Assembly Democrats accused the governor of federal obstruction of justice in a letter that asks that Cuomo’s COVID-19 emergency powers be stripped.  Multiple state Senators asked for the same.

I am admittedly a partisan conservative, but I don’t take too much pleasure watching someone have the world come down on them, but in this case, I think it’s completely justified.  Andrew Cuomo has been an obnoxious and arrogant tyrant who not only botched his handling of the pandemic for New Yorkers and not only tried to blame everyone else for his and his administration’s negligence over the nursing home debacle, but he actually wrote a book about what an awesome job he did as governor handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

But, absolutely nothing will happen on the federal level as we now know that President Biden chose not to discuss the scandal during his White House meeting with the governor on Friday, saying “it was not a focus of their conversation or a topic.”

For those of you reading this who are admitted leftists I want you to do something for me.  I want you to close your eyes, take some deep, slow breaths, and once your mind has been cleared of everything, think to yourself, what if it was Donald Trump.

Former Democrat Rep. Tulsi Gabbard Said What Democrats and Big Tech Are Doing To Constitutional Rights Is Worse Than Capitol Rioters

Former Democrat Rep. Tulsi Gabbard Said What Democrats and Big Tech Are Doing To Constitutional Rights Is Worse Than Capitol Rioters

Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democrat Representative from Hawaii, gave a stark warning that certain people such as former Obama CIA director Jonn Brennan, California Democrat Representative Adam Schiff, and the Big Tech giants who have been “trying to undermine” the Constitutional rights of Americans are far more dangerous to our republic than the idiots who stormed the Capitol a few weeks ago.

“The mob that stormed the Capitol on January 6 to try to stop Congress from carrying out its constitutional responsibilities were behaving like domestic enemies of our country,” she tweeted out on Tuesday.

“But let’s be clear, the John Brennans, Adam Schiffs and the oligarchs in big tech who are trying to undermine our constitutionally-protected rights and turn our country into a police state with KGB-style surveillance are also domestic enemies — and much more powerful, and therefore dangerous, than the mob that stormed the Capitol.”  Amen, sister.

WATCH:

Gabbard shared a clip of Brennan on MSNBC discussing the Biden administration’s response to what he described as domestic terrorism.  How come he never called any of the continuous daily riots in Democrat-run cities across the country all summer long riots?  Did he think it really was a summer of love?

He told MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace that there has been a “growth in polarization in the United States and domestic violence and white supremacist groups.”

I think all white supremacists in the country combined can fit into the back seat of my Aunt Betty’s old 1970 Volkswagon Beetle.  Whenever they march for a Klan rally they ask for police protection because ten times as many counter-protesters show up that those clowns.   And can we please dispel the myth that the white supremacists and the Kluckers are right-wing fascists?  The Ku Klux Klan and all the white nationalists and white supremacists there all left-wing socialists.  For goodness sake, Richard Spencer endorsed Joe Biden, not Donald Trump. The white supremacists believe in government power and control therefore they believe in big government just like the Democrats.

WATCH:

“I know looking forward that the members of the Biden team who have been nominated or have been appointed, are now moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about what looks very similar to insurgency movements that we’ve seen overseas,” said Brennan, a grumpy Woke Supremamcist critic of now former President Trump.

According to Brennan, the “insurgency” brings together “religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians.”  OMG, not the libertarians!

Shifty Schiff was mentioned by Gabbard over a 2019 bill he introduced that would create a new federal statute for federal offenses for domestic terrorism.

Schiff also drew Gabbard’s ire for his 2019 bill to create a new statute for federal offenses of domestic terrorism as reported by Fox News.

The Confronting the Threat of Domestic Terrorism Act would cover terrorist acts not linked to foreign organizations and provide tools to investigators responding to such threats.  The problem that Americans are going to face with this is that the Democrats are going to define what constitutes “domestic terrorism.”  These are the same idiots who believe that a man wearing a dress who identifies as a woman is in fact a real woman.  Joe Biden just appointed one of them as the Assistant Health Secretary.

“When violence fueled by homegrown, hateful ideology poses a more immediate threat to the safety and security of Americans on American soil than an international terrorist organization, it’s time for our laws to catch up,” Schiff said in a statement outlining the contents of the bill.

“The bill is also narrowly tailored to violent terrorist acts, and includes a variety of civil liberties protections to ensure against its misuse.”

Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), who has a really bad relationship with the truth, proposed a similar piece of legislation to establish offices in the Justice Department, FBI, and Department of Homeland Security that would “analyze and monitor domestic terrorist activity.”

Folks, this is how the Democrats are setting up a surveillance state against anyone who disagrees with them politically.  They are making it illegal to disagree with the Woke Supremacy and they’re using Big Tech tyrants to silence the opposition.

Free speech advocates are coming together to express their concerns that the legislation Democrats are proposing is going to criminalize political rallies and will be used to silence any dissent.  Disagreeing with the government is as American as apple pie.

On Monday, during an appearance on Hill.TV’s “Rising,” Glenn Greenwald of The Intercept came out against Schiff’s bill saying, “What this law does that Adam Schiff proposed is to simply take the existing war on terror law that is devoted to foreign terrorist groups, and just amend it to say, ‘and domestic terror groups as well,’ which means criminalizing all kinds of protests, associational and even speech activities,” Greenwald said.

Gabbard called on Biden and Democrat lawmakers to stop pushing any measures that would infringe on the Constitutional right of Americans.

“President Biden, I call upon you and all members of Congress from both parties, to denounce these efforts by the likes of Brennan and others to take away the civil liberties that are endowed to us by our creator and guaranteed in our Constitution,” she said.

“If you don’t stand up to these people now, then our country will be in great peril.”

Gabbard has said some things in the past that come across as progressive as Bernie Sanders, but on this issue, she is spot on and other lawmakers had better listen to her call for shutting down the Sovietization of our country.

Democrats Objected to the Last 3 Republican Presidential Victories But Media Thinks 2020 GOP Objections Are Unprecedented

Democrats Objected to the Last 3 Republican Presidential Victories But Media Thinks 2020 GOP Objections Are Unprecedented

NBC host Chuck Todd, who is always in the running to overtake CNN’s Brian Stelter as the dumbest newsman in the news media, had it out with Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) over a number of Republican members of Congress who are planning to dispute the certification of Joe Biden winning the 2020 election due to questions of massive election fraud.

After being accused of trying to thwart the democratic process, Johnson hit back by telling sleepy eyes Todd that they are trying to protect it.

“We are not acting to thwart the democratic process, we are acting to protect it,” Johnson said to Todd.

“The fact of the matter is we have an unsustainable state of affairs in this country where we have tens of millions of people who do not view this election result as legitimate,” Johnson added.

The senator from Wisconsin added, “As long as somebody is going to be objecting to this and we’re going to take a vote, let’s propose a solution in terms of transparency, investigation, with a commission.”

Todd, like all mainstream news media activists, saw his job as trashing Johnson and continuing to spread the lie that there is no evidence of election fraud based on the courts dismissing multiple cases brought on by Republicans.  What Todd and every other left-wing activist with a news program forgets to mention is that none of the cases were tossed by judges based on bad evidence.  They were never allowed to even present their evidence before the judges threw out the cases.  Don’t you think that’s a pretty important fact that Todd should have acknowledged?

“You made an allegation there was widespread fraud, you have failed to offer specific evidence of that widespread fraud, but you’re demanding an investigation on the grounds that there are allegations of widespread fraud. So essentially you’re the arsonist here. President Trump is the arsonist here,” Todd spit out at Johnson.

Here’s the most frustrating thing about all of this.  There is massive amounts of evidence showing election fraud, but losers like Chuck Todd refused to air it.  There were legislature hearings in all of the key battleground states where whistleblowers and witnesses filed over a thousand affidavits signed upon penalty of perjury who testified to reveal election fraud they witnessed first hand.

The hearings were all aired on YouTube, because cretins like Chuck Todd refused to air them.  None of the mainstream news media outlets aired a single hearing, and I believe they stayed away from them so that they could continue to lie to their viewers about there being no evidence.

Here is just one example of an expert witness who testified as to the results of a 2020 voter data analysis he did for the Georgia election, where he discovered there were tens of thousands of fraudulent votes in numerous categories.

WATCH:

“Because you didn’t have the guts to tell the truth that this election was fair!” Todd continued.

Johnson fired back at the lamebrain pointing to him as being the arsonist because media types like Todd “dropped any pretense of being unbiased and actually chose sides during the election.”

Todd and others in the Fake News media are acting like the Republicans contesting the election results is an unprecedented affair.

Let me remind them that the last three times a Republican won a presidential election the Democrats in the House brought objections to the Electoral votes the Republican won.

Lest they forget that the House Democrats contested both elections of former President George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004 and President Trump’s win in 2016.

WATCH:

Senator Josh Hawley (R- MO) announced last week that he will object to Electoral College certification, and that brought a large amount of condemnation from Democrats who praised their own party’s objections to GOP victories in 2000, 2004 and 2016.  Democrats always accuse Republicans of doing things that they actually did.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called the Republican’s objections to the 2020 election “conspiracy and fantasy.”  I’d love to know how much Schumer is involved in the attempts to steal the Georgia senate runoff elections being held today.

Schumer said, “The effort by the sitting president of the United States to overturn the results is patently undemocratic. The effort by others to amplify and burnish his ludicrous claims of fraud is equally revolting.”

So, then what would he call when the Democrats did it three times?  The clowns literally claimed Donald Trump was a Russian asset after his 2016 victory.

“This is America. We have elections. We have results. We make arguments based on the fact and reason—not conspiracy and fantasy,” he added. He said this even though he know that Democrats have been challenging the electoral vote for every Republican victory for decades.

In 2005, Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), along with Representative Stephanie Tubbs (D-OH), objected to Bush’s 2004 electoral votes in Ohio.

Democrats championed Boxer’s actions at the time, including Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL).  Yet last week, Durbin described Republican objections as “the political equivalent of barking at the moon.”  Speaking of barking at the moon, Durbin is a known liar who throws out lies to push conspiracy theories.

The fact of the matter is the Constitution provides lots of remedies for situations we are in right now.  Donald Trump won the 2020 election by a landslide, and the Democrats stole it from him.  You have to be dumb as a box of hair or a CNN viewer to not understand that after the evidence has been presented from all battleground states.  It’s overwhelming, despite the fact that the Democrats and their boot-licking sycophants in the mainstream news media ignore or lie about it.  The Republicans have every right to object.

Longest-Serving Democratic State House Speaker in America Losing His Grip on Power…Caught in Corruption

Longest-Serving Democratic State House Speaker in America Losing His Grip on Power…Caught in Corruption

Another Democrat has been caught up in corruption and members of both parties in Illinois are calling for him to resign.

Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan, nicknamed “The Velvet Hammer” may soon be gone from Illinois politics after it was discovered that he was selling his influence to the highest bidder.

Madigan had been the most influential member of the Illinois legislature for decades but he will soon limp away from the halls where he wielded that power in disgrace.

His scandal is being blamed for the parties’ dismal showing in this year’s election. But before the election, no one had called for his resignation.

I guess you get to remain in office as a Democrat until it starts costing the Democrats power. At that point, you are toast.

Politico:

Madigan’s exit would bring practical concerns for Democrats, and not just in Illinois: Despite having a Democratic supermajority, the speaker’s allies in labor and in the General Assembly worry ousting Madigan now could jeopardize their control over the next redistricting process, which begins in 2021. There is also fear around being alienated from him and “The Program,” Madigan’s fundraising operation and an army of volunteers that help candidates win campaigns.

Madigan, known as the “Velvet Hammer,” could afford to lose only 13 votes in the Illinois House and hold on as speaker — a figure he hit early this week. By Thursday night, 17 had defected as he sought to defend himself (the number grew to 18 on Friday morning).

Sen Dick Durbin, Sen Tammy Duckworth and Governor Pritzker have all called on Madigan to step down. They say that other Democrats were tarred as allies of the Speaker and that hurt them.

He will be missed next year as the legislature redraws the maps for their House seats. His leadership and ability to raise money will no longer be available to them.

Durbin said:

“All across our state — and the advertising told the story — we paid a heavy price for the speaker’s chairmanship of the Democratic Party. Candidates who had little or no connection with [Madigan] whatsoever were being tarred as Madigan allies who are behind corruption and so forth and so on.”

Dem Candidate Drops Out After Media Covers her Sadistic Behavior, Progressive PAC “Run For Something” Fails

Dem Candidate Drops Out After Media Covers her Sadistic Behavior, Progressive PAC “Run For Something” Fails

An independent journalist who has been covering the riots around the country and who has chronicled the activities of a loosely formed group of violent “protesters” named Antifa, posted about a radical Democrat Candidate for City Council in Dupage County Ill, who was boasting about her enjoyment of watching footage of a police officer being attacked during a violent uprising in Portland, while the Federal Officer protected the Federal Court House.

Republican Senator from Texas, Ted Cruz posted about the incident on Twitter, from Ngo’s post and started a firestorm of media attention:

Andy Ngo  posted that the Candidate  has now dropped out, showing the power of Independent Media, and proving Ngo’s opinion is right when he says that the Mainstream Media is giving the left cover which allows them to coniue their Anti-Amerian acts.

“A Democratic candidate for the DuPage County board withdrew from the race after apologizing for a tweet in which she said she laughed repeatedly at a video of a law enforcement officer getting hit in the face with a projectile.

Twenty-year-old Hadiya Afzal attracted national attention and said she was targeted by a “harassment campaign” after Texas Sen. Ted Cruz posted on Twitter that her comment was “Hateful & sick,” the Chicago Tribune posted.

We covered the story HERE.

Afzal’s campaign boasted number high profile endorsements including most of DC’s highest profile radicals.

Radical left Senator or ILL Dick Durbin, and Run For Something, a PAC with ties to Former Sec, of State, Hillary Clinton, who describe themselves on their site as,”Run for Something works exclusively with progressive Millennials and Gen-Zers running for local office for the first or second time.”

Afzal’s focus was going to be on transforming the suburbs, according to her campaign site, ““The suburbs are incredibly important in the fight to mitigate carbon emissions and it’s time to not only acknowledge that but act on it by electing climate progressives at the local level.”

Much of Afzal’s social media has been deleted or locked down, after she posted a statement declaring herself the victim and a target of racist harassment.

Muslim Democrat Political Candidate Says She’s Been Watching Video of Assault of Federal Officer on Repeat, Laughing Non-Stop

Muslim Democrat Political Candidate Says She’s Been Watching Video of Assault of Federal Officer on Repeat, Laughing Non-Stop

One thing you can say about Muslim Democrat candidate for Dupage County Board (District 4), Hadiya Afzal, She’s unfit for dog catcher. Afzal, who has been endorsed by none other than Hillary Clinton, says that she watched a video of an assault on a federal officer and that she couldn’t stop laughing.

Afzal ran for the office before and lost. I remember because as I watched the election results and saw that she lost, I laughed and laughed and laughed.

Afzal tweeted that she was a “victim” of a bad faith smear. What part of laughing non stop does she think we don’t understand? She has also been endorsed by Dick Durbin. Democrats always circle the wagons in defense of one of their own no matter how despicable he or she is.

Afzal wrote:

“The comment, taken out of context, is extremely disappointing. I do not condone violence in any form, and indeed have been one of many voices calling for policy changes to our policing problems today. The specific related video showed a federal officer throwing a water bottle at unarmed protesters, unprovoked, and having it returned seconds later. I regret the comment and apologize to any individuals hurt by the remark. I do believe, however, we must continue to push back against extrajudicial encroachment in municipal matters by the federal government…’

It must be pointed out in her description of the events, she left out that the federal agents had been under attack by the domestic terrorists. You would think she would have mentioned that since she belongs to the political party that revels in domestic terrorism and defends them to the death.

Don’t we have enough anti-American officeholders as it is? We really don’t need any more.

Tensions flare over GOP’s Obama probes

Tensions flare over GOP’s Obama probes

Tensions between the Democrats and Republicans are flaring as the GOP calls for investigation into Obama Administration Officials. All this flared up after the truth behind Flynn’s case was revealed.

The truth is, the only reason why tensions are up is because the Democrats do not like probes into their dirty closet. They could cooperate with the investigations because they say they believe no one is above the law. But we know, according to Democrats, that is only true when it applies to Republicans.

Chuck Schumer said Republicans are chasing a “wild conspiracy theory.”

Considering evidence has already surfaced about the false premise on the dossier and the unconstitutional setup of Flynn, this isn’t a conspiracy. There are hard facts that are calling for further investigations. Unlike the wild conspiracy theory Democrats conjured up about the Trump campaign colluding with Russia. They had zero evidence so they created a fake dossier and then launched a 25 million dollar investigation that proved no collusion. Even Adam Schiff held interviews that proved, no collusion. Now that was a false conspiracy theory that cost the United States millions of dollars. Not to mention divided our country.

The Hill BY JORDAIN CARNEY –

Tensions are flaring in the Senate as Republicans prepare to ramp up their investigations into Obama-era officials.

Amid public and private pressure from President Trump, GOP senators are increasingly embracing calls to use their congressional power to investigate some of Trump’s biggest grievances stemming from the Obama administration, including the origins of the Russia investigation, the court established by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and Hunter Biden.

Democrats argue Republicans are using their committee gavels to probe Trump’s political enemies, an effort they say is designed to hunt for political fodder against former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, while inadvertently spreading Russian misinformation.

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) railed against Republicans, saying they were chasing a “wild conspiracy theory.”

“Senate Republicans are diving head-first into the muck to smear the family — the family — of the president’s political opponent. It is such a gross misuse of the power of the majority,” Schumer added.

Those frustrations are poised to come to a head as two committee chairmen — Sens. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) — have vowed to hold votes on subpoenas as part of their investigations over the objections of Democrats.

Graham is asking for the Judiciary Committee to vote to give him broad subpoena authority to call dozens of officials to testify, either in depositions or hearings, as part of his investigation into the FISA court and “Crossfire Hurricane,” the name of the FBI’s investigation into Russia’s election meddling and the 2016 Trump campaign.

“We’re going to investigate the investigators, and try to find out how Crossfire Hurricane got off the rails,” Graham said.

The subpoena will be on the committee’s agenda Thursday, but the vote is expected to take place on June 4. Under a timeline outlined by Graham, he would release a report on his findings by October, saying he wants “to do it before the election.”

“I want to get all the information out there. … I’m trying to explain to the American people what happened with Crossfire Hurricane,” Graham said when asked if releasing a report in October would look like he was trying to influence the November election.

Meanwhile, Johnson will hold a vote on his own subpoena as part of an investigation into Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son, and Burisma Holdings.

Johnson is set to have the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee vote on Wednesday on subpoenaing Blue Star Strategies, a firm with ties to Burisma.

The subpoena vote is just one part of a wide-ranging, and controversial, investigation Johnson is conducting with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) to look into potential wrongdoing or conflicts of interest during the Obama administration. Though Trump has floated the discredited narrative that Joe Biden tried to remove Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin to protect his son, there was bipartisan concern about Shokin at the time and no evidence has emerged to indicate the Bidens engaged in criminal wrongdoing.

Johnson and Grassley on Tuesday also released the declassified version of an email former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice sent regarding a January 2017 Oval Office meeting where the Russia investigation was discussed before Trump was sworn in.

The letter marked the latest move over the past few weeks in which the two GOP chairmen, aided by Trump administration officials, have secured and released long sought-after information.

Those high-profile steps have left Democrats fuming, arguing that Republicans are pursuing political probes amid a global health crisis.

“What a disappointment. To think that this great Senate Judiciary Committee has been absent without leave throughout this whole controversy involving the coronavirus, and is now going to revert to a cheap political trick just months before the election,” said Sen. Dick Durbin (Ill.), the No. 2 Senate Democrat. “I’m sorry that Sen. Graham decided to choose this path.”

Asked if there were any Republicans who would not support the subpoena, Durbin responded, “That would be a real shock and surprise.”

‘Squad’ member Pressley pushing Kavanaugh impeachment inquiry, despite allegation concerns

‘Squad’ member Pressley pushing Kavanaugh impeachment inquiry, despite allegation concerns

Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., one of the four freshman congresswomen known collectively as the “Squad,” is planning Tuesday to introduce a resolution seeking an impeachment inquiry into Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh, despite reluctance from top Democrats to pursue one and concerns about the basis for the latest accusations.

The resolution follows a New York Times report that included a new allegation of sexual misconduct from when Kavanaugh was in college — although an editors’ note later revealed that the alleged victim did not recall it taking place. In a statement, Pressley only focused on the women who came forward during Kavanaugh’s confirmation process.

“I believe Christine Blasey Ford. I believe Deborah Ramirez,” Pressley said in a statement shared by Boston.com reporter Nik DeCosta-Klipa, which Pressley retweeted from her official Twitter account. “It is our responsibility to collectively affirm the dignity and humanity of survivors.”

Pressley also used her personal Twitter account to retweet a post that included images of what appears to be text from the resolution. It calls for “Inquiring whether the House of Representatives should impeach Brett Michael Kavanaugh, Associate Justice for the Supreme Court of the United States of America,” and for the House Judiciary Committee to conduct depositions and take affidavits, serving subpoenas if necessary.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., who heads the House Judiciary Committee, has not necessarily come out against impeaching Kavanaugh. But he made clear it was not a top priority for his committee.

“We have our hands full with impeaching the president right now,” Nadler said on a radio show Monday.

Top-ranking Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., outright rejected the calls.

“We’ve got to get beyond this ‘impeachment is the answer to every problem,” Durbin said, according to Politico. “It’s not realistic. If that’s how we are identified in Congress, as the impeachment Congress, we run the risk that people will feel we’re ignoring the issues that mean a lot to them as families.”

Amendments to Block Stimulus Payments Going to Illegal Aliens and Prisoners Rejected By Senate Democrats

Amendments to Block Stimulus Payments Going to Illegal Aliens and Prisoners Rejected By Senate Democrats

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is bragging that the Senate delivered relief for New York.

“We just delivered robust, bold COVID relief for New York The #AmericanRescuePlan delivers $100 billion for NY families, workers, people, small businesses including restaurants and stages, state and local governments, vaccines This bill will help almost every single New Yorker”

What didn’t make it onto his social media account is how on Saturday the Senate Democrats rejected the coming COVID stimulus relief payments to illegal aliens who are living in our country illegally and to criminals currently in prison.  I’m trying to find out if the Democrats gave more money to prisoners the way they originally did for illegals.  Initially, Pelosi and Schumer offered $600 to American citizens and $1,800 to illegal aliens, fully three times as much as American citizens.  That was until then-President Donald Trump stepped in and gave a speech talking about how disgraceful an act that was.

Prior to passing the outrageous $1.9 trillion stimulus bill filled with bailouts for Democrat-run cities and states that screwed up their economies long before COVID-19 came along, along with billions of dollars going to crazy things that have absolutely nothing to do with fighting COVID, things like $300 million going to the Agriculture Department to “conduct monitoring and surveillance of susceptible animals for incidence of SARS–CoV–2,” and $135 million to the National Endowment for the Arts and matching payments of $135 million to the National Endowment of the Humanities, neither of which have been open during the pandemic nor have anything to do with fighting COVID-19, Congressional Republicans offered up numerous amendments to make sure that Americans who need the relief the most would get it first.  The Democrats rejected every one of them.

GOP senators were unable to strip any of the pork out of the bill when it was passed without a single Republican senator voting in favor, even the RINOs.

In an effort to do the right thing, to send the right message, and to save the American taxpayers about $2 billion three Republican senators, Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Tom Cotton (R-AR), and Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced an amendment that would have stopped payments going to “any individual who is incarcerated in a Federal or State prison.”  The Democrats rejected it by a vote of 49-50.

In a statement, Cassidy said, “Prisoners do not pay taxes. Taxpayers pay for their every need. Inmates cannot stimulate the economy. But, under this bill they receive stimulus checks. This is a perfect example of nontargeted, inappropriate, and total waste of spending. It’s ridiculous that this is in the bill.”

And to think, the Democrats got the majority by pulling the same crap in the two Georgia Senate elections that they did during the 2020 presidential election.  They announce they were going to stop counting votes the night of the Senate elections and resume in the morning yet we witnessed the numbers for Democrats shoot up in the middle of the night when no one was supposed to be counting ballots.

Ted Cruz also introduced an amendment to the bill that would have stopped payments going out to illegal aliens.  The Democrats also rejected that proposal 49-50.  Who is the lone Republican who didn’t vote?

Cruz took to social media to let the American people know what the Democrats had done before the Democrats spin machines, er… I mean the mainstream media filtered the message in favor of the Democrats.

Joe Biden and the Democrats want to give illegal aliens $1,400 COVID relief checks.

I proposed an amendment to prevent that from happening.”

“This amendment before us today provides that the stimulus checks should not go to illegal aliens in this country,” Cruz said while introducing the amendment in the Senate. “The question for the American people to answer is, should your money, should taxpayer money, be sent, $1,400, to every illegal alien in America?”

The senator from Texas tweeted again about a quarter-hour later.

“Democrats just voted against my amendment that would have prevented American taxpayer dollars from being handed out to illegal aliens in the form of $1,400 stimulus checks.”

Senate Majority Whip Dick Durban (D-Ill.), however, accused Cruz of being dishonest.

“The statement of the senator from Texas is just plain false. False! Let me be clear: Undocumented immigrants do not have Social Security numbers, and they do not qualify for stimulus relief checks,” Durbin said according to The Hill.

Then how come it was previously reported that the Democrats allotted $1,800 to go to illegal aliens and only $600 to US citizens?  Cruz was simply wanting to make sure that when the House gets the bill back from the Senate crazy Nany won’t try to put an illegal alien provision in.

Other amendments to the bill that were rejected by the Democrats include one to allow Keystone XL pipeline construction to continue, one to provide more targeted pandemic relief, and another one to require in-person classroom learning for education funding, among other amendments.

The Democrats rejected them all.
