A group of Democrats have filed an ethics complaint against Sen Josh Hawley and Sen Ted Cruz. Those Democratic Senators include Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Ron Wyden (D-OR), Tina Smith (D-MN), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Mazie Hirono (D-HI), and Sherrod Brown (D-OH). These same Democrats never considered filing ethics complaints against any Democrat who did exactly the same in 2001, 2005 and 2017.
In 2001, Maxine Waters objected to the election of George W Bush. In 2005 Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, D-Ohio, and then-Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif objected and in 2017 it was radical Rep Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash. None of them were charged with ethics complaints. And for good reason. The law gives members of congress the right to object to the electoral vote.
Objecting to the Counting of One or More Electoral Votes Provisions in 3 U.S.C. §15 include a procedure for making and acting on objections to the counting of one or more of the electoral votes from a state or the District of Columbia. When the certificate or equivalent paper from each state (or the District of Columbia) is read, “the President of the Senate shall call for objections, if any.”
Any such objection must be presented in writing and must be signed by at least one Senator and one Representative. The objection “shall state clearly and concisely, and without argument, the ground thereof. ” During the joint session of January 6, 2001, the presiding officer intervened on several occasions to halt attempts to make speeches under the guise of offering an objection.
Hawley then decided that he had a complaint against the Democrats who failed to recognize his right of free speech or the law allowing members of congress to object to electoral results.
Hawley wrote in his ethics complaint:
In light of the shameful abuse of the ethics process you have deliberately engaged in, I have considered whether I should call for you to resign or be expelled from the Senate. But I continue to believe in the First Amendment, which the US Supreme Court has repeatedly said protects even “offensive” and malicious speech, such as yours.
The First Amendment does not, however, give you carte blanche to abuse the Senate ethics process. I have today filed a complaint with the ethics committee that details your deliberate and partisan abuse of this process, including your apparent coordination with various dark money groups, and requests that you be appropriately disciplined.
Hawley asked the ethics committee if:
Coordinated with the Never Trump organization the Lincoln Project, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), MoveOn, Voto Latino, the Sierra Club, and other outside organizations.
Coordinated with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the Joe Biden administration, and other members of Democrat leadership.
Coordinated with lobbyists for corporations urging the suspension of those corporations’ political contributions.
Hawley asks that the Democratic Senators be punished for using the ethics process to be weaponized against anyone that disagrees with them and to assure they refrain from doing so in the future.
NBC host Chuck Todd, who is always in the running to overtake CNN’s Brian Stelter as the dumbest newsman in the news media, had it out with Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) over a number of Republican members of Congress who are planning to dispute the certification of Joe Biden winning the 2020 election due to questions of massive election fraud.
After being accused of trying to thwart the democratic process, Johnson hit back by telling sleepy eyes Todd that they are trying to protect it.
“We are not acting to thwart the democratic process, we are acting to protect it,” Johnson said to Todd.
“The fact of the matter is we have an unsustainable state of affairs in this country where we have tens of millions of people who do not view this election result as legitimate,” Johnson added.
The senator from Wisconsin added, “As long as somebody is going to be objecting to this and we’re going to take a vote, let’s propose a solution in terms of transparency, investigation, with a commission.”
Todd, like all mainstream news media activists, saw his job as trashing Johnson and continuing to spread the lie that there is no evidence of election fraud based on the courts dismissing multiple cases brought on by Republicans. What Todd and every other left-wing activist with a news program forgets to mention is that none of the cases were tossed by judges based on bad evidence. They were never allowed to even present their evidence before the judges threw out the cases. Don’t you think that’s a pretty important fact that Todd should have acknowledged?
“You made an allegation there was widespread fraud, you have failed to offer specific evidence of that widespread fraud, but you’re demanding an investigation on the grounds that there are allegations of widespread fraud. So essentially you’re the arsonist here. President Trump is the arsonist here,” Todd spit out at Johnson.
Here’s the most frustrating thing about all of this. There is massive amounts of evidence showing election fraud, but losers like Chuck Todd refused to air it. There were legislature hearings in all of the key battleground states where whistleblowers and witnesses filed over a thousand affidavits signed upon penalty of perjury who testified to reveal election fraud they witnessed first hand.
The hearings were all aired on YouTube, because cretins like Chuck Todd refused to air them. None of the mainstream news media outlets aired a single hearing, and I believe they stayed away from them so that they could continue to lie to their viewers about there being no evidence.
Here is just one example of an expert witness who testified as to the results of a 2020 voter data analysis he did for the Georgia election, where he discovered there were tens of thousands of fraudulent votes in numerous categories.
“Because you didn’t have the guts to tell the truth that this election was fair!” Todd continued.
Johnson fired back at the lamebrain pointing to him as being the arsonist because media types like Todd “dropped any pretense of being unbiased and actually chose sides during the election.”
Todd and others in the Fake News media are acting like the Republicans contesting the election results is an unprecedented affair.
Let me remind them that the last three times a Republican won a presidential election the Democrats in the House brought objections to the Electoral votes the Republican won.
Lest they forget that the House Democrats contested both elections of former President George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004 and President Trump’s win in 2016.
Senator Josh Hawley (R- MO) announced last week that he will object to Electoral College certification, and that brought a large amount of condemnation from Democrats who praised their own party’s objections to GOP victories in 2000, 2004 and 2016. Democrats always accuse Republicans of doing things that they actually did.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called the Republican’s objections to the 2020 election “conspiracy and fantasy.” I’d love to know how much Schumer is involved in the attempts to steal the Georgia senate runoff elections being held today.
Schumer said, “The effort by the sitting president of the United States to overturn the results is patently undemocratic. The effort by others to amplify and burnish his ludicrous claims of fraud is equally revolting.”
So, then what would he call when the Democrats did it three times? The clowns literally claimed Donald Trump was a Russian asset after his 2016 victory.
“This is America. We have elections. We have results. We make arguments based on the fact and reason—not conspiracy and fantasy,” he added. He said this even though he know that Democrats have been challenging the electoral vote for every Republican victory for decades.
In 2005, Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), along with Representative Stephanie Tubbs (D-OH), objected to Bush’s 2004 electoral votes in Ohio.
Democrats championed Boxer’s actions at the time, including Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL). Yet last week, Durbin described Republican objections as “the political equivalent of barking at the moon.” Speaking of barking at the moon, Durbin is a known liar who throws out lies to push conspiracy theories.
The fact of the matter is the Constitution provides lots of remedies for situations we are in right now. Donald Trump won the 2020 election by a landslide, and the Democrats stole it from him. You have to be dumb as a box of hair or a CNN viewer to not understand that after the evidence has been presented from all battleground states. It’s overwhelming, despite the fact that the Democrats and their boot-licking sycophants in the mainstream news media ignore or lie about it. The Republicans have every right to object.
Walmart, who took to Twitter to lash out at Senator Josh Hawley as he was going viral for committing to represent the concerns of the American people, is one of those brands that has survived numerous public relations hits by the elitist left and yet just damaged their own brand from the inside by trashing their own shoppers. It is doubtful they will be able to recover.
“Go ahead. Get your 2-hour debate. #soreloser,” Walmart posted (and took down).
Hawley tweeted: “Thanks, @Walmart , for your insulting condescension. Now that you’ve insulted 75 million Americans, will you at least apologize for using slave labor?”
He added: “Or maybe you’d like to apologize for the pathetic wages you pay your workers as you drive mom and pop stores out of business.”
TROUBLE IN CCP MERCHANDISE HEAVEN?
“Every time you have the urge to shop at Wal-Mart, remember this multinational corporation is the single greatest enabler of the theft of American jobs. It’s way past their corporate charter to go after Hawley and reveals their pro-CCP bent,” Peter Navarro posted on Twitter in reaction to the story.
The left collectively and publicly mock Walmart shoppers as low class, deplorable, and tacky. The left even has a popular meme series called “the people of Walmart,” which is nothing more than branding Walmart shoppers as tacky and low class.
So it made big news when tone-deaf Walmart struck out at Hawley as a “sore loser” on Tuesday after his announcement to champion the people’s interest in the 2020 Presidential election and then quickly pulled their tweet down.
But not before many people saw it.
Here is the timeline of what happened.
Hawley did something that was somewhat uncharacteristic of him and announced that he was planning on supporting President Donald J. Trump and the American people in their concerns over voter fraud.
“Millions of voters concerned about election integrity deserve to be heard. I will object on January 6 on their behalf,” Hawley posted.
So Walmart sided with the Democrats and Trump’s opposition, and the very people who mocked their shoppers and posted that Hawley was a loser, and by proxy- rebuking the working-class Trump supporters who have been defending Walmart for years.
Today U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) announced he would object during the Electoral College certification process on January 6, 2021. Senator Hawley will object to highlight the failure of some states, including notably Pennsylvania, to follow their own election laws and the unprecedented interference of Big Tech monopolies in the election. He will call for Congress to launch a full investigation of potential fraud and election irregularities and enact election integrity measures.
Democrats have previously objected during the certification process for the 2004 and 2016 Presidential elections.
Senator Hawley said, “Following both the 2004 and 2016 elections, Democrats in Congress objected during the certification of electoral votes to raise concerns about election integrity. They were praised by Democratic leadership and the media when they did. And they were entitled to do so. But now, those of us concerned about the integrity of this election are entitled to do the same.
“I cannot vote to certify the electoral college results on January 6 without raising the fact that some states, particularly Pennsylvania, failed to follow their own state election laws. And I cannot vote to certify without pointing out the unprecedented effort of mega-corporations, including Facebook and Twitter, to interfere in this election, in support of Joe Biden. At the very least, Congress should investigate allegations of voter fraud and adopt measures to secure the integrity of our elections. But Congress has so far failed to act.
“For these reasons, I will follow the same practice Democrat members of Congress have in years past and object during the certification process on January 6 to raise these critical issues.”
Background On Previous Objections to Electoral College Vote Certification
In 2005, Senator Barbara Boxer and Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones Objected to the Electoral College Votes from Ohio.
Stephanie Tubs-Jones Said, “I Raise This Objection Because I Am Convinced That We As A Body Must Conduct A Formal And Legitimate Debate About Election Irregularities.” (C-SPAN, 1/6/05, 3:10-3:20)
Boxer views her 2005 objection as “her proudest moment on the Senate floor,” according to CNN. (CNN, 12/27/2020)
In January 2005, 31 Congressional Democrats Voted To Reject Ohio’s Electoral Votes. (CNN, 1/6/05)
Nancy Pelosi Praised The 2005 Objections, Saying Democrats Were “Speaking Up For Their Aggrieved Constituents” During “Their Only Opportunity To Have This Debate While The Country Is Listening”
Nancy Pelosi Said, “We Are Witnessing Democracy At Work,” And “This Debate Is Fundamental To Our Democracy.” “[T]oday we are witnessing democracy at work. This is not, as some of our Republican colleagues have referred to it, sadly, frivolous. This debate is fundamental to our democracy.” (C-SPAN, 1/6/05, 32:49-33:08)
Pelosi Said Democrats Were “Speaking Up For Their Aggrieved Constituents, Many Of Whom May Have Been Disenfranchised In This Process.” “The Members of Congress who have brought this challenge are speaking up for their aggrieved constituents, many of whom may have been disenfranchised in this process. This is their only opportunity to have this debate while the country is listening, and it is appropriate to do so. If there were other venues of this caliber, we would have taken that opportunity. But this is the opportunity. We have a responsibility to take advantage of it.” (C-SPAN, 1/6/05, 34:14-34:45)
Pelosi Said, “This Is Their Only Opportunity To Have This Debate While The Country Is Listening” And “We Have A Responsibility To Take Advantage Of It.” (C-SPAN, 1/6/05, 34:14-34:45)
Pelosi Said, “Do Not Talk About This As A ‘Conspiracy Theory.'” “[P]lease do not talk about this as a ‘conspiracy theory.’ It is not about that. It is not about the conspiracy; it is about the Constitution of the United States.” (C-SPAN, 1/6/05, 39:50-40:03)
In 2017, At Least Seven House Democrats Sought To Object To Electoral Votes In Favor Of President Trump:
Jim McGovern Said, “The Electors Were Not Lawfully Certified, Especially Given The Confirmed And Illegal Activities Engaged By The Government Of Russia.” (CNN, 1/6/17)
Raul Grijalva Objected After North Carolina’s Tally. (CNN, 1/6/17)
Pramila Jayapal Objected To Georgia’s Vote Certificate. (CNN, 1/6/17)
Jamie Raskin Objected To 10 Of Florida’s 29 Electoral Votes, Saying “They Violated Florida’s Prohibition Against Dual Office Holders.” (CNN, 1/6/17)
Remember Walmart shoppers are trashed constantly by the elite left, to the point where the political class refers to Trump supporters as “smelly Walmart people,” which started with Lisa Page texting her lover, corrupted FBI agent Peter Strok, that she could smell the hated Trump supporters in a Walmart.
And the left wants to dictate to Walmart what they call sell:
And makes fun of their shoppers:
The Washington Examiner reported on Hawley’s move:
“Hawley became the first senator to confirm his intention to object despite Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s insistence that his caucus not support the challenge. Several House Republicans have said they plan to challenge it. Biden is set to be inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2021.
Congress members objecting during this certification step is not unprecedented. Democrats have attempted this maneuver twice since the turn of the century, but neither was successful because a member of the Senate did not sign on to either.”
Walmart later in the day issued an apology, claiming that the post was a mistake.
“The tweet was mistakenly posted by a member of our social media team who intended to publish this comment to their personal account,” Casey Staheli, Walmart’s senior manager of national media relations, told Newsweek.
“We have removed the post and have no intention of commenting on the subject of certifying the Electoral College,” Staheli added. “We apologize to Senator Hawley for this error and any confusion about our position.”
This is what totalitarianism looks like in our time. There are no men beating people who are chained to a wall in a damp, darkened basement, or government storm troopers busting down your door because you legally own a firearm. No, totalitarianism today comes from high tech leftists who run interference for their preferred political candidate by wiping out the evidence provided by the use of Free Speech.
That’s what the social media giants did to the New York Post’s explosive report on Hunter Biden, revealing why the famed vice-presidential son was hired by a corrupt Ukrainian energy company, Burisma Holdings, in exchange for a reported $83,000 a month.
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has since said the way the social media giant handled the posting of the story by White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany was “unacceptable,” but the Times’ account was still locked down as of this morning.
According to e-mails obtained by The Post, Hunter introduced the Burisma Holdings’ executives to his father, Joe Biden, who happened to be the vice president of the United States, making him the second-most powerful man on earth, who allegedly was in the business of selling the influence of his office as he has done his entire political career.
This news is fair game and in the interest of the American people, especially since they are voting right now. Joe Biden lied to America when he repeatedly said he never spoke with his son about any of his business dealings. This bombshell information proves Biden is a liar. But, since it would and should embarrass big tech’s favorite old man, the social media giants went into cover up for Joe mode immediately.
Andy Stone, a PR guy for Facebook, said, “We are reducing [the Post story’s] distribution on our platform.” Before once worked for Democratic Senator Barbara “please call me senator” Boxer and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, yet he maintained that Facebook’s action was “part of our standard process to reduce the spread of ‘misinformation’.” Sure, and I’m Mary, Queen of Scots.
Twitter was also performing an in-kind donation to the Biden campaign when they started blocking users from spreading the story claiming they did the immediate cover up because of “the lack of authoritative reporting on the origins of the materials included” in the report.
Wait, what? The New York Post story gave details of exact how they received the material and the evidence that supports the material. The Post could not have been more forthcoming about their sources, yet they got banned, along with others who posted the link to the story.
How does this compare to the thousands of anti Trump and anti Trump administration stories that have been posted on the same social media platforms since the day Donald Trump was elected, all of which turned out to be Fake News and sheet garbage, all designed to harm Trump’s next election, which is in 19 days? How come the social media censors didn’t take similar actions against all that left-wing garbage?
Remember the whole Russian collusion hoax? To this day Twitter and Facebook allow leftists to post anti Trump tirades about how the president is a puppet to Vladimir Putin with abandon.
How about the current lies reported every day that Trump did not take the Chinese virus pandemic seriously and that his inaction caused the needless death of thousands, despite the fact that the Trump administration mobilized an effort the likes of which was never seen before to combat the virus? The incredible amount of things this president has done to combat the virus is unprecedented, but even today you can post the lies about Trump and his handling of the pandemic. No social media platform would even consider questioning those lies.
How about every time Joe Biden repeats the Charlottesville lie where he clearly distorts the fact that Donald Trump condemned the racial hate groups the neo-Nazis and white nationalists claiming the president referred to them as “very fine people?” To this day the tech giants to do put warning labels on those posts that they are lies.
Thousands of posts have made their way onto social media platforms and repeated by so-called news journalists, that Trump has never disavowed racial hate groups, when the facts show that President Trump has condemned racial hate groups more than any other past president or candidate for office. Yet, there’s no taking down of such posts, nor any warning labels that show the easily debunked lies as misleading.
On the very day Trump was inaugurated Time did a Fake News story about the MLK bust being removed from the White House. Even though the story was completely false, with the author Zeke Miller later admitting he never even asked anyone at the White House if the bust was removed, instead writing the fake story because he looked around and didn’t see it. Social media never stopped people from spreading that garbage piece.
To this day Fake News reporters and anchors, along with Hollywood leftists continually post on social media that Trump will not leave the White House if he loses in November. Despite the fact that Trump has never said that, the posts go on every day without Twitter or Facebook judging them as misleading.
As Ben Shapiro just tweeted, this is the world we live in now.
Just about every Democrat politician has spread the lie that there is something nefarious in Trump’s tax returns. There is no way to prove whether there are or not, because even after some of his taxes were illegally obtained by the New York Times and others, nothing nefarious has ever been shown, yet they continue to report that Trump is hiding something, and none of it is ever questioned by the censors at tech giant firms.
Nick Sandmann was besmirched by many news networks for doing absolutely nothing wrong the day an activist Native American pounded a drum in his face while he simply smiled back at him. The media invented things that never happened, called for his arrest, expulsion from school etc., and social media never stopped any of it, even though Sandmann was a minor. The young man has since won giant awards in court settlements, proving to the rest of us that they admitted guilt and wanted to save a few million dollars, but news stories galore were allowed to be posted on the same sites that just censored a story about Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
I could go on and on and on and on and on with hundreds of Fake News stories about Trump, Republicans and conservatives that have been posted every day of the week for fours years that are never challenged by social media “fact checkers.”
The Washington Post has an official slogan: “Democracy dies in darkness.” I’m here to tell you that they, along with all the other Fake News networks out there, are the darkness, as they lied repeatedly every day of the week.
CNN refers to themselves as “The most trusted name in news,” which is a complete joke in itself. The most unreliable source in news is CNN’s Reliable Sources, which spends every episode going over the vast amount of lies reported that week as truth.
MSNBC had a reporter standing in front of a burning building during a riot with a chyron at the bottom of the screen saying the event was “mostly peaceful,” posted all over social media.
All of these networks posted lies on social media every day for three years about the Russian collusion hoax, and the tech giants didn’t stop a single one of them.
Freedom dies when information is blocked and Free Speech rights denied, publicly or in the town square of social media.
