Democrats and liberals were wrong. Gee, where did I hear that one before? They either don’t know the numbers or they’re lying.
Not taking into consideration all the cheating that happened during the 2020 election, despite the COVID-19 pandemic virus with Democrat governors and mayors locking people down like criminals, the 2020 election had the highest turnout of the 21st century.
2020 saw the largest increase in voters between two presidential elections on record with more than 17 million people voting than in 2016. Again, many of those voters were phantoms who only existed on the paper that was submitted.
Even so, the Democrats can no longer tell us that there is voter suppression going on when you have 17 million more voters voting than in the previous presidential election.
The number of voters aged 18 and older who voted in 2020 was up 5 percent from 2016, reaching 67 percent.
In 2020, 73 percent of all voting-age citizens were registered to vote, which was 2 percent higher than 2016. Again, dead people and people who moved out of states they still voted in are not real people, but if we have to go by these numbers, then so be it. The Democrats do not have a leg to stand on when they claim they need HR-1 so that the federal government can take over all states’ election laws so they can legalize cheating.
The China virus did not prevent any Americans from registering or voting at higher rates than before. Only 2 percent of age-eligible voters who didn’t register said it was because of fear of the COVID-19 virus. Only 4 percent of registered voters who did not vote said it was because of fears over COVID-19.
Many of the voters used the gourmet methods of voting that Democrats favor so much. Voting methods like early voting and mail-in voting. The latter was very popular among Democrat operatives this time around.
The numbers being used here came from data that was released back in April from the Current Population Survey’s November 2020 Voting and Registration Supplement.
This supplement provides a special look at the characteristics of American voters.
Turnout numbers in 2020 came in higher than in 2016 for White, Black, Asian, and Hispanics, and other groups.
The biggest rise was for Asians with 59 percent who were legally eligible to vote reported that they voted in 2020, fully ten points higher than in 2016 which came in at 49 percent.
Voter registration for Asians saw a big increase at 64 percent compared to 56 percent back in 2016.
2020 also revealed higher turnout rates for:
- Non-Hispanic Whites: 71% voter turnout, compared to 65% in 2016.
- Hispanics: 54%, compared to 48% in 2016.
- Non-Hispanic Blacks: 63%, compared to 60% in 2016. While voter turnout in this group was higher than in 2016, it did not exceed turnout in 2008 (65%).
In past elections, black voter turnout exceeded Asian turnout by 18 percent in 2008 and by 20 percent in 2012. To give a little perspective, black voter turnout in 2020 was just 3 percent higher than Asian turnout.
Women voters in 2020 came out strong at 68 percent, which beat out the guys who came out at 65 percent. Contrast that to 2016 with 63 percent women and 59 percent men and you see that both groups increased for 2020.
All age groups saw voter turnout increase in 2020 over 2016. The group by age with the largest turnout was 18 to 34:
- For citizens ages 18-34, 57% voted in 2020, up from 49% in 2016.
- In the 35-64 age group, turnout was 69%, compared to 65% in 2016.
- In the 65 and older group, 74% voted in 2020, compared to 71% in 2016.
Changes in the nation’s population makeup also play a role in voter turnout.
Hispanic voter turnout for the first time surpassed the 10 percent mark in a presidential election. That’s probably because they realized that in Donald Trump, for the first time in their lives they felt they had a president who cared about them and wanted to see them succeed, despite the ranting and raving by Fake News spewing lies that Trump was a racist. In 2020, Hispanics made up 11 percent of the total turnout just behind black voters who came out at 12 percent.
Either way, you look at it, the Democrats can no longer cry voter suppression. Stacey Abrams is out of a job. According to the outstanding numbers, in America, if you wanted to vote in the 2020 election you were able to vote. That’s how it’s supposed to be, so the Democrats can stuff their crisis-laden hyperbolic rhetoric that minority voters are being suppressed.
