Big tech is cracking down on free speech and I guaranty you that the new administration and Congress will not act to correct it.
Democrats owe them so much. Don’t be surprised if all antitrust suits against the Masters of the Universe are dropped immediately or at least in a minimal amount of time.
Even as we speak Facebook, Twitter and Amazon are shutting down individuals and groups who are conservative.
That includes Ali Alexander, Michael Coudrey, Gen. Mike Flynn, Sidney Powell, and Lin Wood who have been permanently banned. But liberal sites who spew hatred on a daily basis are members in good standing.
Other platforms are doing the same thing. As soon as a rumor came out that President Trump had joined Parler, the Masters have started attacking them for allowing free speech.
They claim they are not publishers but publishers do not censor material. They are in violation of section 230 in my not so humble opinion. Publishers edit material.
You can expect things to get much worse between now and the midterm elections in 2022. They will have to work so much harder to hide the truth from voters since the policies of the far left Democrats will dominate during the Harris administration. The Democrats will roll on Biden if he does not become an extremist.
Biden is an opportunist and he could go that way. But if not, expect him to be removed from office due to limited mental capacity. He was only a figurehead chosen because Kamala couldn’t win a single delegate during the primaries.
Now they are in, all bets are off. Harris was the most extreme Senator in 2020. More so than even what we believe are the most extreme such as Bernie Sanders, Chuck Schumer and Ed Masrkey.
At the same time, Parler was warned by both the Apple and Google stores that if they did not impose moderation on their free speech platform within 24 hours they would be banned entirely.
“We have received numerous complaints regarding objectionable content in your Parler service, accusations that the Parler app was used to plan, coordinate, and facilitate the illegal activities” at the US Capitol on 6 January, Apple wrote in an email to Parler executives. “The app also appears to continue to be used to plan and facilitate yet further illegal and dangerous activities.”
On Friday, Twitter permanently banned hundreds, if not thousands, of Trump supporters and prominent allies — before banning the president himself.
Nearly every account that helped to promote the Stop the Steal rallies or challenge the election results were banned, including Ali Alexander, Michael Coudrey, Gen. Mike Flynn, Sidney Powell, and Lin Wood. Countless smaller accounts that supported the president were also getting suspended in a seemingly constant rate.
After the Presidential Election of 2020 has been winding around the courts, supporter of President Donald J. Trump are eager to show their continued support of his candidacy and of him personally. With that goal in mind a march has been organized in Washington DC for Saturday.
Attempting to prevent the showing of Trump supporters, numerous obstacles have been set out to prevent the March from happening, yet Trump’s supporter are undeterred, and have even started early.
MSNBC guy says Biden camp is terrified that a Biden inauguration would turn into a MillionMAGAmarch ….
But supporters of President Donald J. Trump aren’t waiting for January. An event has been scheduled for Saturday, on Nov. 14 in Washington DC, and the support for Trump in the streets has already started, according to numerous reports.
WUSA reported, “Protesters were in downtown DC near the White House on Wednesday in support of President Donald Trump’s claims of voter fraud in the 2020 Election.
The line of cars had Trump campaign flags, American flags and a variety of signs in support of the President and his agenda.
Protesters in DC on Thursday come a few days before the Million Maga March and other pro-Trump rallies this coming Saturday, which are being held in Washington and other parts of the country.”
Shortly after announcing the event, an announcement that Democrat Muriel Bowser, DC’s Mayor, “has imposed new #COVID19 restrictions for anyone coming to Washington, DC from 42 of the 50 states. Visitors coming to DC from a state classified as high-risk will be required to take a virus test & receive a negative result within 72 hrs before traveling.”
The left’s use of Cancel Culture, or using corporations to punish political opponents has been deployed by Airbnb, and spread around on the media, as a shaming tactic:
According to the event organizer, Amy Kremer, eventbrite canceled the event and contacted the participants, a strange breach of privacy. Kremer posted about it on her Twitter timeline.
Even though lawmakers plan to be in attendance,
And the Trump campaign is predicting a large turnout,
According to The Hill:
“White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said on Thursday that she expects the turnout at Saturday’s “Million MAGA March” in support of President Trump to be “quite large.”
The event is set to take place in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, one week after news networks projected that Trump had lost the presidential election to Democrat Joe Biden. Trump has refused to concede the race and the Saturday events seem intended to bolster him.
“I think it’s going to be quite large, um, from what I’m hearing, don’t have an estimate for you,” McEnany said on Fox News when asked about the event.
Disparate groups are reportedly preparing for the event, with one gathering scheduled to take place at the Freedom Plaza in downtown Washington, D.C., at 12 p.m. with a march to the Supreme Court at 2 p.m.
A counterprotest called “F— MAGA” has also been planned by All Out DC to happen nearby.”
Opinion| Dr. Robert Epstein is the senior research psychologist at the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology. He has been conducting pioneer research on Big Tech’s ability to rig an election through the use of algorithms that determine search results.
“Google, Inc., has amassed far more power to control elections—indeed, to control a wide variety of opinions and beliefs—than any company in history has ever had. Google’s search algorithm can easily shift the voting preferences of undecided voters by 20 percent or more—up to 80 percent in some demographic groups—with virtually no one knowing they are being manipulated.”
Since then Epstein has stepped up his research… research that he shared during an interview with Breitbart’s Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow…
“People don’t understand how big this threat is, you mentioned that leak, that video that you exposed which was quite astonishing. One of the things that was said there by one of their top executives is ‘we’re going to use every means at our disposal, all of Google’s power to make sure Trump isn’t re-elected’ so if they’re using every single means at their disposal, then they’re using all of the techniques that I’ve discovered and probably more that I haven’t discovered yet. That’s enough to shift roughly ten percent of the voting population of the United States with no one knowing they’re being manipulated and no paper trail for authorities to trace.”
This all highlights the brilliance of Donald Trump who has managed to defy Big Tech’s efforts to destroy the movement he’s leading by constantly engaging both the legacy media and on social media in the most direct manner conceivable.
Trump has made it impossible for people to ignore him thereby forcing them to engage in the issues he’s passionate… and they’re passionate about…
How many times have you heard a friend say…
“I love Trump’s policies. I just wish he wouldn’t tweet so much”
This is long overdue considering the number of conservative outlets that have brought up complaints and lawsuits against the big tech companies. If you recall Prager U sued YouTube in 2017 and lost. The judge said that 1 st Amendment rights didn’t apply on the platforms. But this new bill allows the tech companies to be sued for bias censorship.
Fox News reported this Wednesday morning:
Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., introduced legislation Wednesday to give Americans the ability to sue major tech companies like Facebook, Google and Twitter if they engage in selective censorship of political speech.
The Limiting Section 230 Immunity to Good Samaritans Act, cosponsored by Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., Mike Braun, R-Ind., and Tom Cotton, R-Ark., would stop such companies from receiving immunity under section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, unless they update their terms of service to promise to operate in good faith.
“For too long, Big Tech companies like Twitter, Google and Facebook have used their power to silence political speech from conservatives without any recourse for users,” Hawley said in a statement. “Section 230 has been stretched and rewritten by courts to give these companies outlandish power over speech without accountability. Congress should act to ensure bad actors are not given a free pass to censor and silence their opponents.”
The bill would allow users to sue companies for breaching that contractual duty of good faith, and it would make them pay $5,000 plus legal fees to each user who prevails in a case against them.
On a separate track — reflecting renewed pressure on these companies out of Washington — Fox News has learned that the Justice Department is recommending that lawmakers pass new legislation that would hold tech giants liable for content posted online. Any such legislation would roll back legal protections the online platforms have possessed for decades.
The DOJ will propose extensive changes to the law in question, Section 230, as early as Wednesday afternoon, according to DOJ officials.
On the heels of reports of big tech teaming with the federal government to create a social credit system to determine citizens’ rights to own firearms, comes this chilling scenario.
The federal government has demanded that Google and Apple hand over the names, phone numbers, and other identifying information of over 10,000 users of a gun scope app named Obsidian 4.
The Obsidian 4 app allows gun owners to live stream, calibrate the scope, or take video with the use of their iPhone or Android device.
This is the first time big tech companies have been asked to release the information of so many thousands of American citizens in one sweep. The information is being requested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to stop the illegal export of a night vision scope manufactured by American Technologies Network Corp. It is inevitable that the information of thousands of innocent American citizens will end up in the hands of the feds. This is equivalent to a local police force obtaining search warrants for a whole town to find one drug dealer, and is a major invasion of law abiding citizens’ privacy.
This is just the first step in a slippery slope of the government invading citizens’ privacy in order to disarm the nation. Outlined in a Washington Post report last week, there are projects being considered by the Trump administration to use information gathered by Google, Amazon, and Apple to determine individuals who may exhibit violent behavior and limit their access to firearms. A new agency called the Health Advanced Research Projects Agency, or HARPA, would fall under the purview of the Health and Human Services Department. The director would be appointed by the President and would have its own budget.
The report states:
“HARPA would develop ‘breakthrough technologies with high specificity and sensitivity `for early diagnosis of neuropsychiatric violence,’ says a copy of the proposal. ‘A multi-modality solution, along with real-time data analytics, is needed to achieve such an accurate diagnosis.’ The document goes on to list a number of widely used technologies it suggests could be employed to help collect data, including Apple Watches, Fitbits, Amazon Echo and Google Home. The document also mentions “powerful tools” collected by health-care provide[ers] like fMRIs, tactography and image analysis.”
Essentially, American citizens will have opted in to allowing the government to surveil their every move with the use of these “home assistants.” But it doesn’t stop there. They would have access to your vitals via your fitness watches and your medical records from your healthcare providers, video of your movements within your homes via the cameras in the refrigerator or your mobile phone. The entire “internet of things” would be tasked with watching you, waiting to diagnose you. This would be a massive overreach by any government, but especially that in the “land of the free.”
Renowned pro-Trump meme maker Carpe Donktum launched his new website MemeWorld.com Tuesday. Just before launch, Carpe announced his site on Twitter, saying it is a collaboration of some of the “greatest meme minds on Planet Earth.” Carpe was inspired to launch his site in order to have a place to preserve memes where they would be safe from big tech censorship. Ironically, minutes following the website launch, Facebook blocked the link citing its infamous “community standards.” Not only was the link blocked from the Facebook site and app, it has also been censored in the Facebook Messenger app, as well as Facebook owned Whatsapp, a private messaging application. That’s right, now they are censoring your private messages.
Big tech censorship is nothing new to conservative or libertarian content creators and commentators. The blocking of MemeWorld.com is just the latest in a long list of deplatformings. Individuals such as Alex Jones, Milo Yiannopoulos, Laura Loomer, Gavin McInnes, and Joe Biggs have all been completely banned from using any type of social media. It is so severe Laura Loomer is no longer allowed to use Uber.
President Trump and Congress have been critical of big tech censorship, going so far as to host Congressional hearings and White House meetings regarding the issue. On December 11, 2018, Google CEO Sundar Pichai testified before the House Judiciary Committee regarding a broad range of topics, including potential political bias, the company’s dealings in China, and privacy practices. Google is the largest search engine in the world, owning a 90% market share according to StatCounter. When asked if Google would commit to ending discriminatory practices, Mr. Pichai denied the company uses any discriminatory practices in its search results.
On July 17, 2019, Google Vice President of global government affairs and public policy Karan Bhatia testified before House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution. He stated, “We don’t use blacklists [or] whitelists to influence our search results.” When asked for what reason Google would blacklist a company, he stated, ““As I said, per your previous question, we do not utilize blacklists or whitelists in our search results to favor political outcomes,” he insisted. “That’s not, doesn’t happen.”
Did two high level executives of Google commit perjury before the United States government? Last week, senior Google software engineer Zach Vorhies released a cache of internal Google documents to Project Veritas, proving the Mr. Pichai’s and Mr. Bhatia’s claims wrong. Google does, in fact, blacklist certain organizations. Among those being censored are InfoWars, The Gateway Pundit, LifeNews, and Project Veritas itself. This has terrifying and serious consequences for our nation’s elections.
Dr. Robert Epstein, former editor in chief of Psychology Today, current senior research psychologist at the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology, and contributing editor for Scientific American Mind, also testified before Congress. During Senator Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) questioning, Mr. Epstein dropped some very interesting results from his studies. He found that Google alone swayed between 2.6 million and 10.4 million additional voters to vote for Hillary Clinton. This was accomplished through non- competitive tactics such as the search engine manipulation effect, the search suggestion effect, and the answer bot effect that are solely at Google’s disposal. It was also revealed during this line of questioning that Alphabet, parent company of Google, was the number one financial contributor to Clinton’s 2016 campaign. Dr. Epstein went on to say that in 2020, if big tech giants Google, Facebook, and Twitter joined forces behind one single candidate, the affects would be diabolical.
Dr. Epstein has spent the bulk of the week defending his study after Hillary Clinton herself attacked its validity via Twitter.
“The debunked study you’re referring to was based on 21 undecided voters. For context that’s about half the number of people associated with your campaign who have been indicted.”
Dr. Epstein responded with the actual scope of his study:
“#Trump tweet, point #1: I’ve never said that #Google deliberately “manipulated” the 2016 election, but I measured substantial pro-#Hillary bias in #Google’s search results by preserving & analyzing 13,207 election-related searches & the 98,044 web pages linked to those searches.”
Dr. Epstein’s essays on the topic have been published in a volume at Oxford University.
While there has certainly been a lot of rhetoric regarding big tech censorship, we haven’t seen any tangible results. The fact remains that big tech is censoring what we can and cannot see, and vastly manipulating American voters. They are in effect, shaping the world around us. President Trump will certainly be fighting an uphill battle leading up to the 2020 presidential election if actions aren’t taken soon.
On Thursday, Secretary Mike Pompeo released the following press statement about a new “Emerging Technologies Department”, detailing a reorganization, which not everyone in the Government is pleased about.
In 2019 Brian Mazanec, Director in GAO’s Defense Capabilities and Management team, was interviewed. He was not pleased about Pompeo’s new Cybersecurity Department, saying, “State is undertaking this proposed reorganization is to improve the effectiveness of their coordination with other agencies, which again, it’s ironic that they didn’t coordinate with set agencies and establishing their plan for the bureau. But it’s definitely very important. These are complex, interagency challenges involving issues such as supply chain security, fifth-generation, wireless technology, TikTok, etc. — issues that you see in the news every day.”
There appears to be a conflict between Government agencies over 5G.
On Thursday, Pompeo’s plan for cybersecurity moved ahead. From the Press release:
Secretary Pompeo has approved the creation of the Bureau of Cyberspace Security and Emerging Technologies (CSET) and has directed the Department to move forward with standing up the bureau. The need to reorganize and resource America’s cyberspace and emerging technology security diplomacy through the creation of CSET is critical, as the challenges to U.S. national security presented by China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and other cyber and emerging technology competitors and adversaries have only increased since the Department notified Congress in June 2019 of its intent to create CSET.
The CSET bureau will lead U.S. government diplomatic efforts on a wide range of international cyberspace security and emerging technology policy issues that affect U.S. foreign policy and national security, including securing cyberspace and critical technologies, reducing the likelihood of cyber conflict, and prevailing in strategic cyber competition. The Secretary’s decision to establish CSET will permit the Department to posture itself appropriately and engage as effectively as possible with partners and allies on these pressing national security concerns.
From the 2019 interview, Mazanec talked about the move for independence for the State Department with the news agency:
“The six agencies that we focused on were the Department of Commerce, Defense, Energy, Homeland Security, Justice, and the Treasury Department. We selected them in part because of the key role they play in partnering with the State in addressing some of these issues. And in fact, they all work together within the National Security Council in a new cyber response group that was established by a presidential directive in July of 2016. So these are some of the key players, and that’s why we selected them.
There are certainly other federal entities that also would coordinate with this new Bureau and work with State on cyber issues. But these were the big players. And we did meet with all of them and talk about them, their role in State’s plans here. And what we found was that State did not involve any of these key partners in the development of its plans. And in fact, they told us that they were not even aware in some instances that there was a plan to create this new bureau.
So that’s where we came up with our recommendation, in part based on our prior work on government reorganization that emphasizes the importance of including key agency stakeholders, as well as effective state’s own rationale for creating the new Bureau was to improve this internal and external coordination. So we ultimately, because of that, recommended that State involve key federal agencies, the six we looked at, and perhaps others to obtain their views, identify any risks, suggestions for how to best set up this new bureau before they move forward.
The State Department did not consult with the GAO.
“EU goes forward with China investment deal despite Biden objections, Stanford blames botched vaccine rollout on a faulty algorithm, and AI takes to the skies with the USAF,” according to the link on the Tweet.
The coronavirus took a heavy toll on the global economy in 2020. Wait, let me rephrase that. The exploitation of the coronavirus by tyrant dictator Democrat governors and mayors took a heavy toll on the global economy. Small businesses in the United States were shut down while leftist politicians’ good buddies who are billionaires that own giant leftist-run corporations, like Jeff Bezos who owns Amazon and the Washington Post, did just fine. In fact, Bezos said that because of coronavirus Amazon made an additional $70 Billion in 2020. The leftist tyrant dictators planned this to attack the funding of their opponents in the Republican Party, knowing that small business being the backbone of our economy are also the backbone of donations to GOP candidates. It’s sickening to even think about how diabolical the Left are, shutting down people’s livelihoods for political gains.
Math, which cannot be spun differently by Fake News, Democrats and liars (but I repeat myself) shows us that we are on a collision course with an economic meltdown that truth be told has been coming for some time, but has been exacerbated in recent decades. We are now $27 trillion in debt, and that isn’t counting the unfunded liabilities of pensions and benefits etc. that have been promised to people for votes over the years that totals more than $300 trillion at the moment. Let’s forget about that last one for a bit and focus on the fact that our economy does not make $27 trillion in any given year, even under the Trump economy, the greatest economy of our history as Americans. There is no way we can ever pay that money back, if things don’t change radically.
Think about it this way. If you are in debt for say $100,000 for a loan that you took out years ago and you just can’t get yourself out from under it, the only way to knock out that loan is to bring in more money in order to be able to pay it off. If you’re in business, the way you do that is you produce more stuff to sell. If you are an individual who has that kind of burden then the only way out of it is to either cut back on your current spending and put the money you didn’t spend into paying off the loan, or you go out and get another job or some other way to earn more income. Math says that there was no other way out of it responsibly. In the end, you must create more growth in your income.
Right now, the politicians in Washington, DC just showed us by abandoning President Donald Trump on the coronavirus stimulus relief package that they just aren’t interested in getting serious about the spending problem. We already know that the Democrats are driving us off of a cliff going a hundred miles per hour, but now we see that even the Republicans in Congress, who are normally more fiscally responsible than the Democrats, are driving us off the financial cliff at around fifty-five miles per hour. Both parties are driving us off the cliff, just at different speeds. That’s how it’s really been for decades, only now we have a problem where we are reaching the critical point of no return, a point where if we keep the insane spending habits like a $2.3 trillion stimulus bill that pays out $25 million for gender training in Pakistan and $25 million to combat Asian carp while Americans have been forced into poverty by dictator tyrants locking them down.
And not one of the politicians in the swamp has ever asked me if I mind that they are spending this kind of money that they demand I pay back in ever-increasing taxes. It’s ludicrous.
However, there is a possible way out. Remember, I said you have to produce more stuff in order to earn enough to get us out of this kind of debt. It will be a long shot, because I have zero, actually less than zero, faith in DC politicians doing the right thing, but maybe the private sector can do their jobs for them instead by producing more stuff.
So, how will the private sector get us out of the economic mess we have allowed our elected officials to get us into? We are right now on the cuff of technological advances that, if government gets the hell out of the way, could create an explosion of productivity growth.
Productivity is the engine for any economy. Productivity is what Democrats and RINOs leech from to pay for their socialistic programs, but nevertheless, the amount of productivity we’re talking about here could overcome the parasites from the DC swamp to be good for everyone.
We can escape the economic doom by the AI revolution and other technology revolutions we are now entering. Advances in AI language generation and an mRNA vaccine production, along with leaps in the production of solar power that really works are just a few of the things that will generate a new economy to merge with the existing one.
One of the biggest problems we’ve had with the green movement like a AOC’s Green New Deal, is that they wanted to completely replace the fossil fuel industry and our current economic system that we have now with their stupid green ideas. I’m not saying that green is a stupid idea, I’m saying that AOC’s green ideas are stupid, just to be clear.
In reality, both engines of productivity could simultaneously exist and enhance one another.
There are so many technological breakthroughs that are being realized right now that the productivity coming from just the industries being created from the breakthroughs could get us out of the economic mess we’re in.
According to economist Tyler Cowen, looked at affordable solar power and remote work and asked if total factor productivity (TFP), which is a best guess of the effect that strategic progress with technology has on economic productivity and believes that 2021 “will be remarkably high, maybe the highest ever?” Yeah, just in time for the Democrats to take credit and claim it had nothing to do with Trump’s economy exploding, thus giving industries the capital to be able to create the new technologies, that’s what Democrats always do before they screw everything up in the end. Read more from Cowen here. Just as an FYI, Cowen is the guy who wrote the book, “The Great Stagnation: How America Ate All The Low-Hanging Fruit of Modern History, Got Sick, and Will (Eventually) Feel Better,” where he discusses the slowdown of wage and productivity growth even during the Internet age that changed every way we live our lives from the past.
If government stays the hell out of its way, we could look back on 2020, the armpit of calendar years, as the launchpad for an era of increased productivity. Like any industry the short term can be painful and costly to invest in new technology, but after that period, when growth kicks in, the sky’s the limit. With the technological advances we’re right on the cusp of experiencing, there could be an exponential growth in the coming years to call this decade another Roaring Twenties.
But all of this excitement for the future of our economy is balanced by the need for our government to not get their greedy little hands on it, to let it grow without trying to leech off the benefits right away. Remember when the Internet first became a thing and the Republicans in Congress back in the 1990s made sales on the Net tax-free for the first ten years? They did that because they knew government leeching off those sales would have never allowed the Internet to catch on and get off the ground. And even then the Democrats within the first year started barking about the need to break their promise of tax-free sales online, because of greed. Thank God they weren’t in charge then. But right now, if God forbid Joe Biden does win the White House, and God forbid the Democrats take over both houses of Congress, based on their usual modus operandi behavior, they will screw everything up with greed for money and power, and we will lose the shot we have at producing more stuff to get us out of the debt we now face, and out economy will soon collapse. That frightening scenario is very real and it depends on how much we as a free people will allow our elected representatives to screw us out of a potentially good future. Our future is up to us.
There are not a lot of issues that liberals and conservatives can agree on these days.
When looking at the democratic and republic national platforms, there appears to be ZERO chance for compromise.
Well, actually they seem to agree on the belief that a handful of tech companies are monopolizing their markets, with no end anytime soon and must be broken up.
As a capitalist, I am typical against government intrusion into businesses but with the influence, these corporations have in controlling messaging nationwide, using increased censorship, this time I might be on board with Uncle Sam.
Politico reports that federal antitrust authorities and dozens of states are set to launch a double-barreled legal assault against Facebook over allegations of antitrust violations. Both lawsuits aim to force Facebook to break up its empire which includes messaging service WhatsApp and photo-sharing app Instagram.
Attorneys general from 48 U.S. states and territories, including New York, is behind one of the suits that were first hinted at last week. The second suit filed by the FTC is set to be filed later this afternoon. New York States attorney general, Tish James, announced two months later that she was leading a multistate coalition probing antitrust concerns of Facebook.
The cases accuse Facebook of illegally using its power for more than a decade to push out rivals and buy out rising competitors, noting WhatsApp and Instagram as specific examples of this. Facebook has continued to purchase multiple companies despite recent scrutiny, Breitbart News recently reported on Facebook’s purchase of the customer service startup Kustomer in a deal valued at more than $1 billion.
The suit is part of the growing concerns world governments have when trying to prevent complete market domination by these massive U.S. tech firms. In October, the Justice Department and a smaller group of U.S. states filed a similar antitrust lawsuit against Google.
Facebook has actually denied being a monopoly, pointing out that it ranks behind Google in how much revenue it takes from the $160 billion global markets for online advertising. Oh, so these two dominate their market spaces but since Facebook is a little behind Google, they should not be a concern for regulators?
